They were pretty decent. I got the fish tacos, chicken soup, and churros via ubereats. The tacos read dry which I'm sure the distance to get here didn't help. The batter was kinda cold, but it was very thick and chewy and the cabbage slaw was good and spicy. I think pico or additional toppings would've helped it out. The churros were cold and dry as well. This place is probably best in person. Being that I'm home- bound, I probably won't order again. Inspired and exciting menu though. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to bartaco! I'm a little on the fence about relying so heavily on the technology of our phones to order and such - on the one hand, the fact that I could send the order through whenever I wanted was so awesome; there was no pressure, and it was at my pace. This was the first experience I've had like this and I really liked it. On the other hand, my friend with me had so many issues with her phone - and she's got a newer iPhone and isn't a dummy, it was just legitimately a technological issue, and it was stressful. Ended up not being a biggie in the scheme of things, but it did put me on the fence about that setup. The restaurant itself felt super cozy and had a nice vibe. The sangria was AWESOME, I kept wanting to order another The guac and salsa was fantastic, and I liked my tacos a lot. I expected the chicken to be my favorite, but the brussel sprout taco came in clutch! Pricing was great, staff was welcoming, and less than five minutes after you place an order it's out to you. Just a really great experience! read more

Fun. Young and cool. Good food and vibes. Restaurant was a little less clean than I prefer, hence no five star. Just be better about wiping down tables and bars and bam, five stars. I'll come back again for another try. read more

Great place for cheap but tasty food. Service was not amazing. The restaurant itself is very cozy and all the wait staff was friendly. We needed to ask for things (water, refills, ordering) and the food did not all come out at the same time, but besides that there were no problems. Appetizers: Guac + roja + verde I thought the guac was very good and the other two sauces were tasty but not exceptional. The chips were fantastic, but we had to ask for more to finish the sauces. Tacos: Chicken Chorizo My favorite of the tacos I got. The flavor of the chicken and the sauce worked really well together. Mojo Pork Carnitas The pork was good but left a slightly greasy after feel. Mushroom Great option for vegetarian people. The mushrooms were nicely seasoned and cooked. Carne Asada Of the 4 tacos this one was my least favorite. Nothing really popped out. Dessert: Churros The flavor was sweet and eggy and they had a nice crunchy exterior with a fluffy interior. The chocolate dipping sauce was dark but complimented the sugary churros well. I would give it 5 stars but I'm picky about having to repeatedly ask for things such as water, and I only liked 3/4 tacos. If you are a big sauce person, ask for extra sauce on the side because they don't give a lot. read more

Felt like they are taking covid seriously and their protocols made us feel safe. For dinner, I ordered their chicken verde, carnitas and steak tacos, added cheese. The tacos are small but full of flavor! These taste great paired with Tecate. Very please with the staff, safety and overall staff. read more

Came here tonight with a friend. There were plenty of tables. We seated ourselves at one of the outside tables. The energy was great. There's a menu barcode you scan and pull up the menu online from phone. Ordering is very easy from phone - you select the dishes & drinks you want to order, pay (on phone), and server brings the food about 10-15 minutes later. I've tried the guacamole and chips, Baja fish taco, sesame ribeye taco, shrimp taco, and nojito (virgin mojito). Everything was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. Will recommend. read more

YAY for date night, yummy food & delicious cocktails! Went to bartaco for the first time Thursday night & was instantly happy. My date & I sat at the bar (it was 10 PM-ish) & still a lively scene in the restaurant. He's a regular there, so he already knew what he wanted. Lots of choices for alcoholic beverages & food! I went with the mojito. (GREAT choice!) I ordered rock shrimp tacos & a spicy cucumber salad. I love the ordering process (for food). Individual order, where you just write the quantity beside the food items you want. Easy! We didn't wait too long for our food to arrive & I loved the presentation. Metal trays, with thin, brown paper lining. The tacos were AMAZING. Love the grilled, corn tortilla & the shrimp were a good size. The spicy cucumber salad was spicy, but oh so delicious. The cilantro really kicked it up a notch! Very cozy space. Reasonable prices. I definitely want to return! read more

this was a great place to come to! we sat outside when it was freezing out, but we had our dog with us, and our server went out of his way to start a fire in the fireplace for us. the food was great, you order on your phone and it comes so quickly. the portions are small so you can try a lot of different things. i didn't like the corn, but my friends did! you must try the pork belly though, it's so good. read more

