Life changing!! We were literally sleeping with 3 fans in our room when I finally convinced my husband that we needed a/c. I called about 6 companies for an estimate, but when I met Vik from Basic Air, I just had good vibes and didn't feel like I was being sold something. The quote was very detailed and I knew everything I was getting. There was no "upselling", everything we needed was in one quote. We needed to replace our dinosaur furnace and move it into the attic, replace all the duct work, upgrade our electric panel, and find a place to put the unit. When Vik and his crew of 10 showed up (on a 90 degree day) they were all smiles and worked liked a well oiled machine. It was a very impressive scene. By the next day, we were able to hit "cool" in our house and had immediate relief. Vik stopped by to explain the best uses of the system and we learned how to cool the house before we come home on our phone, or how to fan the house when we had a house full of guests. When we received out electric bill, I was prepared for a scare, but because Basic Air put in a large system that didn't have to work at full capacity, it was only about 25% higher (not triple as I expected). I thank Vik, Abraham, and the entire family at Basic Air for changing my quality of life and working in an honest and efficient way. read more

UPDATE- On 4/3/22, SC Edison's transformer had blown, causing our AC equipment to burn out. I called Vik on 4/4 and in 2 hours, Ryan from Basic Air showed up to troubleshoot the problem. The transformer, thermostat, motherboard and internal fan were burnt out. Ryan buttoned everything up and said he would come back once the parts could be ordered, which he warned us could take a few days dur to availability. The next day on 4/5, to our surprise, Tonya from Basic Air called and said Ryan was on his way with the parts. Ryan repaired or replaced all of the parts required and tested our system. Everything was back in good working order! We could not have been more pleased with Vik, Ryan, Abe and Tonya's assistance and professionalism in getting our system operational in such record time. Basic Air is outstanding, I don't believe we would have received such great service anywhere else. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, BASIC AIR! read more

Vic and his entire crew was very professional and easy to work with from start to finish. The crew was very clean working on site and completely cleaned after every day. They even finished a day early. I highly recommend this company. I will never use anyone else. Thank you for the GREAT AC!!! read more

A++. Had A/C installed in our house recently. Met with Vik and he explained everything that was going to be done and some recommendations he had. Very knowledgable and professional. I have done most of the reno work on my house myself so I am pretty picky about contractors but man these guys killed it! I could tell right away they were legit. The crew was awesome. I have a pregnant wife at home as well as two young dogs. They were very accommodating and polite. After the install was done we did a walk through and there wasn't one wire/hose out of place. They had moved the heater from the main floor to the attic and it was totally dialed. Again, very professional, You could tell they had pride in their work and it shows. 12/10. If you need A/C / HVAC these are the guys to do it! Thanks basic air! read more

Vik and the crew at Basic Air were the absolute best. True professionals. I would recommend them to anyone especially my friends and family. They did a superb job installing a new HVAC system for my home. They took care of every detail. New vents, ducting, abatement, new thermostat. Great customer service!! read more

Great company! They installed our air conditioning in a day and 1/2 with a crew of probably 6-8 guys that were respectful of our home, making sure carpet, floors and furniture was covered to avoid dust etc.. Vik, the owner, walked me through everything and showed me how to use phone app to handle AC& heat mobiley, and was super easy to work with. I'd highly recommend hiring Basic Air! read more

we had a great experience with Basic Air and I would highly recommend them! Vic was fantastic and they came in at the lowest quote. We had an issue in the middle of the job with our landlord and Vic was professional and super helpful. His team was very considerate too as I was working from home. read more

Can I give them more than 5 stars? They deserve more!! Abraham and his crew helped me out of a terrible time crunch with my HOA and with the City, moving a 300 pound (or whatever) AC Condenser on incredibly short notice, so my escrow wouldn't be messed up. He saved me from a hassle I was praying to avoid, and he did it at a very fair price and he did it with almost zero notice. Phenomenal Service!!! read more

My new hvac units (2) were installed two weeks ago and I decided now was the time to write! The crew was clean, masked and very professional! They worked all day and then even vacuumed when they were done! And the ease and efficiency of the system since installation has me over the moon! Thank you very much for a job well done! read more

