This place is such a great neighborhood staple for dog lovers!! The atmosphere is welcoming and social. It's easy to strike up conversations with other dog owners, the staff is very friendly, and management is thoughtful, responsive, and focused on customer service. The dogs have plenty of room to play (both in the big dog area and small dog area), there's someone supervising to keep interactions safe, it's very clean, and there are lots of ways for everyone to cool off.... The misting fans are great, and I love that dogs are welcome inside the air-conditioned restaurant when they (or we) need a break from the FL heat! We tried the pizza this visit and it was definitely better than your typical bar food! The dough was especially delicious. The little details (like the cute restroom signs) are a great touch ....You can tell a lot of thought went into making the place fun and comfortable for both people and their pups. I am absolutely obsessed with bringing my doggo here. It's great for him to socialize with other dogs while I can also socialize with other humans with a drink in my hand! Your dog will need to be up to date on vaccines as well as either having a membership here or paying $10-15 for your dog's entry fee. There is a small dog side if you're not comfortable with your smaller dogs playing with the big boys and girls. There is also an inside area where you can watch sports on TV and play some pool if you have your dog leashed. All the food here is really really good. The specialty drinks are a little sweet for me here personally but the spritz selection is pretty fire! The servers are always so nice and bubbly. They do rotate some of the drinks out so I always love to see what they have new. What a fun place! The set up for the dogs is fantastic with double gates and everyone seems to very cautious of each other's dogs. The play area is not as large as some of the others but it's more of a cozy feel plus they seem to have a good amount of friendly staff working each time I have been there, so service was nice and easy. They have a decent selection of beers as well as mixed drinks. The food is pub food such as flat bread, wings, and sandwiches. I opted for a pizza which was out very quickly (I notice the brick oven is outside) so it had a good flavor. It's tucked in the warehouse area in Ivanhoe (think- behind Santiago's, right off the Urban Bike Trail) and offers so much to its patrons. They're most known for their dog park area out back, where they offer day passes for a single visit (weekend and weekday rates), or the option to become a monthly or annual member. Members get a 10% discount on regular-priced food, drinks, and merch every day and a 25% discount on Mondays. The dogs who come out with their humans seem to be really friendly and well-socialized, and there is a dog behaviorist around to make sure to moderate any play that gets too rough. I was apprehensive about the main dog area because my tiny yorkie can get a bit nervous around a lot of off-leash larger dogs, but Anna (our awesome server) let me know that they have a small dog/gentle dog area that would be perfect for her! Get ready, Birdie! The thing that impressed me the most is that the bar and eatery are not an afterthought. The day we were there they had Bourbon County Stout on draft- which is super unusual and clued me in that they care about the quality of drinks. Next time, I'm going for that espresso martini I saw on a sign! Also, they have many TVs in their indoor and outdoor areas, so whatever sports game you're interested in will likely be showing. I absolutely love the concept here. It's a groomer, restaurant/ bar and a doggie play area, so you will get to see so many cute doggos! Definitely a bonus. As for the food, I loved the flavor in the Arayas (Lebanese burger). Definitely different and heavily seasoned, which I love. The slaw/salad that comes with it is super tasty, but I felt like adding more acidity would cut through some of the grease. We also tried the Zaatar wedges and they were so good with the garlic tahini and tzatziki. (pro tip: the tahini goes great with the Arayas). I think the wings we got were the North African wings and the flavor was delicious, however I'm a crispy wing girlie so they were a little soggy for my taste. Finally made our way to BarkHaven today and what a blast! Was invited to a paw-ty and it was so cute! We registered our dog once we got there, but I recommended to pre-register and have your rabies and vaccines on hand to upload! All the staff was friendly and kind to all the dogs! Super attentive and made sure everyone played nicely and kept any trouble makers apart lol! Tons of seating inside the park for owners as well as bowls and dog pools for the dogs to enjoy! Honestly the play area was smaller than it looks in pictures, but my dog still got to run around all over! It was super sunny today and there's not many shaded area so plan ahead especially with hotter weather approaching! Inside the patio/eating area, we enjoyed some of the delicious wings paired with a fairy dog mother cocktail. We got our dog a pup cake! Love that there's a couple of items to get for your dog! The concept is pretty cool, with an outdoor and indoor seating area and a view of the dog play area. Weekdays they charge $10 per dog and weekends it's $15. Or you can opt and get a monthly membership for $35 and this also give you 10% off the menu items. Now they have a separate area for small dogs and this area has outdoor couches, tables to eat and a fire pit. It looks cool if you were to come on a cool day or in the evening. For a typical hot Florida day like today, it was too hot since there was no shade whatsoever in the small dog area. We paid $15 but didn't stay long because it was so hot, no shade, and no other dogs in the small dog area. So we paid just to have my dog in an enclosed area by himself. We took him to the large dog area and of course he's scared of large dogs so he just hid behind me the whole time. I do like they have someone monitoring the dogs and checking their behavior. I can see the appeal if you live in an apartment or don't have your own space for your dog to roam but I have a house on 1/2 acre of land where my dog is happy to run around in and not scared. This is also a good venue for dog birthday parties or "gotcha" days like others have mentioned. But they seem to only play country