We use Barnsely's Tire Co for our Boulder fleet of 25 vehicles and I can't say enough about how great they are. I'll try though: - A big part of any relationship with a mechanic is trust. Barnsely's has earned our trust over and over again. I absolutely trust their tire and service recommendations. I know for a fact that they save us money over other shops. - They are fast. I bring in several cars a month and their turn around time is always fast (~30 min from when I drop it off on average.) - They are very pleasant to interact with. Mark, Brian, Sam, and Christine are always helpful, friendly, and courteous. - They don't lay off staff in the slow seasons like some other shops. I appreciate that. - Their shop feels like a tire shop not a fancy waiting room. (Read: not spending lots of money on overhead = savings passed on to the customer.) - They personally guarantee their tires and work (for 12 months I believe). - Their pickles. Erica C, My wife could have written your review -- she had the exact same experience! Have you had time to read a few more 1-star reviews (for example, "Knute")? You'll see a theme: Many of the employees (especially, but not limited to, the owner) are condescending, patronizing, and outright abusive to women. You're not crazy: Yes, god forbid you ask a simple question, they treat you like an idiot. Yes, they are sarcastic and roll their eyes at a perfectly logical question. Makes me wonder who is the idiot? The customer, or the thin-skinned owner who berates customers? Once he gets started, the guy can't leave it alone: "What time will my car be ready?" (This, after waiting for more than 2 hours after a so-called appointment) "What's the matter? Is noon good enough for you? What about 12:05, would that be okay? What about 12:07"? Like Erica says, it's just tires dude, simmer down. Then, shortly after, he circles back for more. "Boy, if this is the worst thing that has ever happened to you, you must be pretty special." Wow. I was a little skeptical of the amazing reviews this place got, but it was indeed amazing. I came in on Thursday with no appointment to get four new all-weather tires and they immediately started looking for tires that came in my suv's size. The woman helping me came back with three good options with the prices written out and told me they had to order them from Denver, but that they'd be here tomorrow (she did this in like 5 min. despite it being busy inside). She asked me what my availability was which was after 2 pm and she said come in any time after that then, not making me commit to a specific time which was great. When I dropped my car off, they told me it would take 45 min to an hour, so I left and got a call that my car was ready in 50 min, which was awesome since usually mechanic/tire shops have always given me underestimates on how long things would take, making me come back early and wait around (not the case here!). The final price ended up being cheaper than what I would have gotten at discount tire. The tires I chose were very well reviewed top sellers that weren't even available at discount tire. My family has been going to Barnsley for 8 years. I'm a good mechanic and have found them to be completely honest. If they tell you something is wrong - it is. They won't try to upsell you on anything and treat women and young drivers with absolute respect and honesty.They never charge me full price for service. They repaired my wife's flat for free even though she told them that she didn't think we bought the tires from them. They are a busy shop - but always get us in even without appointment. I recommend this shop to every one of my friends. It's impossible to find good old fashioned customer service anymore - Barnsley is the exception. I won't go anywhere else for tires or alignment. Sam and the other guys who run Barnsley were once the best. Years of quality customer service has clearly given up. I brought my car to them to have a tire pressure sensor replaced. They ended up replacing the wrong one. This was not the issue though. When they went back to pull it out they replaced it with a normal valve stem. This trigged my cars computer and I ended up needing to take it to a dealership to have the fault removed. After all this Barnsley charged me $30 OVER WHAT THEY SAID BEFORE THEY STARTED! AND THEY ONLY MADE THINGS WORSE. To make it all even worse, the dealer charged me $300 to fix their mistakes and Sam was still exceptionally rude! read more

We got a flat tire on I-25 heading to Boulder and replaced the tire in Wheatland, WY. When we arrived in Boulder we needed to match that tire before heading North again. We found Barnsley Tires! Great garage, excellent staff, super busy, and they ordered us the tire we needed and put it on so we could be on our way safely admidst all their regular business. Excellent! I am in Maine and my daughter is in Boulder getting ready to drive home, she put a hole in the sidewall or her new tires and we could not get another one at the store she purchased them at. I hit the internet and found Barnsley tire. Sam went out of his way to get her on the road selling her a gently used tire. I can't speak highly enough of Barnsley. I had a tire fixed there and when I got home I noticed the hubcap was missing. It wasn't clear if it fell off while driving or if they forgot to replace after repairing the tire. They ordered a replacement for me. I was completely ready to pay for it, given it wasn't clear how/when it fell off. When I picked it up, however, they told me it would be no charge to me and gave it to me. Purchased sixteen tires in just the past 4 years from Barnsley but they still refused to check the brake pads for wear on my mini rv (8'8" tall, 21'8" long, 6900 pounds - shorter and lighter than curb weight of an f350 pickup. I confirmed all my specs when making a reservation but when I showed up they turned me away. Apparently their lifts are not big enough. The auto repair place on arapahoe was happy to take a look. Go in get pricing on tires, 85 a tire. 2 weeks later they tell me its 125 a tire, so I went somewhere else instead. recently my buddy did the same. at first it was 135 a tire, then a week later it was 185 a tire. customer service was rude, and I see why these guys should have any good review. If you're going to do business with these guys, check tire rack for the pricing of the tire of your choice first, they might try to rip you off! read more

If you value fair and honest customer service this is the place for you. They're no-nonsense and offer good advice because they've all been doing this forever. You might be able to shop around for a better price- everything's cheaper on the internet, but try to get somewhere else to back-up their service and products like Barnsley. I had new tires put on my Tacoma that were suggested by Barnsley. When I got the truck, it was ridding really rough. Sam Barnsley had me come in and took it out for a test drive himself and was quick to solve the problem! He was set on making sure it was fixed even if that meant swapping out the tires. What I like about Barnsley Tire, is they are Honest. I took my truck in because I was problems with the steering. I thought the whole front was in need of repair. I get a call from Sam and he says it just some bushings and it would just over $100. He could have rebuilt the front end and I wouldn't have said anything. There is no other place to consider going for tires, wheels, brakes - anything having to do with the "down there' of the car. Sam and his team are fantastic, and will advise about a great many things and only charge for things they do - and charge fairly. I have never been more relaxed in a car care environment. read more
