We left our pup Roscoe with Amberlynn while visiting San Diego, including an overnight trip. Roscoe loved his time at Happy Tails and Amberlynn was attentive and responsive. It can be a little scary leaving your pup with someone you've just met, but Amberlynn put us at ease. We especially appreciated the photo and video updates of our happy pup. It's clear that Amberlynn loves animals and is concerned with operating an attentive and well-run business.

I've taken my dog Lucy to Amberlyn multiple times and I couldn't trust anyone more. She treats her like her own and goes over and above every time. Her prices are extremely affordable for the one on one care you receive. I also love the little report card she includes after every visit! Definitely recommend!

I'm thankful for finding Happy Tails for my little boy Melo! Thank you Amber for babying my boy like he was one of your own. - Passionate about her job - Very professional - Experienced - Excellent Service I highly recommend Happy Tails to any dog parent.

It's fine, the photos just make it look INSANELY nice. There have been multiple times we looked at the camera and the person that is supposed to be playing with them is just walking back and forth ignoring them all. Then I'm told she doesn't do well in all day play. so they put her in day stay (in a kennel all day except for 2 one hour play sessions). I didn't realize no one was with her in that time. She tried to escape and even came home with bloody paws from pawing at the door. so we said let's do all day play again! so she'll be with someone all day. then i pick her up the next day and they tell me they had no idea and put her back in day stay on my first boarding night, i included her sensitive stomach treats from the vet. THEY GAVE HER THE ENTIRE BAG for 2 nights and had no clue what happened when i picked her up and asked about it. again, they made up an excuse to play it off. from a boarding night, we picked her up and they gave her NONE of her food and blew it off like she's ok. i even had told them the food is sensitive stomach and has her supplements in it (she's 12). they gave her their own food filled with all of these ingredients the first night and of course she was nauseous for the next meal and didn't eat it. i even asked them for the ingredient list. SHE LEFT WITH BLOODY DIARRHEA FOR 2 DAYS, until I was able to treat her with medicine at the vet. They assured me she had firm stool and she was fine because "no notes is good notes" i swear i heard that every day when i ask how the day went. i think we've hit our final straw after the last boarding night. i usually don't make bad reviews but wanted to educate ppl if they have older dogs or strict diet dogs!!

What I especially like about Canines Unleashed is that on Fourth of July they play music to block out the fireworks, and the team members have beds directly in the area where they board the animals so that they are close by them.

The only reason for stars taken off is because my dog has come back home TWICE with worm related parasite illnesses. When I confronted them, they tried to assure me that the place is cleaned thoroughly. I attempted to let them know how the diseases are transmitted (as I work in veterinary medicine), but they only assured me they cleaned the area. Since there are cameras, it is apparent that they clean at the end of the day, but not fully when a dog pees or poops. This is how they are transmitted. They do not require your dog to be on any prevention either, which could also attribute to it since unfortunately some do not have their animals on prevention. I am so sad because a lot of the employees were so sweet to my girl and she always had a blast! :(

They even have "dog beers" you can get for your dog that are different types of broths w little treats plopped in so you can enjoy a "beer" w your pup! They also host lots of super cute events! From Watch parties for different sports to treat making classes to happy hour to name a few! It seems like they have an event/special everyday that they're open and they post events on their social media and website to sign up! I went to the one they had with oorahbayart where she was hand drawing pet portraits for a fee! She got so busy that she wasn't able to complete them all at the event but was able to mail them to us after! My corgi is a big fan of their homemade treat station where you can get treats in a bag by the pound! They have some super interesting ones like this one with mussels in it I think? That I've never heard of! Then they have more traditional ones like peanut butter etc! All ingredients are listed on each one so if you're on the lookout for allergies that makes it easy! There's a rawhide section priced by the piece and she's a huge fan of the chicken feet! For birthdays they have pup-cakes and ice cream in their fridge near the front and I saw a flyer that you could even host a dog birthday here which would be super cute!! If you're looking for a bar to bring your pup with you to then I would definitely recommend this one!

DOG THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY (4.5 stars)…read more Like I've said in the previous review... this is a dog place that's human-friendly. My dog and I and our dog friend group love coming here to just hang out, attend random human/dog events, and now have birthday parties here. PARTY-TIME My fur.baby turned 2 (but her first bday with me). I wanted it to be memorable. My previous pom wasn't very social. My newest fur.baby Pom is extremely social and all the things I wanted to do for my previous Pom I can do for this dog. So, I went all out. Reserved space here for the party - it's a 2 hr window (they have different tier packages to select from). I went with reserving the outdoor patio, will bring my own decor, my own everything,, and order catering food. If you want, they can provide decor, good bags, etc. THINGS TO KNOW: - No provided parking so keep that in mind when lugging all your belongings and during the event. - Bring fly fans. I brought 1 but should have brought 2-3 for the table. So many flies around. - Be quick when setting up and breaking down. There could be a party before you and or after you. BUY LOCAL I like to encourage my guest to buy from the place. While I brought in catered food, we couldn't bring outside drinks and you can purchase non alcoholic beverages, beer, etc. when you are there. My dog's party I had gift bags with party favors and I bought a lot of treats from the dog bar and served them at the party for the dogs. Also, while we ate the catered food, the dogs had dog cupcakes (bought elsewhere) and dog margaritas (bought a bottle there) and poured it into little cups I brought for the party. This place is so cool to have a dog menu, dog treat bar, and a dog bar serving dog beer and dog margaritas. My dog and her fur.friends and their human companions had a great time.
