    Outdoor area

We really enjoyed our meals. The food was good, but not amazing. It was appropriately priced for the quality and flavors. There was a ton of outdoor seating which is always really nice. And there was adequate indoor seating for when the weather is not great The food did take a very long time and there was no one before us. So just be prepared for that If we were in the area again, we would probably try something else for that price point but it's fine if you are craving some Hawaiian food which is hard to find in the area

My previous visit to Barkada Edmonds was back in 1/19/18 which I gave a two star back then. I revisited this spot over 5.5 years later with The College Friend on 8/15/23. Both she and her friend have this on their routine dining rounds, I figured I should give this another try. Indeed there were improvements observed, so added another star. We got a nearby parking spot on this very hot summer afternoon. We decided to stop by during their happy hour, which was fortuitous for me since items ordered and consumed onsite from 3-5pm is 50% off. I ordered the Kalua Pig with cabbage, this came in a compostable take out box with steamed rice, a scoop of mac salad, and some greens. It was a hefty amount served and I ended up only finishing half of it. I was glad for the cold water in the self serve canteen containers, although the POG slushie looked enticing on the menu. I ended up eating the mac salad later (bit much mayo wise) and the rest of the pork and rice was consumed by The Homie. To be honest, I actually prefer laulau over kalua pig. The College Friend ordered her usual Pork Sisig which came with steamed rice, greens, and spicy chili sauce. She was a bit disappointed though that for the second time there was no purple sweet potato salad available. I would say this is a great bargain when stopping by during happy hour. Have some HH beverages and convo first, then take your conveniently packed food and enjoy it al fresco at one of many parks in Edmonds. Considering how compact the food/drink prep area is, they have decent menu selections, there's something for everyone. It was good to revisit and see that they have found their niche as the northend pioneer. There are also now other Filipino or island plate lunch spots in Lynnwood and Everett.

Everything was so fresh and flavorful! The Bibimbop was amazing with all kinds of textures and tastes. It hit all the right notes. I got a side of Mac which was the perfect accompaniment. It's one of the most unique and delicious macaroni salads I've ever had. Hubby had the garlic shrimp and ahi which he said were both perfect.

Barkada is my second foray into a Filipino restaurant & it was a great experience. The cashier was very pleasant & helpful. I had the Mixed Plate with Pork Belly Sisig, Chicken Adobo, Mac Salad & Pancit. The food was perfect, and the restaurant is clean with a nice seating area outside. The only thing that would prevent me from coming regularly is price. $30 + tip for lunch is a lot. Everything else was great.

Just moved into Seattle 2 weeks ago and my wife and I kept passing by this restaurant a few times, which provoked my interest. So, this past Friday, my wife and I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it did not strike our taste buds with gratification. It was not the wait time as kept ourselves preoccupied with jenga, cards, and sungka. It was not the drinks as we enjoyed the San Miguel and Margarita. It was not the location and seating arrangement as we loved the filipino-hawaiian ambience and the outdoor seating. It was the food. Loved the lumpia. But, I was not fond of the adobe as it tasted tooo vinegar-y. Shrimp tasted delicious. I was not too fond of the pancit or the lechon. We may reconsider another visit.

Great dish - very tasty - the egg was perfect. Sal's was so good - loved all of it. Enjoyed sitting outside with my dog.

If you're looking for a patio to enjoy the nice weather and get some good food, then this is the spot for you. The best fusion food, to me, is food that stays true to both cultures and doesn't create something unrecognizable. Barkada delivers that so well with their mix of Hawaiian and Filipino foods. I tried the mix plate and got sisig, adobo, pancit, and mac salad. I adore sisig and I really loved their spin on it which was extra saucy, had sauteed onions, and was topped with spicy mayo. The adobo also surprised me with how they kept the chick tender and juicy. I also couldn't resist a spam musubi and the beautiful ube horchata cocktail. The musubi was just okay but wow I would come back again for the ube horchata alone. As far as I could tell, there's only street parking in this area which can be a bit tricky because it's along a major road, but the food is worth the fight to find a spot.

