We submitted vaccine information for our dog a week before our trip and asked to review and let us know if anything was needed. Turns out he needed 1 that expired end of July. They had a week to let us know but we found out the night before our trip with no time to get him vaccinated. Thanks for nothing Bark Park. read more

We boarded our dog here for a week. It was her first time ever being boarded, so we were nervous of course! Yet, we had a great experience here and will bring her back when we need boarding next. First off, prices for boarding in San Diego are ridiculous. This spot is more than reasonable - so much so that I was worried quality might suffer. That is not the case! We paid to have her be in the doggy clubhouse where she could roam during the day with other small dogs. They do a brief temperament test and there's cameras as well. I overall felt like my dog would be safe there. They also accommodated our request to separate her at night (she gets grumpy when she's tired), so I appreciated that. They allow you to bring in your own food and belongings for your dog to help them feel at home. They offer grooming as well if you want your doggy to get a bath before coming home! The staff is very friendly and they are clearly animal lovers. The location itself was very clean/tidy. The cameras were a little glitchy, but I enjoyed getting to check up on my dog every once in awhile. Given that it was her first time boarding, she was a bit dramatic about eating. However, the staff was patient with her and will add broth to their food free of charge to encourage them to eat. All in all, we had a solid experience and will bring our pooch back! read more

My husband and I went out of town a lot last year and and we needed a place for my very feisty Chihuahua mix to stay. We landed on Bark Park simply because it was close to home. Our dog loved to go there! They do a great job and he has always been happy and healthy when we return. The team of people that work there are all great with animals, and I'm grateful to them for their care as well as their quick but thorough check-ins and check-outs. Highly recommended! read more

My dogs love going to Bark Park. I have 4 dogs and they take such good care of them. I'll also add that they have the cleanest facility I've even seen anywhere when it comes to animal boarding. They send pictures they take with the dogs and spend time playing with them. They're very thorough with documentation and keeping notes to share with owners. read more

We have been bringing our two dogs to Bark Park for over a year. This is a WONDERFUL place to board your dogs at an affordable price! The staff are so personable and friendly ( shout out to Karen :) ) and have treated our pups like they were their own. They are very flexible and have kept up us up to date on what the dogs are doing, etc. on Instagram anytime we have messaged them. We live downtown, and it is an easy 15-minute drive. Highest recommendation from us ...Chip and Bear too ;) read more

We boarded our pup Odin for the first time. I was anxious because we never left him alone. The staff (especially Lindsey and Kassee) was very professional and provided updates and pictures. They went above and beyond to stick to his usual routine with treats, playtime games, and feeding regime. They even washed his bedding for us. Thank you, we look forward to seeing you all soon! read more

This place is amazing! I have been taking my pup since they first opened. They are always warm, caring, and treat my girl like family. my pup looks forward to going and we always have the most pleasant interactions. Great pricing too! read more

My pup has a fear of new places and new people, especially on leash. He lacks confidence. He usually takes awhile to warm up and stop barking. When I first brought him to board at the bark park, I was nervous because he was barking when I brought him in. It's a little embarrassing for me but I was so confident he would be fine once he was warmed up. The girl at the front didn't make me feel bad for his behavior which is something that happens with us almost always everywhere. She reassured me that he's only a puppy still. My pup loved it here, she showed me pictures of him playing with the other dogs and how he made friends with another pup around his age. I was nervous leaving him at new place. However, I was happy to see the photos of his stay. Having more photos while I'm away would be perfect! Thank you Bark Park. read more

Really nice place to leave your pups while out of town. The prices are reasonable and my dogs always leave there smelling good and in a good mood! They do a terrific job keeping their Instagram updated to see your dogs while you're gone. read more

My dogs love coming here! I'm always nervous leaving my dogs anywhere because one of them has terrible separation anxiety, but he never has any problems at Bark Park. Both of my dogs are always excited when we drop them off, and they are happy and clean when we pick them up. The prices are very affordable, they have a couple different options, and they also have a few cleaning services they provide before you pick them up. This is my favorite place to board our dogs, I won't take them anywhere else! read more

Karen was very helpful at helping us fulfill the requirements needed last minute. Although the process was very easy for us and the prices are very reasonable, our pet seemed very tired after we picked him up today (and still does) - he's been sleeping since we picked him up around lunch time. My partner said there was a mention about other dogs who were barking all night long, so I'm not sure if this had anything to do with it. They also did not have a choice for indoor boarding for dogs who are not dog friendly. read more

