To whom it may concern, I recently went to the point pleasant location this morning and honestly had one of the worst experiences I have at any of your locations. Some of the front staff at the Point Pleasant location are extremely rude and shout and give nasty remarks towards customers (there are multiple other reviews confirming this). This is not a "friendly" environment when you are rudely told that your order is on Seamless by GrubHub, when I thought I ordered it on google. Furthermore, I couldn't even eat my bagel because your staff incorrectly read the receipt and put ketchup on my bagel (which i cannot have - causes me to rash up). The label for the SEC clearly noted NOTHING about ketchup, the only item wanting ketchup was the top bagel a BEC. I had to complain to GrubHub and request assurance since it wasn't possible to get anybody on the phone. I look forward to hearing from someone regarding this experience. read more

So happy to be in New Jersey where small bakeries and kettle boiled bagels exist. The bagels and sandwiches at Barons are amazing. With a line out the door, my expectations were set high and they were met! A super friendly staff works their ass off to move the line quickly. I order 3 breakfast sandwiches. Turkey egg and cheese on a toasted cinnamon radon bagel, a pork roll egg and cheese, and a chorizo egg and cheese on a toasted jalapeno bagel. All three were delicious! There is nowhere to eat at the restaurant so plan on taking your order to go. They are a cash only establishment, which is the only negative I found. However, their bagels are worth a trip to the ATM. Next time, i will call in my order for faster service. read more

I will never order from Barons again. Ordered breakfast sandwich and side of bacon delivered. Received the sandwich but no bacon I called barons to ask them to fix it and they wanted me to drive in and get the bacon after I just paid for delivery. I was then told they can't do anything and call door dash. Door dash didn't forget my order Barons did. Very unprofessional. I feel bad for the person who answered the phone she was trying to help but the older woman could have cared less.. $6 a side of bacon and they also charge to toast a bagel.This is not a family orientated place at all, all they care about is your money... #boycottbarons #BB read more

This place has an excellent version of a what a bagel can be. I've stopped in a few times and the bagels are consistently good. The only draw back at this place hence the three stars instead of four is they put way to much cream cheese on the bagels to the point that is clearly an unhealthy amount to eat in any given day no less in one meal. My advise is get the bagels with nothing on them and do it yourself when you get home. read more

If you're looking for a FAT BREAKFAST SANDWICH, here it is. 6 thick slices of Pork roll, gooey cheese and a delicious bagel. Not what you would expect from this tiny bagel spot in a strip mall. Bagels are soft and chewy and very large! We also got some French toast bagels to eat the next day and they were perfectly chewy, not overly sweet. Good pricing too for the amount of food. Reading other reviews, an easy fix Christi is to 1 - don't eat the whole bagel if it's "too big" 2-wipe off some cream cheese. Folks like myself appreciate the size and cream cheese rationing. I ordered a sandwich and another bagel for later with cream cheese. While waiting I convinced myself to get 3 more bagels to eat throughout the week. I was staying with my in-laws over Thanksgiving and wanted to do something nice and surprise them with what I heard are the best bagels around. I quietly sneaked out of the house and drove about 20 minutes to Baron's. I happily ordered a dozen bagels from the very nice staff and moved over to the register to pay. This is when I remembered that my wallet was sitting on my laptop back at the house. (Damn Black Friday sales!) The owner John heard my horrified gasp as I was digging through my purse and correctly guessed what I had done. I sheepishly apologized and was about to walk away with my proverbial tail between my legs when he said, "No big deal" as he handed me the bag and continued with "We're open until 2 today but don't kill yourself trying to get back. We're open until 2 tomorrow too." Huh? Had I entered a portal to an alternate universe where people are kind, understanding, and generous? (This universe must not have the internet.) John insisted that it wasn't a big deal and wished me a nice day as I took the bag and walked away stunned. I was still shocked when I walked through the door and told everyone what happened. (Mother-in-law's response: "See, this is why you should move to NJ." Nice try.) The questioned remained are the bagels going to be as good as I heard? I'm very happy to report that they're even better. First of all, they're huge. A bag of one dozen could easily double as gym equipment. Despite how dense they feel, they're somehow also light and fluffy. This is some baking wizardry that I'll never understand. I got plain, sesame, and cinnamon raisin and they were all a huge hit. I returned later in the day to actually pay for the bagels and when I walked in John said, "I told you that you didn't need to come back today." There aren't slot of quality bagel shops "down the shore". I found this gem and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't a chain bagel place and they actually hand roll their products. I rarely write a review but when I do I'm as happy as the Dos Equis man in the commercials....I usually Am still have in the bag rolling around going ahhhhhhh I'm so hungry but I don't want to move ..... so one day I'm thrashing in bed going over the nights bad decisions NO REGRATS and I decide on this Sunday maybe I will enjoy a bacon egg and cheese sandwich to forget about all the alcohol I had consumed .... The bagel was fresh, warm, large. Packed with egg, and meat, just enough cheese. They have a large selection of bagels, regular and specialty. They had some baked goods, good amount of "salads," interesting sandwich selections, including steak, egg and cheese (wish I saw it before I ordered), pepper jack cheeses. Deli meats, and served with a smile. Prices were right, parking is ok. This shop replaced a previous, very yummy bagel shop.... It had some shoes to fill... and they busted out of them! After a early morning round trip drive to Philadelphia I was in need of a breakfast staple. I was about to go to Manhattan bagel off of 70 but decided to try Baron's. 3.47$ for a toasted bagel w cream cheese. Found it weird they charged extra money (50 cents) to toast the bagel... regardless the owners were friendly and welcoming. Upon inspection after arriving home, I opened up the wrapping and was pleasantly surprised to see a huge bagel with a ton of cream cheese. I love cream cheese and the fact that they put a generous amount while almost every other place skimps out made me very grateful. Biting into the bagel itself instantly made me realize why Baron's is slightly pricier than a normal bagel w cream cheese. Warm, nice exterior shell combined with a soft inside, this bagel was extremely tasty ( I could of eaten it plain). You could tell right away everything they do is done with fresh ingredients and love. Also as I previously mentioned their bagels are huge. Prob double the size of a bagel from Manhattan bagel! This is definitely the best bagel By far that I had by the shore. I will definitely be coming back. You get what you pay for..in Baron's case a little extra too, worth every penny. This place is awesome, and there bagels is the best. I usually get a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel (egg scrambled) and it usually comes out outstanding. Sometimes the egg is a little overdone, but besides that it is absolutely delicious. I also just get a bagel with butter on it sometimes instead of a whole breakfast sandwich and that is also very good. This place is known for their hand crafted delicious bagels. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for breakfast, I have never had lunch from here but I am sure it is very good. P.S.- The service is very nice and friendly too read more
