Seating outside.

This is a great place for a quick bite to eat and a good drink. Fun spot for the family as they have games and space to move around. Very dog friendly as well. Food was on point and service was very attentive. Atmosphere was very laid back. Which is exactly how we like it. Island Time is definitely a real thing.

Great, fresh seafood and nice atmosphere! Can only access by boat, so stopped by for lunch on a boat day. I had the fish tacos with grouper, my boyfriend had the fish sandwich. They just redid the outdoor area and it super nice, tons of shade on a hot day. Feels very tropical, very fun. Would highly recommend.

Buffalo shrimp and conch fritters were solid. Even better is the rustic, authentic island atmosphere. Worth checking out once you e had your fill of Cabbage Key!

Love this place. We've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. They have wonderful black beans and rice that you have to get if you come here. They have great fish, shrimp, and burgers. They also have some fun activities outside such as cornhole and hoola-hoops. I would recommend it to someone who's on the island and wants some great seafood.

Love this place! Sure, we don't go here primarily for the food but reather the experience. You can only get to this place by boat, unless you live on the island - I think that's pretty cool! When we vacation in Cape Coral we ususally make it a point to come here at least once. Actually, if there is one thing I remember or think about when I think vacation in Florida it's coming to Barnacle Phil's. The minute you take that turn with your boat around that ole stilt house and see the little harbor you know you have arrived. Docking is a breeze (except if you go at 1pm at high season) and most times there are helpful hands to help you dock. Once you walk away from the dock you find yourself immediately in their outside dining area. First thing we like to order after a long day on the water is a bucket of ice cold Corona. Just the thought of the beach, sand, sun and Corona at Barnacle Phil's makes me think of the commercials... The food is OK. Come on - what do you expect in a place that would be perfect for Jimmy Buffett to retire at? We will we back as long as this place is open!

Copied from Cabbage Key, I think.

GETTING HERE IS HALF THE FUN! Located on the north end of North Captiva Island, getting here by boat is the only option, so we were very happy to join some good friends and give this place a try. As a casual, on the water restaurant and bar, I thought it was certainly above average. We had a beans & rice soup (okay), a hearts of palm salad (good) and crab cakes (also good). All in all, this place contributes to a fun outing, and, as above, getting there was definitely half, or perhaps 3/4, the fun!

A little pick me uo

Bailey and Sarah were great as we were looking for a spot to watch football. Good drinks, good food and playful interaction with the staff. Made for a great day and new members of the shark bait family

Amazing location...only accessible by boat!!! Loved my shrimp tacos...and I'm a taco snob. Prices were a bit high, but worth every penny. We sat outside, service was great, and the view amazing. My friend had the blackened fish sandwich, very fresh, and the beer was ice cold.

The Mahi Mahi: Fresh, delicious fish blackened to perfection and topped with Chipotle sauce and Pico de Gallo.

Cute place. Very touristy. We didn't eat due to an hour back up in the kitchen for food. We would go back though.

This turned out to be one of our favorite stops on the island so far! We were lucky enough to have Rene as our server--friendly, upbeat, and genuinely helpful. She offered thoughtful recommendations and never missed a beat, even with a larger group. Let's talk food & drinks: Key Lime Frozen Drink - My brother ordered this and it was the standout of the day. Creamy, tart, and tropical. Like Key Lime Pie in a glass! Chicken Tenders & Fries - My daughter gave these a big thumbs up. The fries were golden, crispy, and super fresh--not greasy at all. Chicken BLT - I ordered this and skipped the brioche bun (though it looked amazing!). Even bun-less, it was flavorful and satisfying. Blackened Grouper Tacos - My dad went with these and they looked fantastic--fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. He also had a Rum Runner, which was strong, smooth, and perfectly blended. (Not for the faint of heart!) The poolside ambiance was exactly what you want on a sunny island day--lively music, a splashing fountain, and a relaxed crowd. We didn't feel rushed, and it was easy to just settle in and enjoy the afternoon. Whether you are staying on the island or visiting for the day, definitely make time to stop here. Friendly service, great food, and that laid-back island energy. We will be back before the trip is over!