My Kiki loves coming here. The prices are affordable and the staff is always friendly. It's also convenient if you need to pick up on a Sunday. read more

recently boarded both my jackrussell mix and staffy at this facility. My dogs are always tired after boarding and all the playtime they get when boarding. Staff is very professional and they are very polite. read more

We have brought our dog Rocco here twice! And we love it!! He loves it! Very flexible with drop off and pick up!!! They even allow us to extend the stay if we sent back in time to pick him up!! My wife and I love Bark Park. We were so nervous leaving our puppy Bruno, but after the first day we knew we had made the right choice. Bruno loves going. He jumps right out of the car and runs up to the door. The staff there is wonderful. Karen and Camille take such good care of him like he was their own. Karen has brought her pup Piper to play with Bruno. He loves her. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our baby. read more

I've used Bark Park 6 times during my 2 year stay in San Diego (Navy) for my Rottie and my Pug...every time I drive the dogs to stay there for boarding, their tails go wagging like crazy! Prices are good, place is always clean, and my dogs love it there. They have never had a problem, and always come home clean. The location may throw you off a little, but it's perfect location for me, and very secure. I will always remember Bark Park as making me feel at ease when I have to leave my babes behind. read more

I'm pretty happy with this place. I have used them twice (soon to be three) to board my German Shepherds. Their first time they were here for 8 days, the second time it was for 4. I didn't have to mention the discount for the free night when I tried them out for the first time. Everyone I have encountered there so far seems very friendly and good at handling my 80 lb dogs. I have noticed that getting a hold of them is hard sometimes, but I usually call about half hour into their drop off/pick up times and don't have any issue getting through. I called today to board them a third time and they were able to book super last minute! (I drop them off tomorrow) The place itself may not be the prettiest, but it's kept clean. The kennels seem big enough for the dogs to walk around and play. They even allow both of my dogs to stay together which is great considering they're pretty much attached to the hip. They also allow you to take toys for your dogs to play with so we always make sure to take our dogs' favorite toys. Whenever I've picked them up, the dogs are clean and happy. The biggest test this place passes is that when my dogs arrived the second time, they arrived wagging their tails. They're usually pretty shy and they were super excited to be there-- even wanted to run straight to the back. I feel like they would let me know if they felt distressed. Yeah, it's not one of those luxury cage free dog camps with doggy pools and endless playtime but it's also only $20/night. You can't beat that. I'd continue leaving my dogs here. read more

I cannot be more happy about the service they provided my dog! I was very nervous about boarding my dog as she is very anxious around new people and environments. However, after speaking with the staff and the whole check-in process, I was relieved. They seem to genuinely care about the animals in their care and were very open and upfront about fees. Their prices are very reasonable and their service is amazing. When I went to pick up my dog, I was happy to hear she did well and was happy to see that the staff seemed to enjoy their time with my dog. I would 100% recommend Bark Park and will definitely be using them to board my dog in the future! read more

We boarded our dog Winnie here for 2 weeks and it was the best choice! We were nervous because we had a bad experience with boarding in the past at another facility. We were able to watch our dog on the camera which was a great feature that made us feel a lot better. She seemed to be happy the whole time and looked like she had a lot of fun! The staff seemed to really care about the dogs and I appreciated that every time we called, they were able to give us a detailed update. Winnie came home happy and relaxed! We will definitely be using Bark Park again if we ever need to board her! read more

I'm really happy with the experience here. Our dog loves being there. We did classic boarding. The kennel is large and outside, our dog prefers to be outside so it's a great fit for us. The pricing is very reasonable. read more

Recently toured BarkPark with my daughter. I was totally blown away by the attention to detail this company puts into their facility. FIRST CLASS. You can tell they love animals and work so hard at keeping them happy, healthy and SAFE. If you have to be away from your fur babies, BarkPark needs to be their "home away from home". read more

