Cece has been grooming my dogs for over 20 years. She is very knowledgeable about the different breeds and proper cuts. My dogs have always come back with great cuts, nails trimmed, ears cleaned out, anal glands expressed. I've had nervous dogs, happy dogs and everything in between. All my dogs wag their tails and are happy when we pull up. I trust Cece!

Been going to CECE for years - Raven adores her and always looks amazing when she is done. I tried for years to get groomers to leave her eyelashes long - CECE nailed it the first time!

Boba's new 'do. (Got a little wet from the rain, but still super cute!)

Our pup, Boba, stayed with Cece for a few days while we went out of town. She took such great care of her and sent us updates and pictures throughout the day, each day. Cece treated Boba as her own, and I never felt like I had to worry because we could clearly see that Boba was well cared for at Cece's. She answered every question I had before and during Boba's stay. We were also able to book a full groom while Boba stayed with Cece. She asked questions and allowed me to clarify exactly what I wanted (which goes way beyond what many other groomers do). The price, quality, and service really are unbeatable. I highly recommend her services and we're so glad to have found someone Boba can stay with so we can be worry-free on our trips.

It has been awhile since our girl dog Bella has gone to a professional groomer. She is a medium sized short haired breed. So grooming her at home isn't too difficult. We wanted to spoil her though; so we took her to Practical Cuts . Glad we did. Contacting Practical Cuts by phone. I text chatted with Cece the owner and operator. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. We had a great back and forth. She was also very flexible appointment wise. So I made a time for her to see my Bella in a few days. Practical Cuts, the business itself, is in a modest residential area. Cece does all the work from her own home with all the essential equipment to groom pets. The setup is actually pretty impressive. Upon meeting Cece. You can tell she loves what she does and loves animals. The best part is that Cece does quality work. She had our dog looking the best she ever has (coat, nails, ears, etc.) and at a reasonable fee. Cece is awesome. Support local business especially the good ones. Practical Cuts is great. Bring your pet here.

Cece took the super cute "after" picture on the right =)

Very happy with the service provided and final result for my little terrier mix. I was able to get a grooming estimate and schedule my appointment all via text. Cece was very professional and came to greet me as soon as I pulled up the house. She showed me where my dog would be groomed and said in the future she could do "curbside pickup" to save time. The quality of the cut was just as good as any groomer running out of a storefront and the price was significantly lower, plus she was done in a fraction of the time. I think I found a new groomer!

Cece has groomed my dogs for several years and I won't even consider letting anyone else groom them. Cece came into my life after I posted a rant and photo of the burns and nicks on my pups that the groomer was unconcerned over. Cece promised to never be that way. My pups love her. They come home with a beautiful clip and they are never in pain. Cece goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure the safety and comfort of her clients, and that makes all the difference in the world. If you want your pups CARED for, Cece is your groomer of cho

By far the most knowledgeable and AMAZING groomer I've had YET!! My Lhasa didn't take to well with the 2nd groomer she had and well, since then we had to get her sedated before even going to a groomer it was very hard to find one that would take her. And then came Cece....I wish I went to her first! I would've saved all this trouble and heartache for my pup as well as money. She's reasonably priced, she does an amazing job, and my babygirl came out smiling after her groom. Something she's NEVER done before. She also keeps me updated throughout the groom because I'm a ball of nerves not for my pup, but what she might do to Cece Cece is GREAT with any of your fur babies. You won't be disappointed. Thank you so much!!

Dew claw was short already it was unnecessary to cut but too short!!!! You can see red spots all nails. Also didn't trim paws hair

I took my dogs Cece-practical cuts because my regular groomers were closed for Covid-19. After taking my dogs there, they came back so hurt they didn't eat for the rest of the day. They were hurting because she cut their nails too short and cut into the quick nail (inner nail) causing alot of bleeding and discomfort. They were also shaking and scratching their ears and body, maybe from a bad rinsing. When I checked their ears, they were turning red and bleeding from all the scratching, especially with the misshapen nails even 3 days after. When I realized all the grooming errors, I spoke to Cece and she said she needed to cut the quick nail due to its length. However, every opinion I asked afterwards says she cut way too short (5 groomers so far) Even if she thought she needed to, she didn't ask or let me know before she caused my dogs so much discomfort. She had my phone number... She even said most  customers like how she cuts nails, but ghats hard to believe seeing how much pain it's caused. I also noticed the time she took. Most groomers take 1 1/2 to 2 hours per dog. She took 45 minutes. I realized afterwards she was even scheduling for 45 minute blocks. This makes me believe she purposely didn't care for my dogs properly trying to take in as much business as she can. This woyld also explain the sloppy manner she groomed/ handled them. She also told me she needed to muzzle my dog because she had bitten her. My dog has never bitten any groomers before. She is always calm before, so if this is true then its proof of how poorly she treated my dogs. She claims she's been grooming for 19 years. If so, then how does she seem to lack basic skills needed for grooming? Even interactions with her were unproffesional and unreasonable. If you care for your dogs, please for their sake don't take them here. They will be treated in a brutish and uncompassionate manner. As you can see her response to my review is a complete lie. Proof of how she treated my dogs are in the pictures! Clearly this is no longer a conversation. She is adding misinformation to confuse the situation. The pictures and my experience has been shared. There is a reason my review is not the only negative review about her care of dogs.

