This owner is incredibly rude and asked if I was an antivaxxer as I literally was asking which vaccines my new puppy needs...
    Jules F.

Ummm what? I just had the strangest interaction when I was asking about daycare for my puppy. I told the owner that my brand new puppy was still getting his vaccines (3 months old, still on 2nd shot of Parvo since you have to wait for all the doses). He asked if I'm an antivaxxer and if I believe in human covid. Like I'm literally trying to explain which vaccines I'm getting for my own dog and then he wanted to know about my history and if I'm vaccinated - which I am, but my medical history is absolutely none of his business. What a strange and aggressive interaction for absolutely no reason. He got all bent out of shape for literally no reason. I would never send my dog here based on this, but to each their own. Looks like some people love this place and some do not. Note: as a business owner, you should probably at least keep your private views to yourself, or keep it out of the 1st conversation, especially when you're not even listening to the customer. Good luck! (EDIT to add insight into the owner's response): Look at the owner's comment below mine (and all the other poor reviews). Wow. Awful business owner who needs to be petty and argue against their poor reviews. Maybe google "soft skills" and respond politely or with insight rather than trying to come out as the winner of a perceived argument. Or check out my other 98%+ 4 and 5-star reviews since I love being on Yelp! and helping people find really great places, which yours certainly is not. How rude. Also, the crazy thing is you take screenshots these days. Attached is our actual conversation where you ask us if we're anti-vaxxers out of nowhere, as we're literally asking which vaccines you require and telling which ones we have (Liza is my fiance and we're both reaching out to find doggy day care, for reference). Maybe be kind next time before belittling good customers you haven't even met yet. We're super nice unless you start insulting us for no reason. And when someone leaves you a negative review, just accept it as an expensive lesson in how to run your business better.

My dog Charlie has been going on park visits with Jon for over 5 years and always comes back happy. Jon is incredibly easy to work with and has always been available on short notice to watch my dog when I had to go out of town. I especially appreciate how he posts videos every day on Instagram so I can see how my pup is doing. I would highly recommend!

He's still extra energetic, but when we've had to get control, his training is key. He also got injured playing and had to undergo a major knee surgery... THANK GOODNESS for the training! This was the very first time we left our 1-year-old dog with someone. He's almost 80 pounds of pure energy, a big, happy, very enthusiastic boy so choosing the right person felt incredibly important. I was anxious and very cautious about who we could trust. From day one, Sara exceeded every expectation. She didn't just "watch" our dog -- she worked with him every single day with so much passion, patience, and love. When he came home after two weeks, the difference was remarkable. He was calmer, more focused, and able to control his excitement much better. Walking him used to be a struggle -- he pulled constantly and tried to grab everything he saw on the street. Now, our walks are so much easier and more enjoyable. Of course, there's no magic in dog training -- consistency is key, and we continue to reinforce what he learned -- but his biggest issue, jumping on people, improved dramatically. The foundation she built made such a difference. What also gave us tremendous peace of mind was her communication. Sara sent frequent updates, photos, and videos showing us what he was learning and how he was doing. On top of that, we received detailed daily emails about his overall condition. It made us feel completely reassured that we had chosen the right person. She even gave him several baths during his stay! Her place is incredible , very secure, spacious, and extremely dog-friendly. It honestly felt like a big farm where dogs can feel free yet safe. Sara is truly passionate, caring, and loving. Her knowledge of different breeds and her training methods are impressive and effective. You can clearly see that she genuinely loves what she does. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any dog owner, no matter the age or breed. Leaving your dog with someone for the first time is never easy, but with Sara, you can feel confident your dog is in the best possible hands.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my life revolves around that little spaniel mix. We had a weekend-long celebration with her doggy group, cake and presents at home, and we wanted another outing... so we checked out Pure Pawsh. Pure Pawsh is sort of an all-around doggie playground. They have a gate when you walk in, so it is fully off-leash if you would like. When we walked in, we were asked if we were there for trivia. Apparently there was dog-themed trivia from the French Bulldog rescue. Despite having no idea there was dog trivia, we contributed to the rescue and decided to participate. Amelia tried a dog beer (chicken broth with a few treats on top), but it wasn't her favorite. Luckily, they also had peanut banana doggy ice cream which she devoured. I enjoyed a hard kombucha to start.. Later, my husband and I both enjoyed some local Bivouac Cider. They also serve some beer and wine, and very light snacks. You are welcome to bring your own food. I saw several people had ordered Sister's Pizza from across the street. We had fun playing along with the dog trivia. I thought I knew a ton about dogs, but I guess not so much compared to the rescue people, as we didn't even place in the top three teams. However, it was fun and it was to raise money for the rescue. Amelia enjoyed socializing with other dogs, but, even more, getting lots of attention and treats. It's always great to see her so happy! If I lived in the neighborhood, I would be there each week. I'm sure we will return to Pure Pawsh.

I'll preface my review by saying that the only unfavorable thing I have to say is about the parking, which is understandable because it's in North Park. It can be difficult to find street parking although there are pay lots scattered around. This is such a cute cozy place that offers many different services, including a store, grooming, event space and nice place to hang out with your furry friend. The outdoor and indoor seating is a plus and is great for people/dog watching since it's right on 30th st. Comfy couches and other areas to sit along with a bar with both humans and dog beverages really adds. It's also nice that they allow outside food and there's a lot of restaurants to choose from within a few blocks. The music bingo event itself was unique and fun and everyone had a great time (not to mention some pretty cool prizes!) I also met the owner who was so nice and helpful and love that she brings her own dogs to the shop. I will definitely be back!