Great tacos. The pork belly taco is amazing. I would return just for that. The shrimp taco is a little spicy, so order with caution. The oyster taco was also surprisingly good. Do NOT order the kimchi. Get kimchi at the Asian Market or at an Asian restaurant read more

I got the fish tacos and to me the fish was fried too hard but the sauce and everything else on the rack was ok. My fiancé got the chicken bowl which he enjoyed. The vegetable bowl had a great flavor and he enjoyed the verde sauce. The winner of the show was the churros and the vanilla gelato together they were a perfect combination of hot and cold. There is only street parking and we were lucky enough to find parking across the street. The restaurant is very open so to me it doesn't really matter if you eat inside or outside. To order food you can just order from your phone using a QR code. read more

First time here! I loved everything about this place. The food was great. Had flavor and some of the tacos had a nice little kick to them. The atmosphere was chill, when I was there it was mainly young adults. Music was great. They have a vast variety of bar and non alcoholic drinks. Wish I had a place like this at home. Maybe it was an off night or we were in too late in the evening, but the experience wasn't great. We were standing around for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, the menu system was clumsy, and the food fell flat. Ordering and paying is done entirely through the phone, and we didn't really have a singular waiter assigned to us. The site also seemed to be bugged, as it deleted my input tip off the final receipt without giving an option to go back and change it. If this is a regular issue, it seems unfair to their staff who likely rely on tips to supplement wages. read more

I love this place! This is my first time here at this location but I've been to the buckhead one before as well. Both places are packed on the weekends! We had to wait at least 40 mins just to get seated and it was at 10pm on a Friday. The first time I went to Bartaco I was a little skeptical I'd like it. I'm usually pretty particular about the way my tacos are made but everything here is soooo good. My favorite taco is the pork belly one hands down. I also loved their corn on the cob, but I usually tell them to take it off the cob so it's less messy. Tuna tatake is really good too. And if you like mojitos, theirs is theeee best I've had! I usually like to add a flavor to it, but this one didn't need it. I definitely recommend this place if you haven't been!! You won't regret it, I promise! :) read more

Get the pork belly tacos. Mix the key lime pie dessert cuz it tasted like soap or coconut gelato. Also nix the black beans cuz they lacked flavor or depth. I don't like the self serve format and I felt there were just too many people sitting at the bar for good service sake or co vid 19 times. But I guess people just wanted someone to wait on them. The outdoor space is well decorated. It's like it's own oasis. But those pork belly tacos are everything. Also, get the Mexican corn. It's all that and a bag of chips. Service from the kitchen was super fast. I really enjoyed that. It was so busy super busy the night I went that I didn't think I would eat quickly. But all my 5 course came out super fast. Very friendly black hostess. She definitely made me feel warm and welcome. Can't wait to return. Hopefully, the tamales will end back up on the menu. read more

Affordable prices for great tacos! Speedy service all through their app. Definitely a go to for a chill night with drinks and tacos!

Bartaco is a cute, beach restaurant that serves really good street tacos and some of the best margaritas. Let me emphasize...the margaritas are great and made with freshly squeezed lime juice and what ever fruit they have for the day. I come here pretty often and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of my favorite tacos are the pork belly (slightly sweet touch), Baja fish, and the portobello. You have to order the guacamole as an appetizer because it's fresh and seasoned perfectly. I have also tried the roasted chicken and the chicken soup. Both are bigger portions if you looking for more food. They validate parking in the Inman Quarter parking garage or you can always grind street parking. They are a cashless restaurant. read more