Basic Air Inc installed an air conditioning/heating system in my condo. Two contractors refused the job, before Basic Air accepted the challenge. Only one U.S. company makes air conditioners from 1980's, and the other two contractors told me the job was to complicated and demanding. Abraham, the owner and his techie men finished the job in two days, and I became a completely satisfied customer. Abraham and Hosana, his wife easily access city permits, license and inspection appointments. This company is amazing! read more

We returned from vacation to find our AC not working - during a huge heat wave. Called at least ten AC companies, and this was the first place that called me back. Was able to come to my house the next day and fixed my problem (fuse blown) quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable price. Thanks for calling me back when no one else would! And fixing my issue in one visit. Brian was very polite and careful. When the second fuse blew, I called them back and Hozanna sent Abraham over and he fixed it after hours and put in a booster to prevent fuses blowing in the future. Thank you!!! read more

Basic Air installed our new heater and air conditioning. The job was completed professionally. The team showed up on time, and worked carefully to complete the job. Abraham and his son, Vic, made sure everything was done to pass the city inspection. Basic Air was recommended to us by a neighbor. We found their prices were lower that what other companies were charging. read more

Hands down fantastic! We moved into our new home that didn't have Air conditioning and furnace was in the hall way. I needed Asbestos removal, and furnace moved into attic. I had a couple quotes and Basic air was recommended by a neighbor who had used them. The workers were polite, clean, and understood I am working from home. I have pets and they made sure that Everytime they exited door was closed which is a big deal. I am so happy I went with this company. You can tell they take pride in their work. I highly recommend to anyone looking for any air conditioning and heating work to use Basic Air. read more

Bought a used home in North Tustin. Air worked poorly. Previously from Seal Beach and had a new system installed there by a different company that we would never use again. What a difference. Recommended to Basic Air by our realtor. Basic Air gave us a Fair price, great customer service, they are honest, dependable, and Abraham makes sure what he said would get done, gets done. There are few companies around like this anymore. We know, we have redone many homes over the years and seldom a great experience like with Basic Air. Highly recommend. I had another situation that occurred with regards to my unit and the heating unit put in. I was doing some winter cleaning in a utility closet and noticed that there was some dry wall issues. The area of concern was right below the heating unit installed last year. I was unsure if the weight of the unit was an issue so I called Basic Air. Mind you the unit was installed in March of 2022. I contacted the owner on a Sunday, he immediately got back to me and said that his office person would call and schedule someone to come out. As he expected, they called me on Monday morning and scheduled a time. The owner and one of his techs came out to inspect. Everyone was unsure what caused the dry wall to come down but Basic Air got in touch with their drywall person and they are having it fixed right away. Their service is by far the best I have experienced when dealing with a vendor. Their products and installation is top notch. Basic air is amazing. I recommend them to anyone. read more

Jalesco, Miguel, and Joe work for a great company. They bend over backwards to meet my schedule and really care about the quality of their work. I don't see many contractors where the owner comes out and inspects the work to make sure it's up to his level of quality. I strongly recommend these people to work on your HVAC. read more

The team was amazing!!! They showed up on time, cleaned up each day, were very professional and were genuinely happy to be doing the job. Muhammad & Luis answered all my questions throughout the day. Vic was true to his word for the quote and even suggested updated ideas instead of just replacing with the same old style. I'm super happy with my slimline condenser. I would highly recommend Basic Air read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars! The team from Basic Air made all of our Air Conditioning dreams come true! We have been thinking about getting air conditioning for YEARS, met with a few contractors and were immediately impressed with the proposal and team from Basic Air! We purchased a large unit, added new duct work, and upgraded some electrical. Their team came in 1 day and installed everything. They were fast, polite and clean! The addition of the new ducts required some light construction, and it made me nervous! They took care of everything and made it look better than before. I can't say enough positive things! One note- after meeting with several contractors, and voicing our concerns about the upstairs of the house being so much hotter than the rest of the house, Vik is the only one who presented us with a solution! He explained everything thoroughly, walked us through each step and set us up remotely! This is our first summer not sweating and wishing we had air! Best purchase ever! read more

