DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!! Their food and bagels are great. However, my husband and I ordered online 2 bagels with cream cheese and a breakfast sandwich. It said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. We headed to the store and was told it would be an ADDITIONAL HOUR WAIT for our food. More and more people were coming in and being told their online orders were going to be over an hour now also. If the place is busy then turn off online ordering and doordash. This was absolutely insane. It would have been faster to order there in person. They need to work on how to manage these orders coming in. A lot of customers including myself canceled our orders and left, pretty pissed off too. read more

Being from North Jersey, I find that bagels down the shore are never as good. We were visiting friends and they suggested getting bagels from Baron's the next day. We ordered ahead on their website, which is really just DoorDash. It was very easy to do. We ordered the taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel. There are a lot of different bagel choices. When we picked it up I couldn't believe how heavy the bag was. The bagels are thick! It was also loaded with taylor ham. I wish I took a picture of it, but we were just so hungry. I have heard about this place and their vegan options but I had kind of forgotten. I called them and didn't expect them to say they had vegan/ gluten free bagels. They did! I went in and the woman said all the gluten free bagels were vegan as well, except for the plain one (which uses ricotta). I got an everything bagel with scallion vegan cream cheese. I also got a cinnamon raisin bagel with Just Egg, for my mom. The woman at the counter was very nice and informative. It was a nice experience. Remember they are cash only so bring cash but they do have an ATM on site. Also call ahead or order online as they are very busy. Long time customer but deciding to finally leave a review after noticing some changes in the last couple years. Is this place still good? Of course. Is it as good as it was 6-7 years ago? Definitely not. They used to PACK the bagels full of stuff, which you can see in pictures from earlier reviews. In the last couple of years, there's a lot less filling. I thought it was just bad luck the first couple times it happened but it's been consistently less eggs, less cream cheese, etc. The bagels themselves are still absolutely huge and good as ever, which is why I can't possibly knock off another star. Barron's has always been great. I've recently discovered I have celiacs so bagels are a big no for me anymore. However they do have a small gluten free selection of bagels. If you know anything about gluten free breads and bagels, you know that all gluten free bagels are small, so don't expect the same size as the house made bagels. That being said, bagel was very good and toasting is a must. They still stack this sandwich high with pork roll, eggs and cheese. I don't believe there's a sign for gluten free bagels up anymore so I hope this review helps others find this bagel mainstay. Three words: TOFU CREAM CHEESE. This is the ONLY bagel joint in my area that I have found to have vegan cream cheese and it is absolutely DELICIOUS. My typical order is a Super Wheat Everything with Veggie Tofu Cream Cheese, but according to all of my coworkers, they have never been less than delighted with any of their orders either!
