And let me tell you, he earns every single one of those 5 stars in every single 5 star review, including this 5 star review. Rafael is professional, meticulous, friendly, respectful, and really does go above and beyond. It's great when you find someone that is a masterclass of their craft. It's good when you find someone that is competitively priced. It's nice when you find someone that genuinely CARES about their clientele and want their clientele to be 110% satisfied. It's AMAZING when you find a combination of all three. Seriously, you need tile work? Please, don't look anymore. You won't get better than Rafael. Book him. I called to get an estimate for an urgent and unexpected repair I needed to prep my kitchen counter for painting (vintage blender was built into the counter, an electrician removed it and my tile paint guy {to his credit} said he was not qualified to fix it before he painted). I was in a jam. Mat, at Brooks Tile, emailed me almost immediately and told me he could not help me last-minute BUT he could refer a member of his crew to come over after hours and we'd deal directly with him. I got a call from his crew member very soon after, he came by to assess the job, and was able to fix it beautifully the next day. Mat even threw in the 4 x 4 tiles (about 11 of them) free to help me and his employee. Who does that nowadays? I give that commitment to assisting someone in need a 5-star rating. In 2018 I plan to tile my kitchen floor and Brooks Tile will be the first that I will contact for an estimate.

Nick is our go to person for all tile projects and we won't use anyone else. he is professional, gives you an accurate estimate ahead of time, includes you to make all decisions that need to be made and he gives you all the knowledge that you need to make those decisions and he gives you a competitive price. He explained to us how to choose the best tile and what might happen if we don't. We just finished phase 1 of our project, tiling our family room, master bedroom and bath, and living room. Nick would always arrive when he said he was coming, was respectful of our home, discussed any decisions that had to be made explaining our options and any downsides, and best of all did a fantastic job installing our tile. The craftsmanship cannot be beat. I would trust Nick to install any tile that you have anywhere in your home. You will not be disappointed. We begin phase 2 next week and then we loved it so much we have ordered more tile for a phase 3 after that.

Would definitely recommend them for any grout or caulking work and would definitely use them again when repairs are needed.

Carlos came to our house, on a holiday no less, and talked about what we wanted to do and provided a quote later. He was thorough, providing suggestions about how to approach a problem: framing out our decidedly builder-grade windows to tie in with the board-and-batten we wanted. And then there was the huge, floor-to-ceiling built-in-bookshelves project we wanted him to tackle with stain-grade wood. Through the whole process, from concept to completion, Carlos checked with us about what we wanted. He made changes when needed and was respectful about our wishes. Everything he did mattered to him. All his choices were thoughtful: with materials, trimming out the board and batten and windows and building the bookshelves. With the cabinet bottoms for four of the bookcases, he chose something with a nice wood grain and matched the doors up. It looks so good and now we need to respect the wood with a stain that will allow the beauty to come through. The result is something out of my dreams. Solid, classy bookshelves with some cabinets and even a couple cabinets with plexiglass doors. As Carlos said, we could drive a truck on these bookshelves now. No disrespect to the IKEA hackers, but I wanted something solid that would last a lifetime, out of real wood. Carlos custom-made the bookshelves -- no prefab cabinets. He was great with communication, both in person and by text when he was on his way for the day. He was always on time or even early. He has a great sense of humor and found us funny too, which is nice to have when you have someone working in your house for a while. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. River City Carpentry provided good quality service and a great value. Now I'm looking forward to the next step of getting our shelves stained and our board and batten and the rest of the room painted.

They arrived on time every day and even worked through the weekend to make up for some lost work time due to rain. Despite having to dig up big chunks of our yard and temporarily move plants, they put everything back together perfectly. They showed up on time and completed two bathroom remodels AND an office (wall + French doors) in two months! Is that record or what? Don't worry no skimp on details. Even with issues with materials (mostly vanities) being so difficult, needing extra time to adjust plumbing, wait on slow shipping, or issues with products and needing to order again (doors), all still completed in time. We finish just under budget estimated and I still got pretty high end products. Look at all the tile!!! My favorite part is my office is no longer part of main house and has double doors. Extremely happy with these projects! Oh and also his team is small, some construction companies come in with 10+ people at first visit no thank you, I had total of 8 people in my house, and not all at once.

I emailed him the approved plans, permit, and engineering (I already had completed) the day he came out and was told it would be about a week before he could get me a quote. After 2 weeks not hearing from him, I emailed him for an update and didn't hear back from him for nearly another 2 weeks. So, after about a MONTH I finally received an estimate that was about 5x my other quotes from highly recommended, licensed and insured contractors. My suggestion is to not bother providing "free estimates" if you do not have the bandwidth to follow through.

He was pleasant and easy to get along with, conscientious and customer focused, and very helpful and encouraging. He was a good communicator and followed through on all of his commitments. John was responsive and was able to come same day I reached out for quote and measurements. I had a tight budget and timeframe and John was able to meet both. He was able to get installed in a few days. I was impressed by John's knowledge of all the other flooring companies and was confident that they could not beat his price. It was true after receiving multiple quotes. Alfredo and his crew were efficient and did great work. The one thing I noticed is they used an automatic stretcher which gives a tighter install than others who use the knee kick method. The install was tight and clean. If you're ready to pull the trigger and get quality carpet/flooring installed, I highly recommend John and United Flooring. He makes things happen and very responsive and really appreciated that he was able to get my carpet installed for my wife's bday.

I am happy to be able to be the first to review Chuck Villa Tile. Chuck Villa has more than 30 years experience installing tile. Although he was involved in a big project when I first met him, I knew right away that he was the person I was looking for. This after sifting through a number of candidates online and meeting with two of them prior to Chuck. Chuck ended up spending the entire Memorial Day weekend installing my wife and my porcelain tile backsplash and floor tiles. Although it was a relatively small area, my wife and I had some specific requests that made the job a little more time consuming. In line with Murphy's Law, we also ended up having our water main replaced the same day that Chuck started our job necessitating him to bring a bunch of 5-gallon buckets to fill up with water for his tile saw. Chuck took all of this in stride and did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. And he is a very nice person also. As with other independent contractors having to juggle phone calls and estimates along with their jobs, I suspect that different people will have different experiences in regard to Chuck's response time to their calls and/or his availability to their tile job. If your priority is quality work at a reasonable price done by an experience contractor who you will feel comfortable having in your home, I don't think you will find a better person than Chuck Villa.

(very rare quality for contractors these days). Keeps a clean job site too. Has a crew of two other tradesmen (Chris and Robert) who are also very nice people. He worked with me on doing my own handywork in the bathroom and offered advice and help along the way. He does not rush the job, and will go above and beyond to make sure you love the work.
