This is our favorite local bagel spot! The bagels are the perfect texture, nice and chewy. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches always hit the spot (love that the bacon is crispy). It gets pretty busy during the mornings and on weekends, although the line moves quickly. We normally take our order to go but they have plenty of tables and bar seating inside (plus tables outside for the warmer months). It was just ok. I feel like a bagel connoisseur since j grew up in Jersey City and went to college in Brooklyn. Ordered a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. We only saw 1 piece of scallion. The PEC on a hard roll was good but not the best I ever had per se. the best is at Grossman's deli in Oakhurst. IMO. My daughter had an egg everything toasted with lox spread. Again I think Vagrlmasters in Shrewsbury does it better. But my overall all time favorite bagel place is still hot bagel bakery in Oakhurst. read more

I went with my friends as they opened, we weren't on any sort of disrespectful "behavior" but as we were paying I payed for 2 orders and payed 20 cash and the rest card but my friends card didnt go through. He then went on saying that we were wasting his paper, it was an unnecessary. I did get more serious then but didn't adress him or anything. We payed, left and i felt so uncomfortable from his behavior I called to address him about it because he shouldn't talk to any customer the way he did to us. He didn't answer but I told an employee did and he said he would speak with him, I get a call back from him and he claimed we were having a bad behavior since we went in and we may not realize it now but when we grow up we will. This bagel shop did not disappoint. Ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and a plain bagel with pork roll, egg and cheese. Both were fantastic. My fiancés family lives in Belmar and I can gladly say that this will be our new spot for bagels anytime we visit. They even offer a discount when you pay with cash. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning in August, line was long-ish and waited a little long, but it was WORTH IT. Maybe the portion was on the smaller side, but that was perfect for us and all we needed -- we ordered a bacon (extra crispy) and egg with a hash brown on a toasted poppy seed bagel. The staff was extremely friendly. The ketchup, salt and pepper option just reminds me of home. The place has some outside seating, but inside is all business. Beware of hidden costs. Went there for a flagle with nothing on it. I asked the girl who was assisting me if she could slice the flagle for me, which she happily obliged. When the cashier rang me up, it rang the plaing flagle was $2.50. What? A bagel costs $1.75, what were the extra charges for? I was informed by the rude, obnoxious owner that a flagle is a specialty bagel, ok, but then added that he was also charging me extra because they sliced it for me and also was adding tax on the order because they had touched the flagle. Are you kidding me? I left my order on the counter and went to Joe's Bagels, where the prices and service are better and they don't charge extra for slicing your bagel for you. I have passed this shop several times on my way to Dunkin Donuts, but I decided to stop there today.... BAD IDEA!!! This is my now go to bagel shop in the area. Had to go back multiple days in a row. The Taylor ham egg and cheese is delicious. The Taylor ham is cut on the thicker side, the cheese is melted and the bagels are well seasoned! Some places have the seasoning fall off before you even get to take a bite but not this place. Also, if you're looking for the perfect strawberry cream cheese, look no further. This is your spot. It's smooth and creamy. It doesn't have pieces of strawberry in it if anyone is wondering but with all the flavor, it isn't needed. The only downfall is the price but they're probably around the same price for others in the area. read more

Place is busy and I wasn't sure where the line started. I came on the weekend so maybe its better during the week. The wait was like 20 minutes so get here early. I thought the wait was too long but the pork roll egg and cheese on a bagel more than made up for it. It was one of the better breakfast sandwiches I have had in the area. The pork roll was cut thick and the sandwich was loaded with flavor. My wife got a bagel with scallion cream cheese, capers, onions, lettuce, tomato and it was solid. It's apparent that this business is either incompetent or new to grubhub. Firstly, their menu is not navigable. They ask if you'd like a bagel with your omelette, but they don't have a drop down for what kind. Your selection of whether you'd like a dozen or a single bagel, is in reverse. They charge you for a dozen if you order one, and for one if you order a dozen. This really is the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Their menu is crap. They don't even allow special instructions. And again, their options are non existent. Which is self defeating, because they actually have options. Now, for the worst part. Customer service. I ordered an omelette with a bagel (what kind? Who knows!!! No ability to select) and a cheesesteak. The best part? Order taken at 12pm. Estimated delivery? 12:50. It got to the point where it was 12:50 and that is when they cancelled the order. Place used to be good but as of late has been forgetting items when I order through apps. Additionally, when I went today in person they ran out of the preferred bagel for one sandwich and instead of making it with something else they just were not going to make it at all.