music. We ordered food, two main meals and the Patatas bravas as appetizers, one soft drink and one mocktail for $7. The total was still over $100 so it is pricey. You check in at the lobby, where you can either pay for a day pass or sign up for a membership ($35 a month for unlimited visits and 10% off your bill every time). We're definitely getting a membership soon! Make sure you upload your dog's vaccine records online or bring them with you for your first visit! Inside, there's a full restaurant that's so nice, I actually forgot I was in a dog bar! Outside, there's a spacious turfed yard for the dogs to play off-leash, plus a cozy fire pit and extra seating to hang out. We sat inside, had a couple of drinks, and treated our dog to a pup cup and a pup cake - she absolutely loved them! Our waiter was fantastic, super friendly, and you can really tell that everyone here is a dog lover. My son took me here for the first time since he knows. I love dogs. The dogs were amazing friendly got to see a lot of different breeds but food wise. They were limiting the menu as it was a Valentine's Day specials, but we had a pepperoni pizza and a three cheese pizza. They came out quickly. They were piping hot and absolutely delicious. Per my furbaby Keller who went to BarkHaven with me, he says this place gets two paws up! This is such a cool concept for so my reasons. It was a simple process to submit Keller's vax records online before even leaving home so check-in on site was easy and only $15 for a day pass. I noticed they also have a grooming salon (uhm, this is genius! You're saying I can sip a mimosa whole someone rub a dub dubs the doggo? Perfection). The menu stuck us a really thoughtfully done and the Lebanese burger was very tasty. Keller enjoyed his post-play yard pup cup. Speaking of the play yard, we are grateful for the attendants being understanding of Keller's needs. He's a double Merle Aussie, meaning he is totally deaf and partially blind. Typically they require off-leash in the play yard but they let us keep him on leash due to his unique physical traits. What was funny (and not altogether unsurprising) was Keller was more interested in making friends with humans than other dogs, but there were a couple chill greyhounds who he vibes with. Definitely plan to return with my other hounds, especially the ones who like water as they keep these large bone-shaped trough pools full with clean water (they're dumped and refilled regularly) c and will sit in the fire pit couches area next time. read more

We've visited Barkhaven twice now with our two dogs, and overall it's been a really positive experience. One of our pups is typically very shy, but on our second visit she felt more comfortable and even started socializing, which was great to see. It's such a nice concept, especially for those of us who don't have a backyard, this gives the dogs a fun, safe place to play. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I really appreciate that there's always someone monitoring the dog area to make sure things stay under control. There's also a dedicated space for smaller dogs, which is a thoughtful touch. That said, there's definitely room for improvement. The biggest downside is the lack of shade, on sunny days, it gets very hot, and even sitting by the play area becomes uncomfortable with the sun directly in your face. I can see this being a problem in the summer. We also tried the brava potatoes from the menu and were disappointed. That experience made us hesitant to try anything else food-wise. Still, it's a great spot with lots of potential, and we'll likely return for the dogs to enjoy themselves. Hopefully, they make a few upgrades as they grow! read more

I went with my friends to this place with their dog and we had an amazing time! BarkHaven is a warm, welcoming space designed for dogs and the people who love them. It is very relaxing and their staff take exceptional care of your furry friend. They offer a menu for our furry friends as well for us humans, hahaha! We had the "Barkhaven Bay Fish & Chips, Pizza made with chicken and bacon, and the BH Bratwurst" and all was delicious. And because we are entering the holiday season, they offered a selection of seasonal drinks that were amazing! Me and my friend's wife had the " Fairy Dog Mother" garnished with fruits of the loop cereal, and wow! It was awesome! This is a new place in the Orlando area. The concept is pretty cool: Bar/Restaurant to take your dog to for socializing or play time. The yard area for the dogs to play in is quite spacious, and there is an employee in there that watches over the dogs n the dog pen area. All the rules are posted online and I recommend you check them out to make sure it's a good fit for your dog. You do have to make a reservation online in advance though to provide proof of your dog's current vaccines and it's also $15 for a day pass for one dog. They also have monthly or annual memberships available for purchase if you find you want to bring your dog here often. Our dogs had fun, but preferred to be on the other side of the fence from the table we were sitting at next to the play yard. Food: The prices for the food I feel are high and overpriced for what portions you actually get. Steak frites for example, there was not a lot of steak and mostly fries. Basically an overpriced plate for mostly fries and minimal meat. Same deal with the Caribbean Sticky Ribs. There's also menu options to order food for your dog. Service: Our server was helpful about menu items and ordering, but not really around that much after we ordered or after food/drinks were brought to our table. My group also didn't really appreciate how the tip was kind of hidden and automatically put on the bill in almost a sneaky attempt to get us to double tip. Ambiance: There is indoor/bar seating, and outdoor seating where you can enjoy yourself and also watch your dog in the play area. My group did separate checks for our orders, and my own bill for just 1 mixed drink, Caribbean Ribs, and tip somehow came out to $45... If you're looking for a regular place to take yourself and your dog for an outing, this is a cool option to try. I'd recommend this place for the dog play aspect for guests and their dogs, but not so much the food part due to the high prices and small food portions. We were really excited to try Bark Haven since it's so close to