I used to love this place, food is great portions big.. then I found out they charge $.50 PER BAGEL to have it toasted. The owner told me this with a straight face, even said " It was like that when I bought the place". So basically you are telling me you are just as greedy as the previous owner. I was quite clear when I asked if this charge was "per bagel", and the answer was a crystal clear "YES" (with a little attitude from the owner too) So, if you ordered a dozen bagels sliced and toasted for let's say, your kids sleepover party, expect to $6.00 in toasting fees. (forgot to ask about slicing fees- I wonder if he charges for that too..??) BUT WAIT- if that sounds unreasonable.... just drive 5 miles to their Lakewood location. They have no toasting fees! Why not? Well the owner had no answer for that one. It's a shame because the service was good the food was great... but I can't support a local business that is run by someone so greedy that they charge $.50 PER BAGEL!!! for toasting. It's ridiculous. I ordered a bagel tray over the phone for my bridal party at the hair salon next door a few days in advance and the woman I spoke with was patient and very helpful. Best bagels in this area. Real New York style bagel. Wide selection of flavors. If you like a bagel but not all the dough try a flagel. It's a flat bagel where you still get the shell of the bagel but a lot less dough. Flagels are great toasted. At first I thought the lunches were too pricey compared to local prices. However the sandwiches are so big you can share. You also get fruit salad, potato salad, a chocolate covered mint stick and a cookie. Although the cookie isn't great. I would prefer a chocolate chip. Best bagels in Point Pleasant! I usually get a sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagels. The portion size is good enough to satisfy anyone with a hardy appetite. They also have a great variety of bagels and homemade spreads. I've tried the veggie spread and it is quite good. The prices are a bit high but you can't complain about the food or service. Way overpriced!! First off, the food quality is great, but do you really need to put a pound of cream cheese on a bagel? Wouldn't a half pound be enough? Went in and asked for a toasted Egg Everything with regular cream cheese. It says $2.75 on the board. Cashier rang me up at $3.48. I asked why. She said you had it toasted. You charge extra to toast a bagel?? She said, "Yes, 50 cents." You're kidding, right? No, that is what the previous owner did so the new owner just kept it the same. Maybe the new owner should think twice before nickel and diming his customers (in this case, former customer). Sometimes bigger isn't necessarily better. We come here every Sunday for our breakfast and it is always amazing. They are so generous with the portion sizes I can always make a second meal of whatever I get. If you get pork roll they pile it on! Only thing is, if you're like me, you might want to ask for light cream cheese on your bagel. This is my favorite bagel place. They offer a good variety of fresh bagels and spreads, as well as sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) and muffins, etc. I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten. My personal favorite is a pumpernickel bagel with tofu cream cheese. The people are friendly and really hustle when it's busy. There is no where to sit inside to "dine in" and limited parking (though you can park on the street). Unless you ask for a specific amount of cream cheese, they do tend to go a little overboard. read more

My favorite is the raisin bagel. It has the perfect inner and outer texture with loads of raisins.