CeCe LOVES dogs. She does a superb job grooming and/or onboarding our fur babies. I got a few outfits for my Chihuahua from CeCe, my favorite one is the bomber one...I would recommend Practical Cuts to everybody!

Our 4 month old puppy, Atlas, had a rough start at life and I was so worried he would lose so much of his progress if we went away, but Mia stepped in and helped out so much with his training and care! He came back such a great walker with good habits and better manners with other pups and people. I met with Mia before deciding to do the board and train and she was so detailed and knowledgeable. It made me feel very comfortable with her and Atlas. We discussed in detail his current training, my goals, and concerns and worries I had, etc. She was very thorough and made sure to keep us updated on his progress while we were away. Now that I no longer live in my old place or in the area, I feel more comfortable writing this…read more Jeremy walked my dog for a few months after I moved to San Diego. He did a fine job, and I didn't have any major issues. My only issue in the beginning was that he told me AFTER our meet and greet that the time clock for walks starts when he walks into the building. I showed him the entrance closer to my place (which is right by the entrance), but he wasn't using that one at first. While I had wished that he communicated this during our meet and greet, I wasn't upset by it after we had established a steady routine. A few weeks/months after I settled into my new job, I had been granted the ability to work from home full time with a few occasional sporadic days in the office. I texted him to tell him that I won't need a walker after a certain date and explained that I'll be WFH. I even told him that I'd still like to reach out on days I'd have to be in-office. Later that day, he called to "ask" me what he did wrong. His tone was extremely confrontational and aggressive. I reiterated that I don't need a walker anymore because my situation had changed. He kept demanding an explanation. Honestly, I felt really put off by this. I had to tell him several times that it's because the situation had changed and it took multiple attempts to get him off the phone. He kept trying to push me because he didn't seem to believe me. Honestly, I don't care if he did. Before this conversation, I probably would have asked him to walk my dog on the days that I'd be in the office, but this made me so uncomfortable. Over the period of several months, he occasionally texted and/or called to ask me if we had any dog walking needs. I didn't answer, but eventually texted him to tell him that we did not. I understand his wanting a "reason" to try to improve. However, I gave him a reason. And even if I didn't, I don't necessarily owe him one to the point where he has to demand one repeatedly.

Having Jeremy as our Wedding Chaperone was amazing!…read more We have two large dogs who many describe as "hard to handle, quirky and different". This always makes me nervous when choosing anyone to work with them. Jeremy is actually the only person I am comfortable choosing when it comes to caring for my dogs. Especially my older dog who displays reactive behavior while on leash. Jeremy knows exactly how to handle my dogs, and keeps them calm and happy! This is why it was an easy choice to ask him to act as our Wedding Chaperone for the dogs on our wedding day! The dogs had a big job of walking down the aisle and I was so nervous how they would react before and after the ceremony. Because of his help they did AMAZING! What made this service so special is that 1) Jeremy is very professional and thoughtful and came dressed ceremony ready. 2) He took a lot of time and was very intentional about making sure the dogs were comfortable. 3) He made sure the dogs had everything they needed at all times! He even called ahead of time asking if he should print a pop up tent to shield them from the sun! So so thoughtful! 4) He was a lifesaver during family photos and helped get the dogs posed!! An IMPOSSIBLE task! But he made it happen! 5) When it was time to say goodbye he reviewed the dog's nighttime routine with us and I knew they were in great hands! So I could relax for the rest of my wedding! He brought them home, walked them, fed them and kept us up to date on everything we needed to know! In summary, Jeremy really helped make this day special for us. We couldn't have picked a better person to care for our dogs and make the dream of the dogs being present a reality!! For anyone who wants to involve their dogs in their special day or any other special events, I highly recommend using him for your event! It gives you the peace of mind to enjoy yourself while knowing your precious cargo is well cared for! Prices were fair, communication is outstanding, response time is prompt! And quality of care is unmatched! I'm a VERY happy dog mom!