We had Basic Air come out to replace our old heater and add a central air conditioner to our system. First thing I need to point out is their approach to our needs, treating the project from the beginning as if it were their home they were working in. We have had other companies come out to work on remodel projects at our home, and Basic Air sets the bar very high for attention to detail, providing an accurate timeline for the project (even showing up early to start), cleanliness throughout the day, cleanup at the end of the workday, and communication with us throughout. His team is polite and works together like a well oiled machine. When at the end of the project Vik told me how many people were on-site, I was blown away because it felt like a lot more! I don't have anything bad to say, or recommendations for improvement to make for Basic Air. Abraham, Hosanna, Vik, and Tanya were helpful, polite, and very responsive to all of our questions. I would highly recommend Basic Air for all heating and AC needs! read more

I have started the deal with this company in the fall.Every aspect and detail has been set up after I have met the owner and he gave me all details regarding the improvements needed to be done for the best efficiency. I have contacted another 2 companies to have the right information and choose the best deal. I made the deal with Basic Air, and I can say it was the best deal I ever made for all improvements for my house. Professional 100%. Quality of work, technical solutions, planning and finishing entire job in the best manner was perfectly done in the scheduled conditions and price. Best investment made for my house. 100% recommendation! read more

This was the best experience with a business I've ever had. Vic and his crew went above and beyond to provide the best service you could ask for. On the installation days, they were early and worked incredibly hard to give me that sweet sweet cold air. Somehow they were also the best price of the quotes I took. Cannot recommend enough. read more

I could not recommend this company more! They are courteous and professional and they do great work. Our condensation pipe backed up while we were out of town this summer. We came home to water leaking into our master bath ceiling. I texted Vik late at night upon discovering the leak. They were at our house the next day and fixed everything perfectly. Awesome service!!! read more

Basic Air was able to install our central AC/heating unit in 1 day. It was the one project this year that didn't have major issues. Vic worked with the city of Newport Beach when they had permitting questions and kept in communication with me the entire time. He and his team were professional and considerate. Everyone wore liners over their shoes and masks while they worked in our home. I highly recommend Basic Air for your AC or heating needs. Living over 5 years in our home with no ac or heat, now we feel so spoiled at night when we hear the heater click on. read more

I can't say enough about our positive experience with Basic Air. We were moving into a new house with no AC, an old heater, and asbestos duct work. We had a tight timeline to get all of this work done between a trip out of town and moving in, and we also had to wait on HOA approval for the new AC unit. Abraham came out to meet us late in the evening after we were off of work to do the estimate, and he was so friendly in explaining everything. Abraham and Hozanna were so helpful through the whole process, going above and beyond every step of the way. In addition to the detailed estimate, they put together extra documentation about the AC unit and a diagram to help us get HOA approval. Hozanna was patient with all my questions as we figured out the logistics. She coordinated with the asbestos abatement company and even got me in touch with a drywall contractor to fix the damage from the installation. The work was completed earlier than expected, and the house was left completely clean. Hozanna kept me posted as the work was going on. At the end of the installation, Vic called me and explained how the new thermostat works. This is a great company to work with! read more

Brandon was fantastic! I was hesitant to have anyone look at my AC unit due to a bad experience with another company but glad I had them come out today. Great service, on the spot repair and very helpful suggestions on upkeep. I would recommend them to everyone! (I actual got a recommendation from a co worker who spoke very highly of them as well!) Keep up the great work!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Basic Air. Our HVAC died of old age and we were referred by good friends to Abraham and his team. They removed our old asbestos ducting, replaced it and installed a new HVAC system that we love. His crew was incredibly respectful of our home, spotlessly clean and answered all of our questions. They arrived on time, the price was exactly as quoted and the workmanship absolutely top notch. We all hope to find people to work with that are honest, clear, skilled and fair. And with HVAC you truly can't do better than Basic Air. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know and give them my highest endorsement! read more