We had been using Bark Park for several years, for pretty much the life of our now senior dog. The last and final issue we had with the Bark Park facility, first off, when we picked him up, he smelled like wet dog and urine, even though we had requested a bath on the last day, and when we touched his fur, there was an odd odor, indicating they hadn't even seemed to take him out of his pen and at least clean the pen the entire week??? He was filthy and that was disgusting. This dog is pampered and is use to being very clean and will not step in or touch his feces. On top of that, we have always requested/paid for individual play/out door times, but when we picked him up, he had random scratches/ bite marks all over him, and a red sore spot under his chin, not that he rubbed it, but indicating he had been treated badly by another dog and/or staff. We seriously believe he had been in a fight. When we shared our concerns with the one who was claiming to be the "owner" , she simply was very argumentative and actually tried to blame everything on our dog's behavior. So, I had specifically said, "I don't understand what could have happened, because we had requested to have individual play/outdoor times. Is there any sort of video surveillance so we can maybe see what could have happened?" To this, I was told, "You get what you pay for. If you want high quality care, then maybe you need to find some place else." and then she hung-up the phone! What?!? Since then, we have received two different stories as to what happened, each story is completely different. However, we never received any direct answer to our question. Ultimately, we did take him to the 24-Hour Pet Urgent Care, and was told "It would appear as though he has been in some degree of a fight." To top it all off, they called us on the last day of his stay saying, "He hasn't been eating!" When we asked how many days this had gone on, they replied, "Well, all week" -- So why are you calling me on the last day then??? That's crazy, and /not/ what we paid for. We will /not/ be returning. We decided to not pursue on a legal level and 1. either not board him at all or 2. look for other options. read more

Awesome, friendly staff! I was referred to Bark Park by another boarding place while searching dor boarding for my English Bull Terrier last minute. Everyone I dealt was was extremely helpful and friendly, and made me feel comfortable about leaving my dog with them. My dog also seemed to have a great time, he didn't want to leave! read more

Took my Beagle (Sambo) there on Friday evening for 2 nights. As usual the care was good, the price reasonable (they have 2 rates, indoor and outdoor, we usually spring for indoor since he doesn't spend the night alone outside at home). They give him a bath and trim his nails (extra charge but worth it). The first time we took him there he was a bit apprehensive, now when we pull up to the place he's excited as all get out to get in there and have some fun! He sleeps like a log when he gets home. Nice people, good place to board your dogs! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! I took my dog, Charlie, here for three nights while we were out of town. I paid for him to be in the inside, community-style dog area. He is a pointer and dane mix, who commonly gets confused for being pitbull upon first glance. When I dropped him off, they informed me that they "don't allow pitbull dogs to be in areas with other dogs." I informed them that he was NOT a pitbull, proven by the paperwork I brought, and they reluctantly let him be in the common area. The evening before pickup, I was finally able to get a hold of someone to ask how he was doing. They told me that earlier that morning, he had gotten into a "confrontation" with another dog, where he had "attacked" another dog and left a cut on the other dog's ear. They stated that they were not there when it started, so they did not know what happened. So, they ASSUMED my dog was the aggressor, since he was the unharmed one. My dog is THE nicest dog ever, and has only ever had an issue when another dog attacked him. That was the end of the conversation, and I picked him up the next day. When I picked him up, I asked to go with her to get him. Where was my dog? In the inside boarding for which I had paid? NOOOO. My dog was in the outdoor, pound-style, chain-link kennels. They had apparently decided that MY dog needed to be separated after the incident, but failed to inform me. SO, my INDOOR dog slept outside in 35 degree weather. This is unacceptable. My dog came home with a hoarse voice, so it is apparent he barked ALL day and night, attempting to communicate with him, as he did not know why he was locked up. He is also walking like his hips are sore, probably since he has dane hips and was left to sleep in the cold, or because he was caged up for hours. The poor communication, poor management, and average facilities will make me never bring my dog there again, and tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Horrible, heinous, and negligent service. read more

We have used Bark Park several times and have always been pretty happy with our experience. However, this last time was an exception. All was fine until pickup. We were out of town and got to Bark Park for pickup just before 6pm when they closed. I was super stressed about getting there in time as there was heavy traffic. When I arrived, it was very clear to me that the staff were annoyed that we got there right before closing. One of the women told me I was lucky I didn't get there 5 minutes later because nobody would have been there, and the other woman was obviously irritated and eager to leave. Extremely poor customer service, and I will be looking for other options the next time we need to board our dog. read more