Got a small guac that came with a whole piece of tortilla chip. It was something new -- various tacos like beef, pork belly, salmon, chicken, and shrimp. I like the beef asada the most. I got a sour beer in a can ( $7), and my gf got a cocktail. I said, skip the beer since the cocktail takes more effort to make. We forgot to bring our parking ticket to get it validated. Parking is $6.50 no matter how long you park with each additional hour $1/hr added on top. I like the experiment, and this is the cleanest and most westernized sushi restaurant I have been to. Authenticity is questionable just like taq de sol (another one of my favorite) but if you want real taco to check out El Ray on Buford. read more

I also love the salsa assortments they have ready on the table. The server we had was very attentive and accommodating, and the manager stopped by the table to check in which I always appreciate! read more

Absolutely ridiculous ordering system. If you want more than a quick lunch, perhaps a temp job serving as your own waiter and spending 20 minutes downloading a phone app and inputting your credit card information only to end up in a confusing loop, go here! Obviously, owners have opted for tech over people to line their pockets. Food was also gross (greasy fish tacos). "Waitstaff" see their roles as just food runners and tech support. Too many great choices all around Inman Park to settle for this, go anywhere else. read more

I don't often leave reviews - but BarTaco blew us out of the water. My partner had never been to BarTaco beforehand, and mentioned this to Ashley, who had asked when she sat us. The food is incredibly fresh, management is A+, and service impeccable. Truly the best place for tacos in ATL! read more

This spot is AMAZING! They have an array of tacos and sides. They make their own tequila so the drinks are very good. When you arrive, ask for HAM, he is an attentive server who is funny, witty and so knowledgable. Get the brussel sprout tacos, it's like something you've never tasted before-I promise you. I previously left a negative review for poor delivery portions. I decided to give this place a shot in person, as I basically don't get delivery at all anymore. The menu looks a bit different, so they seem to have made quite a few changes, and overall it was night and day different. Very very good tacos, good appetizers, nice pricing on everything involved, and great drinks at the bar. The bartender (Amani, Imani, not sure the spelling?) was super friendly and very attentive. Would strongly recommend this place for ITP tacos, and for a good lower price point stop in Inman Park in general. read more

We come here entirely too often ! The menu is so fun . You check off the boxes with a small pencil on the table and everyone hands them to the server . The margaritas are strong and good ! The cucumber salad and plantains are also great if you are not in the mood for tacos which I've never met anyone who doesn't want a taco lol . Also if you want the corn (you want the corn.... trust me) you can write on the menu that you want it off the cob if you don't want to bite into it . I've tried all the tacos and all of them are great . So try one of each until you find your favorite . Also they come on corn tortillas but you can get flour by request only . And they don't use plastic straws . Not sure if they have paper straws . But I believe so . read more

It is easy to witness why this restaurant has high ratings . This service is top tier. There must have been 3 different people asked "how is everything" during my dining . Everyone was pleasant. Five stars for this place. I enjoyed everything about my experience here. The ambiance is nice especially the outdoor patio. The margaritas were right on point. The peach is officially my favorite. I decided to go in and try every taco that was either vegetarian or had cooked seafood. I was informed by the server that there is a secret oyster taco. I wasn't brave enough fo try it but judging by the tacos I ate it was probably good. My recommendation for anyone who only is vegetarian or pescatarian would be the miso cod, Brussel sprout taco, and crispy shrimp taco. I ordered these multiple times in one sitting and wasn't disappointed. read more

I have not been to Bartaco in several years, but apparently they have a new QR code system where you order for yourselves, you have to acknowledge if there's anyone else in your party, type in your credit card information yourself. This was an absolutely horrible experience. The last thing I want to do in a restaurant is look at my phone the entire time that I'm there. The food was also less than stellar, I had the lobster salad lettuce wrap, which was ok but forgettable, and a grilled shrimp taco that was about the size of my thumb. Thankfully, I wasn't very hungry. I ordered the chips and salsa, the chips are one big tortilla That tasted stale like something that would come in an old El Paso taco kit from the 90s and the salsa was overwhelmingly vinegary. This is one of the worst experiences I've had in quite some time. I could not believe that the restaurant was actually mostly full. It's in my neighborhood so I'm really disappointed. I would not return for food, and I certainly would not be back for the lack of experience. read more