Basic Air did a brand new AC installation for us. They were very upfront, honest, and clear about all of our options and the costs associated with each. They were also responsive and prompt throughout the process. The men who came to do the work were all nice/polite. And, as promised, the AC is very quiet and very effective. Despite the fact that we decided not to move forward with Basic Air, we wanted to leave a positive review. The company responded promptly, came on the day of the appointment on time, did a thorough wall-thru of our property and provided us with a very detailed written estimate. According to Yelp's rating scale, three stars means 'A-ok' and I definitely don't feel A-ok about the service I received from Basic Air. Two stars denotes 'Meh - I've experienced better.' That's definitely where I'm at - but for anyone who hasn't just left a Yelp review and knows what the scale denotes, two stars just seems too harsh. I have no doubt that the crew at Basic Air are great people and do amazing work - their reviews speak to that. However - I had Basic Air come out to evaluate my AC which had stopped working late last fall. I had put off having it replaced/repaired until recently because of a renovation we had been busy with last year. When they came out, I described the noise my AC compressor was making (buzzzz-click-shutoff), they waved it off, had no desire to hear it, and told me the unit was gone and needed to be replaced. I accepted this, and received a formal quote for $8k to replace the entire system. A few days later, I had another vendor come over to evaluate - and as soon as I described the noise the AC made - his head snapped around and said 'We can fix that'. In 10 minutes my AC was purring like a kitten and cost me less than $200. Was Basic Air dishonest in their evaluation, or was it an honest mistake? I don't know. I do know that another experienced HVAC company knew exactly what the issue was, and Basic Air did not (or was not willing to share it). That difference saved me a lot of money. read more

I have nothing but the highest praise for everyone at basic air! Vik and Abraham were kind, honest, trustworthy, proactive. They gave me nothing but solid, sage advice. Miguel, Mohammad and the rest of the crew were hardworking, professional, efficient, safe and thoughtful about every move they made. I am so pleased with my new HVAC system and so glad I had Basic Air do the job. Before I had Basic Air replace my old, on its last leg HVAC unit, they worked so hard to get the most out of it without breaking my wallet and still doing the right thing. It was time to replace everything though and the basic air crew blew me away! Now we have cozy warm heat, cool refreshing air, a QUIET unit, and better utilization of energy. Everyone is so great to work with and makes this big home project a lot easier to tackle. You won't be sorry you called basic air! read more

Had an outlet pipe on my hvac unit detach over the holiday. I did what I always do and checked Yelp reviews for highly rated help. Basic rose to the top and they didn't disappoint. Brandon showed up on time, assessed the problem and fixed it quickly. I'm back in business, thank you! read more

We have used Basic Air on our past 2 homes now and couldn't be happier! Vic and his team are always nice and professional. We have appreciated their expertise and knowledge in guiding us through what systems would work best in each house, and they're always available if we have questions or need help! I love that we are working with a local, family owned business that cares about its customers. This last job was supposed to be a 2 day instal, but during summer with 2 young kids... they were able to show up early, stay late and knocked everything out in a day! Best part is they cleaned up and we weren't left with a disaster area like some contractors do. Now we can enjoy the summer with some relief from the heat! Thanks so much guys for all your hard work! read more

I am so happy with the service we received! Our air conditioner broke and the company recommended that we relocate our air-conditioning unit from the garage to the attic. They not only fixed our AC but with the unit in the attic our house is SO much cooler. Upstairs used to be 5-10 degrees warmer in the summer than downstairs even with the AC running, but now our upstairs is the same temperature (or even cooler) than downstairs! The employees were all very polite and were able to stay late and get the unit installed in one day. I highly recommend Basic Air! read more

Came home late yesterday afternoon to my home a/c not working and the wifi thermostat screen blank. I tried troubleshooting myself but could not get things working. I contacted Basic Air around 7p expecting to leave a message and get a repair person out the next day, however the owner answered the phone and provided help. Although my call took him away from other things, he spent a good 30-min walking through the problem with me and helping me solve it on my own. The main unit must've had a small clog disallowing water to drain, and the emergency sensor shut the unit down due to water build up...as I learned it's supposed to do. Well, after a bit of coaching, a few tools and utilizing my shop-vac, I was able to clear the drain line and get things running again. The fix was rather simple and likely saved myself a few hundred dollars service expense. Thank you Basic Air for your exceptional level of customer service - They installed our complete a/c about 8yrs ago and came through nicely in this situation at an inconvenient time of the day. You guys are awesome!!! read more