I just got my dog back from an 11-night stay here, and was very impressed with the entire experience. I booked his stay just a few days ahead of time, and even though it was during the holiday season, they were able to fit him in. I didn't even have to mention the "give us a try deal" mentioned above- they automatically gave it to me when they found out I'd never been there before. They also don't discriminate against ANY breed of dog (unlike some kennels around here), so I didn't have to hide the fact that my dog is part pit bull. When I arrived, I was a bit skeptical, as the place is practically under the highway and looks tiny from the front. But I was allowed to accompany Reef back to his run, and saw that they actually have a fair amount of room and that everything is kept very clean. All the (outdoor) runs are huge (4 x 12 feet) and have their own doghouses with bedding. The rates are quite reasonable ($20 a night for a large dog), and they charge by the night, which means you don't get charged for an extra day if you can't pick up your pet at the crack of dawn. I sprang for the extra playtimes at $4 a session. Every employee I encountered was friendly, helpful, and seemed to be knowledgeable about dogs. Also, this was the first time I've ever had a dog come home from the kennel not smelling terrible and needing an immediate bath! I highly recommend Bark Park and will take my dog there again in the future. read more

GREAT experience...both here and at the sister facility SPRING CREEK.

I've brought my dog here to board a handful of times. Sometimes for a few days, sometimes for a few weeks. He stays in the outdoor kennels because he does not get along well with others. Kim takes very good care of him and he's in good spirits every time I pick him up. Very reasonably priced and open Sundays. Their sister kennel, Spring Creek Kennel & Cattery, has more spacious accommodations for cats, so if you have a cat check them first. I love my dog, but he is not my "fur baby" or "practice child". I have an actual child. He doesn't need pedicures or massages or play dates or 24/7 butler service while I'm away. Point being, Bark Park provides a simple, clean boarding environment with a caring staff at an affordable rate. My dog is happy and so am I. read more

Bark Park is absolutely amazing! The staff is amazing! Lindsey, the manager, is so friendly! We have boarded our dog here and have made this place and their sister store our dogs only place to get groomed. The facility is a little on the smaller end, but nonetheless it's very clean! I feel extremely comfortable with my dog being there. I haven't had much interaction with the other staff, but the little interaction I have had they have been really nice. The price point on all their grooming services is probably the best I've ever seen. Super affordable! Every boarding prices are great! When we boarded our dog we sent her off with her bed and her favorite lamb chop and upon return Lindsey had said they washed her bed and lamb chop. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs to have their dog boarded and groomed! Best part about this place is they are open on sundays too!!! thanks to the Bark Park team for being amazing and taking care of our Roxy when in need! read more

Took my dog Lucky there while we were away for Christmas and New Year's eve. He was there for approximately 11 days. They took such great care of him! He had a lot of playtime and I was given updates and pictures that were sent to me by my phone along with following them on Facebook and Instagram. I would definitely recommend bark Park. It's a very safe and fun place for your pet. I will definitely take any of my pets there to bark Park. Thanks again for taking care of my Lucky!! read more

Absolute best choice I made to board my dogs! I had never had to board my two pups before, and was pretty nervous because they're both pretty anxious and attached. My chihuahua in particular is skeptical of pretty much everyone/everything. But the moment I walked into Bark Park I knew it wasn't like most other boarding places I toured. Lindsey was so friendly and knowledgeable and I could tell immediately how much she cared for all the animals there. She knew them all by name and even knew details of many of them (activity level, what they like, don't like, etc). She assured me that my anxious pups would be in good hands. She also showed me that they have cameras in the doggy day camp area that I'd be able to check 24/7. When I came to pick up my pups, another woman was working (sadly I didn't get her name) but she was also very friendly and helpful and I could tell my pups and others were very fond of her. They also sent me pics and posted a couple of videos on their Instagram so I could see my babies having a good time. I live about 25 mins away and have numerous other boarding facilities much closer, but I'm so impressed and know that if I ever need to board my babies again, there is no question this is where I'll take them. It was absolutely worth the drive! read more

From the moment I called to picking up my dog, our experience was extremely positive. The facility is super cute and you have a choice to place your dog in the Clubhouse or private run. I left my dog here recently for the first time for a two week stay. She was so happy whenever I would check in on her.. I loved being able to watch her on the live feed cameras. My family's biggest hesitation with adopting a dog was worrying about where she would stay when we traveled back east. Now that we found bark park I feel much more at ease leaving her knowing she's happy, having fun and in good hands. Their rates are very reasonable, but I don't feel we are sacrificing any quality compared to more expensive "chain" options that are much farther from our house. I like the social media updates so we can check in on her. Our puppy came home after over a week in the "big dog gym" happy, clean, healthy and exhausted and we can't really ask for more than that! read more