We stumbled upon Barkada while we were in the area. We were so excited to find a Filipino restaurant as there doesn't seem to be many. We went pretty late on a Saturday evening. Even though it was late, there were quite a lot of people. At the time, only outdoor seating seemed to be open (couldn't tell but I think there's a downstairs inside the restaurant, not sure if there was seating down there or not. One thing we didn't love was that staff doesn't clean the tables between parties. They leave out one container of clorox wipes to be shared among tables and it's kind of left up to customers to wipe down the tables themselves. Our table was pretty sticky and gross and I wish the staff could help sanitize to ensure that tables are clean and ready to eat on. You order at the counter and are given one of those light up buzzers to let you know when your order is ready. Not sure if it was just because it was a bit busy but it seemed to take a VERY long time for our order to be ready. The food was pretty good. We ordered lumpia, Spam Musubi, Pancit, Pork Sisig, Kalua Pig, Ube Horchata and Citrus-Ade. Our favorites were the kulua pork, musubi and sisig. Really wish the citrus-ade would have been calamansi which was listed on an older menu. But, it wasn't. The citrus-ade was pretty tart. Overall we enjoyed the food and it was a good amount of food with plenty leftover to have later. If we're in the area gain, we would definitely go again.

Yo, this is the spot, dank (in a good way) Filipino food. And best of all, they have happy hour on Wednesday and Thursday at 8-9 pm / Friday and Saturday 9-10 pm where you get 50% off the entire food menu! Who does that?! Your food is already hella good! So if you don't wanna break the bank and try lots of options with friends, come for happy hour at least. As FYI, it can get pretty crowded since the price is attractive so expect to wait a bit to get your food, which is a good excuse to get cheap drinks. I'm definitely a regular since I want to support this awesome business and see them grow. For those who were blessed with aunties or titas, I don't know if is going to be as authentic as a home cooked meal but you have to respect the Filipino representation. Personal favorites are the lechon (when they have it), tocino tostada (special only), sisig, and poke. If you see any pork specials, get it since they're so well prepared. They don't skimp on the drinks and make them strong btw. Definitely check it out to find your own favorites. For you nerds out there, they have street fighter to play for free downstairs.

This place is a freaking gem. The food is amazing & fresh & you can get a mixed plate to try a lot of different things. The cocktails are delicious and special. The outdoor area is cute and the service was just what you'd want. I couldn't recommend it more. Go, it's delightful.

Parking can be a wee bit tricky so waking, ride share, or public transit will be your best options. But if you have to drive we found a paid lot a few blocks away While this wasn't the best tiki bar we've ever been to, it did stand out for the presentation of drinks, the cool (and massive) octopus, the immersion, and overall vibe is nice and atmospheric They have four non-alcoholic options which I really appreciated as the one driving for the night! They also have standard as well as unique takes on tiki drinks. We were surprised to find so many options with vodka and tequila which isn't common in a more traditional tiki bar We had the: - "Kiki Premier Mai Tai" which wasn't as rum forward as we would have thought, especially given how many rums it had in it; but overall it was a classic style Mai Tai and tasty with quality rums - "One Eyed Willy" which has a fun presentation in a chest with smoking dry ice. This one you could taste the rum more and overall it was a really enjoyable drink and experience - "See A Light" which is a non-alcoholic option and the taste was just as good as the presentation. Came in a lovely angler fish tiki mug with the light and everything! The taste was complex and something that thought went into creating - "Four Boys" another non-alcoholic option that was the coolest visual as it came in a "steaming" crock pot. The taste was very unexpected, in a good way, and is a drink I would get again Overall the drinks were about a 4/5 but with the charming atmosphere and whimsical presentation it's a 5 star experience that is just fun

First and foremost, you need to make a reservation. I did end up needing to move my reservation up because of scheduling but it worked out and the staff were really nice about helping me. This is a speakeasy inside Rumba, I did not know that going in. It's incredibly cool to walk into the bar. The decor is amazing. It's super small though with a few tables and bar seating. It was kinda loud when I was there since most tables were filled. My server was nice as well and was able to answer all my questions. Ambiance was exceptional and is such a cool place to visit. Most of the cocktails came with fancy show of some sort and were extravagant - and equally delicious. I got The Inside Passage, but there were at least three others I was trying to chose from. There was a lot of thought that went into the presentation of each of the drinks and I love that attention to detail. Since it was around dinner time I did want to order food and drink. They did not have the Kikisoba (they ran out) and that made me sad, but I was able to order the Rumba sliders and a basket of fries. I'm not a huge sliders fan, and I did order the caramelized pineapple on the side. The sliders were incredibly flavorful and the perfect size. For anyone wanting to visit Seattle, I do highly recommend this place. It's a really cool vibe and the food is really good too.
