We ordered Tofu Panang Curry and the Eggplant Basil w/ Tofu. Both dishes were delicious. I wish I ordered one of their noodle dishes though. The ambiance is very aesthetic and the place is very social because it was filled with many people. Would definitely recommend this place. Crying tiger had a light char which tasted great! I had never tried papaya salad and this one came as a side to our meat and it was delicious. I am so glad that my friend and I made a last minute decision to change restaurants. This place has been on my bucket list of restaurants for a while. I also love how it's so close by to my job as well. I didn't realize how close it was. Upon arrival, the staff members are very attentive. The service was very efficient. Ambiance is quite homey and they have Valentine's Day decor as well as lunar new year decor. We got the shu mai topped with a crispy garlic garnish on top. I recently visited for the first time, and even though it was busy and we didn't have a reservation, the service was quick and the food came out incredibly fast and fresh. We ordered the coconut shrimp, papaya salad (medium spice--just right!), Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, and crab fried rice to share between four people. Every dish hit the mark, and we left with full bellies and happy hearts. The restaurant is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed with light wood accents and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The hardest part is that is there is very limited option for a vegan or vegetarian in many restaurants. I've been here twice, and forgot to write a review the first time. Second time I went, they had very nice decor for Lunar New Year! Service is super quick, even when it's packed. Entrees: Pad See Ew is very consistent, I've enjoyed it with both beef and with tofu! the pork jerky is a nice appetizer, but I've heard that the wings are good as well. Garlic pepper beef seems like a small portion initially but it is extremely filling! the cuts they use for the beef are very generous and tender, so it was easy to eat. Desserts: Mango sticky rice was delicious! One of the times I visited, it was to celebrate my birthday and they gave me a vanilla ice cream with a candle & chocolate, so that was very sweet of them. If you're in the area, you should definitely give this place a try. My favorite local Thai restaurant! There's usually a long wait but it's honestly so worth it. If you're coming in with a large party, I'd recommend calling their sister restaurant, Ari's Thai, in Azusa. It's pretty much the same menu just slightly bigger space to accommodate large parties last minute if Basil & Co is too packed. My husband and I love their pork jerky & papaya salads! I also personally love their pad thai (if you like rich and saucy hehe) and shrimp tom yum soup. We always invite our large family over when everyone's in town and they all are so impressed. We also get their Thai tea and Vietnamese iced coffees with our orders. I'm here at least once a month because I am always craving their pad Thai! We went with a large party of 15 not too long ago and our table spread had all these food options & everyone enjoyed it.
