Uh holy cow this blueberry grilled cheese with bacon was INSANE!!!!! Super quick to order on a Saturday morning and ate out in their shaded patio. I want to go back and test out their pizza and burger. They are currently doing renovation and it looks like they're adding more convenience store features which should be really exciting. Added some pictures of the fridges they were adding / stocking up.

The coffee is mediocre, at best. I've only ever stopped at this chain as a matter of convenience. Stouthaus & Radio are both down the street and are superior in every aspect. They certainly aren't winning any awards for customer service. Don't let the pleasant demeanor & sunny disposition fool you. Savannah & the lady in the apron who acts like she owns the joint are not to be trifled with! It also speaks volumes when an owner can't take the time to respond to the multiple one-star reviews of her establishment.

Quick and friendly service! Second time trying and it did not disappoint. Latte had a good balance of flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Can definitely taste the pistachio and cherry flavor. Smallish parking lot, but had no troubles finding a spot. Took it to go, but they do have open seating with lots of space if you wanted to hang out.

I really wanted to like it here. I gave it another shot after trying something like their oat milk latte (which was okay), I came back this time and tried the Brown Sugar latte this was one tasty. I had it to go, and in a very small cup. I honestly was shocked that I paid almost 7 bucks for it. I also tried the croissant with bacon. It was also okay. I'd probably come back again for snacks since half of the store is convenience now, but not for the coffee or eats. The barista wasn't super friendly but also the customer service wasn't the best. Granted it was 7:30am when I came by, even more of a reason to greet someone with something as small and simple as a smile.

Okrrr, cute Barley Bean. You have a lot going for ya. And for fans of coffee... and pastries and gelato and pizza ....and wine, beer, snacks, etc. Ya heard right. Barely Bean offers more than just beans - they have beer (hmmm, hence the name?!) and all of the aforementioned. My bestie Katie B and I were on a morning walk with furbabe Ron Bear and dropped in for some morning coffee. So many options, but I went for a alt milk latte. Drink was hot and warmed me up just right.

Barley Bean is a super cute coffee shop with great natural lighting, lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, and plenty of outlets for those working from anywhere. They have a full food menu and offer a variety of drinks, including beer. I ordered the breakfast tacos, but unfortunately, they were pretty bland, even with the salsa. For drinks, I ordered a hot Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it felt like a warm hug perfect for a cold day. Since I came on the cusp of breakfast and lunch, I saw a customer wanting a beer, however, the staff was unknowledgeable with the options, which led to some customer frustration. It might be helpful for the staff to familiarize themselves with the beer offerings and have some notes to better assist customers.

Popped in for a self date breakfast since my boyfriend was out with the boys and I didn't feel like cooking for myself. The restaurant is counter service so you are greeted by a barista as you enter and can place tour order promptly. Despite being mainly a coffee shop they offer a nice selection of breakfast and lunch options as well as several beers on tap. I ordered the brown sugar cinnamon myracle latte ($6.50) which was delicious! It was a great balance and perfect temp to drink when it came out. For brunch I ordered the Chicken & Waffles ($15) which came out quick, hot and fresh! I was surprised to see that the buttermilk fried chicken was actually a chicken patty and the spicy maple syrup just tasted like regular maple syrup but the meal was still enjoyable. I would say they should rephrase the menu description a bit to better manage expectations.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and got the chicken salad croissant sandwich and damn it was delicious! I love the croissant bread and the chicken salad was great. It comes with a side and I chose chips and got a bag of lays with my order. Cute outdoor patio space and some indoor seating as well. Service was quick - food came out in less than 5 minutes!

Barley bean is the best. Not only do they serve quality coffee, but their food is surprisingly very good. I ordered an omelet and it was high quality and served shortly after ordering. Today I ordered the Vanilla Pistachio Rose Cardamom Latte with sweet foam which is on the fall favorite menu. During the seasons, I always look to see if businesses have holiday drinks, and if they do that is a plus in my book. The drink was nice, warm, and flavorful as I tasted the vanilla and subtle pistachio rose. Cardamom lattes are one of my favorites because they are sweet and typically mix well with different syrups. Barley bean is a good place to get some work done if you WFH but not the best place to do so. The music can be on the louder side, so if you need some small tasks to be done then that would be easier to do here. The employees are really great at recommending drinks and food, they have not done me wrong before. In addition, the shop also has games like chess. I haven't played in years but when I played with my friend is was like I never stopped. It was a fun activity to do as we finished our drinks. There is also an outdoor patio full of seating. Parking is located in the back, typically I do not struggle getting a parking spot but if it gets packed then I could see that being an issue. Overall, great place, sometimes I wish they had a drive thru for quick visits but typically they are always pretty quick!

Always a delight. The baristas are so nice and helpful and willing to bring whatever recipe I come up with to life. They have both tables and a couch area and great WiFi. Round that out with pastries, a full lunch menu and wine and beer and there's no need to ever go anywhere else.

This is a great coffee shop in a very convenient location. I like how they have dedicated parking spots. I had an iced matcha latte which was very refreshing! This was a nice spot to meet up and catch up. Very relaxing.

I met my friend here on Sunday morning. We got there around 9:30 and there were a few people that trickled in and out but overall it wasn't busy. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We did not order any food but they do have lots of packaged snacks on a table near the register and I bought some pretzels for later. I got the brown sugar latte, which was pretty good. I got it iced and it comes with an alternative milk option. The coffee was pretty good, the cafe was cute with good music, and there's free parking! I would definitely go back.

Such a great spot. Needed to do some work on the fly and just looked for a spot near me. The staff was so amazingly nice and welcoming. The drink and food options were perfect. They have a cool print thing also. Basically you can print stuff if need be from there. I can't really explain since I didn't use but it's a service that is being hosted at that location. I will Definitely go back if I'm the area. Only down fall was the small parking lot but i guess It's fine for the size of the shop.

New furniture & layout inside! Great place to study

This is a review about the coffee and food aspect of Simona's…read more It is over priced. In terms of coffee, they are middle of the pack. There is much better coffee in austin. They have premium prices still. They sell pastries and they have a taco food truck connected to it. Both are still very much overpriced. I get it, they are inside a nice hotel and so they will charge a premium but at least have the quality match that.

Located inside the Colton House Hotel, Simona's is the hotel's local resident serving coffee by…read moreday, and cocktails by night. I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.