a place we used to frequent, Pup's Pub. We even had a membership there, but parking was always a struggle. So when we saw a post about Bark Haven, we thought it would be the perfect new spot to bring our dog. One positive is that parking is somewhat easier here. They have a parking lot, plus street parking available, which is a relief compared to the challenges we faced at the previous spot. The venue itself is clean, aesthetic, and well-kept--though that's to be expected from a new place. The outside play area is nice, with synthetic turf, pools, water stations, and poop bags for convenience. There's also a separate outdoor area with fire pits and seating for those who want to relax. There is a bar outside that allows you to eat and drink with your pet, which is a great perk. Inside, there's a separate seating area (pets aren't allowed indoors). I will say, it may be beneficial to have a separate area for small dogs vs larger dogs...there was a 3 month old puppy there, which surprisingly is allowed. Not sure if there are any size or age restrictions. They had a decent menu (I've included pictures here), but unfortunately, we were let down by the service. Even though it wasn't *super busy*, no one attended to us when we tried to order food and drinks after our dog finished playing. We had to go find our own menus, and even after that, no one came to check on us or take our order, so we ended up leaving without ordering anything. I do see potential in this place, (especially with the additional grooming services they offer), but so far, I wasn't impressed with the overall experience. I'm hopeful that it will improve as they work out the kinks of being a new business (and I'll update my review if they do in our future visits)! read more

The park itself it kept really clean, there are usually two dog attendants keeping the place clean, monitoring the dogs and letting owners know RIGHT AWAY if there pup needs a break or 10minute time out. The coffee options are great! I love that they have wifi to accommodate remote work & puppy play time. You can have a seat on the patio and have a clear view of your dog and the park. They also have dog beds you can put by your table and leash your dog below if they want a break from the park. While I do wish they had a small dog area, my chihuahua does enjoy playing with bigger dogs so has a great time. The attendants are also helpful in case the big dogs get too much for her or if kids won't give pups space. I have been so impressed with the food options! The flatbreads are so good, love the flavor profiles. The Hot Honey & Kimchii is my go to! I also love that during Sunday football beer and wings are 1/2 off. I got the Zaatar Bravas, which were perfectly crispy and served with tzatziki. I also got an Apple Pie cider, which was gluten-free. The staff seem knowledgeable about dietary needs, including gluten-free options. The dogs in the playpen can get a bit overbearing, so if you have an easygoing/timid furry friend, you might keep them close to you. Loads of staff on standby to serve clients. I watched the way Amber, the manager, acted on 5/30 and it was beyond unprofessional, it was flat-out disrespectful and honestly hard to watch. We've gone out of our way to keep to ourselves just to avoid dealing with her rudeness and immature attitude. No one should feel targeted or uncomfortable in a place they're literally paying to be in. What makes it worse is how this business handles it, they don't take accountability, they just delete comments and block anyone who calls it out. I am beyond taken back and livid. I usually bring my children and my dog to enjoy ourselves. But this experience on Sunday April 27th was mortifying. Thank goodness for the young lady who was tending to the dogs. She was able to notify me about the situation and reported the dog and the owner. This woman and her black German Shepard that had a white spot couldn't be anymore insensitive ti the situation. I watched this German Sheppard bite a young girl and started crying the owner didn't say a thing. Then the dog bites my daughters behind. She continues to do nothing at all. I ask the attendant she stated she is talking to the owner to report the situation. The owner wanted to take a picture of my daughter's butt for the file and I could not give consent to that. The manager/owner didn't even have the decency to talk to me and my daughter. I also found out this wasn't the first or second incident with this dog. As they are in the process of banning the German Sheppard and the owner, I find out that the owner didn't even have a leash to walk the dog out. She also didn't apologize to me or the other family. She should no remorse. The facility did not manage any of this well. Our family felt neglected. I do not think this was managed correctly at all and I truly hope no other families have to deal with this neglect. This a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

Well, let's see... -They don't accept cash. Except for tips, cash tips are totally fine but you can't pay for your drinks in cash. I refuse to support places that will not accept my cash. -They served me an old fashioned in a plastic glass... EW! -They keep their plastic pint glasses in a freezer to cool them. The bartender apologized that it wasn't as cold as it should be. Yeah, because it's plastic. -You can't just stop by with your dog. You'll need to bring all the paperwork as though you're moving to a new vet. We're just driving around with the dog looking to stop somewhere for a quick drink. When we walked in the door (with the pup), the girl asked us if we were members. We said no, just grabbing a drink. We got informed that you'll need all the paperwork you'd need to enter a foreign country just to walk in with a dog. She was curt. In fact, she said we were not allowed to walk into the bar area with our dog. I let the dog know he was not welcome here because he doesn't have his papers. He was sad. The takeaway is that if you're a DOG-centric environment, you'll need to get better at having "the conversation" with new people. It's your first opportunity to gain or lose a customer. While clearly they push people to become members, it's a tough time to be in the service industry. We were told we were not allowed in to the establishment. There are a myriad of ways you could have that talk in a less standoffish manner. Good luck!