The dock was well maintained and the restaurant/bar has a decent feel with sand all around. It was a super hot day so we made our way inside and snagged one of the few tables that was in there. My brother and I made our way to the bar outside to order drinks for our group. We ordered 2 watermelon mojitos, a margarita, and a strawberry lemonade. The drinks were all served in regular plastic solo cup size cups. I paid $80. This is astronomical especially for what we received. I'm not new to the island hopping life but this was way overpriced. The Watermelon mojito had a sort of phoney taste to it. Maybe it was not fresh juice used. I was told the margarita was just mehhh. But that price for 3 alcoholic drinks and 1 plain lemonade still gets me. This is definitely not the spot to stay for a long time and enjoy many drinks over an afternoon.

Also, the bartenders lie about the prices to intentionally mislead customers. Extremely OVERPRICED drinks! I'm debating alerting the BBB about my experience. Mainstay offers a 16oz glass or a 20oz 'bucket' mixed drink choice. When ordering, I asked the male bartender on 3/17 (St Paddy's) the difference in prices and was told that "The bucket is a better deal if you plan to order two or more drinks since it's only $2 more and you only pay the extra charge for the bucket on the first drink". Great - i planned to order 2-3 drinks so it made sense for me to pay extra for the 20oz 'bucket' drink. When I went up to order my 2nd drink it was a female bartender who took my order this time. I held my empty 'bucket' up to show her I had already purchased it and ordered the Mai Tai in a bucket. I asked if I need to give her my bucket to refill and she said 'no, hold on to it we'll give you a new one'. Well, she did give me a new one but she also charged me $13 AGAIN for the 'bucket' charge. So I paid $20 for the drink + $13 for the bucket. $33 for the drink. The 16oz drink is $18. Bartenders intentionally mislead customers. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.

Anyone looking to support a quiet waterfront community should certainly consider this gem. Parking in navigation can sometimes be tricky. So consider utilizing the paid parking and security offered by the Pineland Marina Safe Harbor next-door. The twisty windy Road past the historic post office, the Randall research center, and all the grounds of this archaeological treasure trove is worth the drive. But I would not encourage anybody to bike or walk due to limited unsafe pathways and frequent flooding. But once you find your sweet parking spot and don't have to worry about anything. Have lunch at the tarpon Lodge and then walk all through the community of pineland and gaze upon this country club-esque neighborhood that is anchored by an abandoned golf course. Local wildlife is rebounding in this potential preserve. Bird watches especially have opportunities to check rare sightings off of their ornithology list. Including spring time elusives like the Chuck Wills Widow nightjar, white pelicans, juvenile bald eagles looking for their life mates, pileated woodpeckers and so much more. And if you're lucky and you play your cards right, a local might give you a couple fishing tips and some secret spots. So always have a fishing pole and bait ready.

This place is frozen in time that makes me celebrate my inner child and love my current life all at once. This spot is so quirky, it's Christmas all year round, you're surrounded by antiques and collectibles and then the menu is filled with things from land and sea that are delish. I do believe this visit was the first time I have ever had an alcoholic beverage t the Bubble Room since the majority of my memories come from begging my parents to take me to get orange crunch cake as a kid on our summer vacation (still slaps). I opted for a French martini and this was so good! Their twist on the classic drink has basil and I enjoyed that refreshing twist. For dinner, we started with crab cakes and I got the Prime Rib. It was HUGE, and perfectly cooked. If you go to the Bubble Room, it is imperative that you order desert. I don't care how full you are, and I don't care if you do not like dessert. The cakes here are ridiculous. I still remember fighting over them growing up - and it's amazing that after 20+ years of eating them, they taste just as good every time. The best is without a doubt the orange crunch cake, but I also love the coconut cake. There is something about a place that remains the same no matter how much you change. The Bubble Room is a place that has earned icon status, and I am so happy to see it not only reopen, but packed with families making memories. Service is super friendly. Our server, Bob, was awesome!
