Bagel talk is our go to whenever we're in town and we hadn't been there for a few years. Their bagels are still the best we've ever had bar none (New York City,New Jersey).They have a wonderful flavor that's lacking in other bagels. They have a wide selection. In particular, we love that the onion bagels have topping on the top and bottom of the bagel. They prepare egg sandwiches to order toasted or not toasted, etc. The variety of coffee choices are terrific and always fresh, which is another strong point. The service is very friendly. There is always a line and for good reason. They have a nice selection of muffins, pastries, and cookies and a huge menu of bagel sandwiches. Honestly, we haven't gotten beyond basic bagels and toppings, so you'll have to refer to other reviews about other items on the menu! Bagels only for me moving forward! I ordered a simple turkey sandwich on a hard roll around noon and not terribly busy like it can be in the morning. Went to UPS next door to come back 10 minutes later for the sandwich. Honestly I'm a little hangry when I discover it's ham and not turkey when I get to my car to eat. It has maybe a 1/2" of ham btw. I go in to change and barely get a sorry. What I do get is a turkey sandwich with about a 1/4 of meat for my $10 sandwich. read more

I really liked everything about this place, except for my sandwich. It just wasn't what I'm looking for when I want a jersey shore bagel. I guess it just wasn't exceptional. First time getting a bagel in NJ and they got my order wrong. I asked them to confirm the order and they stated it correctly and they even called it out correctly but knowingly gave me the wrong one. The Dude with the messed up lip that is in there is a creep. Asked my one friend her age inappropriately as she was ordering a bagel. She said she was 17 and he made a weird perverted comment and proceeded to keep watching her the entire time we were in there eating our breakfast food. And funny enough a woman who I know who also goes in there brought up how much of a creep he is without me even bringing him up. Foods great but that one guy with the messed up lip makes a lot of girls and women very uncomfortable. Hope someone says something to him about his behavior. Large variety of fresh chewy bagels, with reasonably priced toppings and spreads. Bagels are normal size, unlike the super huge, bready ones in Bradley Beach (those are good too but ginormous). the service of the food is not up to par. they never seem to get an order correct. you order over medium eggs but they make them runny. order a roast beef with swiss, roasted peppers, and mayo on a roll and all you get is roast beef only. the most recent issue is I ordered a BLT extra bacon on a roll and when its delivered theres no extra bacon (2 little slices) and the bacon tasted stale, there were a few strands of lettuce and a half a piece of tomato. I called them to give my concerns and they said they would have the manager call me no return call. I go to the store with the food. I show it to the blonde woman (who btw was nasty) but agreed to redo the sandwich. I stood by the counter to make sure the sandwich was made correctly and while standing there I was asked never to return. i told them if they were to get the orders correct I wouldn't have to complain. this place never makes anything correctly. $13.00 for a blt with extra bacon? seriously? I've been coming to bagel talk since 2019 and it's still just as good. My partner enjoys their Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches which has a decent serving of the meat on its own but occasionally she will get extra too! I tend to stick with an egg and cheese sandwich, with a hash brown in it to jazz things up. No matter what I try, it's always great. Ordering via DoorDash can be a little tricky if you need modifications or substitutions but it's a breeze to do in person. The space can get crowded on a weekend morning but it's always worth the wait! read more

went in here to make a big breakfast order for multiple people and it didnt take long despite the huge morning rush and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. The layout of the shop is nice and wide with decent eating area and 2 hd tv's. Lots of beverage choices and a nice coffee area with various flavors and sweeteners. They've also got a huge selection of bagels and toppings you can get. They even had a bacon bagel but it ran out before I could get one. There was a good amount of staff on hand and its locayed in a strip mall so there os plenty of parking. Next time I'm this way I'll certainly go back. read more

I've been here a few times and even though i confirmed with the person on the phone what my order was still messed up. The hard roll was supposed to be toasted and the honey turkey was supposed to be cooked. Even though though the receipt says the right thing it was not done. As a patient at Jersey Shore Univ Med Ctr, I wanted to thank the nurses and techs as they changed shifts in the morning. I ordered 2 dozen bagels and an assortment of cream cheese to be delivered first thing (6:30ish) via grubhub. Once my tech was able to connect with the grubhub driver, we were set. Food was decent but seems like they don't really pay attention to details on online orders. I ordered a lox sandwich and specified everything bagel, got plain. I asked for either jalapeño or scallion cream cheese, got plain. When you're paying $11 for a sandwich and also delivery and tip you expect to get what you ordered. I think you see where I'm going for that. For those who get your orders delivered and the order is wrong, WHY DO YOU LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THAT? I understand accidents happen so once in a while but, this shops track record is akin to them picking up any old bagged order and sending it off like it a shake of "Who Gets What?" When you order delivery and the order is incorrect, you've paid a premium and are not so smart by not contacting the delivery platform for a refund. Went in at 1:50pm. Sign says they close at 3 but they were already closing the place up. I asked if it was ok to still get a sandwich and the nice guy behind the counter said yes. Sat down to eat and another guy starts slopping the mop around the tables. An elderly gentleman waiting for an order was pretty much mopped up and away from where he was sitting while another woman wanting to come in was blocked by the wet floor. The bagels are good here and I'm all for cleaning but an hour before they're actually closing seems a bit extreme. The bagel was very chewy and dense. I got a cinnamon raisin and it was really salty which was not expected.

I ordered a bagel with turkey and avocado and they didn't even bother to cut the avocado. For $11 it's a waste of money.

I give it a star for pleasant cashier. Ordered toasted bagel with tuna. Counter guy was too busy talking to bother. I assumed it was toasted as it took so long, but alas I got a gummy bagel with totally tastless tuna ( how can tuna be tasteless?) the coleslaw was basically a cup if sweet mayonnaise with a slice of cabbage thrown in.