Waited for a table, but met Dan and sat at the Bar! Starting with the freshly made guacamole and freshly made chips... should have ordered a large! Daniel James aka Dan aka DJ aka the best bartender in the ATL hooked us up! This man knows the menu and can explain every item in delicious detail and personalize your experience. We enjoyed, with Dan's encouragement, the rib eye taco (a lil spicy), the falafel taco ( with a certain spicy kick of coolness) and the shrimp ban mi... damn good! We also ordered the grilled corn sliced off of the cobb (Yeow with a lil cheese) and sliced cucumber drizzled in olive oil and red pepper flakes salad. Stop it!!! I could have eaten more but I was full of flavor and healthy eating! Ooooooo, can't forget the lovely Caparhina (probably spelled incorrectly ) and the Margaritas!!! I've lived in Midtown Atlanta for 14 years and have experienced all types of service the industry in Atlanta has to offer. I first came to Bartaco back in 2012 and didn't have the best experience due to the slow service which I took into account as they were new into the area. I wanted to give it another chance seeing how I've recently moved into the neighborhood, and brought my family here. This experience was absolutely horrible. After being ignored at the bar for 15 minutes, our table was ready and I was hopeful. Also note, this restaurant is self service ONLY. You'll get the occasional passing waiter who brings your food or drinks (within the hour). The whole ordering through the QR code thing was a good idea during the pandemic, but that was 3 years ago. Get the SERVICE INDUSTRY BACK. During our 3 hour dinner, we had to check on our order with the Take Out station multiple times who was VERY helpful! Which when the food did finally come, everything was cold. The management was also nice and attentive, however it seems they're understaffed and the bar staff needs to be retrained on service. All in all, I would maybe come here for drinks with friends as it does have a good atmosphere in the standing area but I would not recommend coming here for sit down food/service. read more

I ordered an appetizer and 3 tacos. We were stopping by to grab a drink and a snack to continue our Friday. We entered the restaurant and it was a small lunch crowd. Upon dinning I noticed the manager went to tables to ask about their dining experience. We were never asked how was the service nor if we needed anything. I ordered two Ribeye Pork tacos and a Baja. The food took 20 minutes to come out. The Baja taco was soggy and fell apart the moment I attempted to eat. My partner and I was dressed down and in casual wear and noticed we received treatment differently than if properly dressed. We asked for more tortillas for our salsa and the server went to go do dishes versus what we asked for. There were two managers sitting behind us chattering while we had the "dragonfly" stationed for help. After 10 minutes It took 2 servers to get what we asked for. We ended up checking out and leaving based on the service. This is one of my fav restaurants it I cannot believe the service we received. read more

Food was SOOOO good. We pretty much tried every taco and the oyster & the duck are the best!! The large chips as the appetizer was also cool & they came with some bomb salsa and guacamole. The pineapple drink and margarita were also 10/10! Oh & to make it even better the churros are AMAZING! Great service and experience. Will be back! read more

yes it's nice to pay on app. No it's not nice to make your guest search for you to ask for needed items like Togo box before checking out or after. the service industry is getting more and more obvious that it's used for humans to be talented at choosing when they want to be mean. For what ever reason they never came back out to check to see if we needed anything at all after our order was brought to us we never got checked on after that. As we watched servers go to tables inside but never once to us out side after we received our order. A clear sign of intent for humiliation and a show for all of those that they did check on. way to go bar taco. I want all of my money back. pretty soon evil will have its turn at loosing. read more

The best I can say is that this place has a nice vibe. I ordered a margarita, it was ok. I've had better. I ordered a portabello mushroom taco. It tasted good, but was really tiny. The place was busy so it was hard to get the bartender's attention. I had to ask for a straw and napkins. I didn't like how the staff handled opened paper straws by touching them with bare hands..even near the opening where you drink from..yuck! Seems this place is overrated and filled with lots of young ppl who frequent here. It got really crowded the later it got with ppl standing around the bar waiting for a seat. This was a Thursday night so I can only imagine the crowd on weekends. Probably won't be back. read more
