I don't know what they do to these dogs all day, but my little maltipoo rushes that gate every time we return! He can barely contain himself once he realizes we're back for more fun! At other daycares, he suction cups his feet to the ground as soon as they try to take him back, which always broke my heart. Not here though! He can't wait to leave me! Haha...The staff could not be any kinder and clearly my dog feels safe and secure in their hands. I even participated in the mobile teeth cleaning that came through a few months ago, and that was a success too. I know their prices can be a touch above the average for the area, but I think the more personal environment they curate makes it worth it. Their report cards are also the stuff of legends! That $2 extra is worth it people! My only critique, is that, for where they're located, I'm surprised they don't offer a military or comparable discount. That's it. Otherwise, I will keep coming back!

Wags & Ruffs is the best doggy daycare! Our dog, Ziggy, LOVES this place which makes it so much easier when we're traveling. All of the employees treat him like their own pup which is so rare to find. I am obsessed with the daily report cards filled with personalized messages and photos. Even my friends & family don't provide me with as many updates I have recommended many people here but realized I never wrote an official review. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

I'm not sure who loves Wags & Ruffs more... me or my pup... all the tail wags when we pull up (he doesn't even say bye to me!)... and the photos and report cards... bring me pure joy. We recently moved but I will still drive across town so he can hang with his crew. Love you all!

Murphy (my husky mix) always has a blast at Wags. We are happy with the smaller play groups and although small, she comes home exhausted every time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their response time is impeccable. And the report cards that we get each visit are gold! As always, thank you for taking care of my gal!

Thank you Kim and the amazing team at Wags & Ruffs for the absolutely wonderful experience you've given my foster dogs over the years. I was referred to you through The Animal Pad (who are also a DREAM to work with!) and you've more than proven yourselves to be incredible groomers, trainers, and ... most importantly, Dog Lovers. I appreciate your generosity and care in all you do. AND ... Gary is so handsome it hurts!

Should I join in?

Teddy loves it here! He is excited when we drive near and let's everyone know he's happy to be there! He has a great time and the staff is wonderful!

After a very traumatic first-ever day care experience in the Bay Area when my dog was a puppy, it's literally taken me years to find a reliable and trustworthy place to send my pup to. My pup has separation anxiety and takes some time to warm up to new environments and the staff is always so patient and nurturing with her. I appreciate the option to add on 1:1 training or pack walks to reinforce positive behaviors -- Julia has been especially great in working with my pup. The cherry on top of our Wags and Ruffs experience is the end of day report card -- it's so rewarding to read about what my pup's been up to, the new pals she made, and that despite being anxious at drop off, she always ends up having a good time. I wouldn't trust anyone else to look after my sweet pup!

Jenny and her team are amazing! We just moved to SD and have brought our two Labs here a few times for Daycare and Boarding. You get a really cute report card with photos and a recap of how your dogs day went. You can tell the team cares about your pet and goes above and beyond to let you know if your pet is experiencing any issues. They're very proactive and communicative. We love Wags & Ruffs! Here's one of the pics they shared in our dogs' report cards :)

Wags & Ruffs is our favorite place in the world. It's our pups Disneyland! She is always eager and ready to play when she arrives and she comes home happy, and tired. Thee best combo in my opinion. The staff does an amazing job and I can tell treats all doggos equally and as if they were their own. The add-ons like basic enrichment, pack walks, 1-1 time,to name a few, are personally some of my favorites to add-on to Nori's daycare. The charcuterie board add-on is one I'm looking forward to once she turns 1 ;) Nori & 2 of my other pups have also stayed overnight and the staff has done a wonderful job on capturing photos of them while playing, sleeping, and lounging. The report cards given during daycare and boarding include photos and give you insight on how your pup does during the day/their stay. I look forward to them every time! We love Wags & Ruffs! Thank you! ‍

Do they have webcams so you can watch your pup?

Hi! We do not have web cams. We do send detailed report cards with pics (and sometimes video) of our daycare pups every day though. Check out our Instagram for some of our fun group and individual pics :)

So much in fact that Yoshi now recognizes the street they're on before we drop him off at daycare and he gets excited! Precious Pet Care checks all the marks for us: they're kind, attentive, close by (bonus points!), and they offer an extensive amount of services that are far beyond my imagination. Who knew my dog could get supervised socialization in an intimate setting, get groomed when needed, and get dropped off by their Magic Pink bus? I mean, I can't with all of this cuteness! I also appreciate that they're flexible with accommodating Yoshi, especially since our work schedules are a little crazy sometimes. Their end of day report cards are also so thoughtful and I look forward to reading them every time. There are many great doggy daycare and boarding spots to take your pets to, but Precious Pet Care is top tier and by far the happiest we've ever been with pet care services. Yoshi looks forward to many more playdates with the pack.

She is such a warm light, always going the extra mile to help out and make me feel welcome. She always gives feedback and specifics on how my dog did, which makes the whole experience feel really personal and boutique. It's honestly rare to find someone who makes that kind of impression just from front desk interactions, but she really does. Every time I see her I know my dog is in good hands. Paw Commons is lucky to have her.

Pros:The staff is very kind and friendly. Cons:The facility…read moreis set up like an animal shelter. The standard "suites" are kennels with plastic doors and are not soundproof, so dogs constantly hear other dogs barking or panicking unless you pay extra for an upgraded "suite" (similar to setups at the San Diego Humane Society). Webcams are only available in the play areas unless you pay for that upgrade, so there is no way to monitor your dog while they're in regular boarding. Playgroups are divided into "large" and "smaller" dogs, with "smaller" defined as up to 45 lbs -- something that is not clearly communicated or written on the website. I saw a golden retriever in the small dog group a one point, which raises serious concerns about how size and safety are handled. The facility is understaffed. At times, I saw one employee responsible for both kennel areas. There were piles of urine and feces left in play areas, dogs running through them, and periods where dogs were not actively supervised. The large and small dog areas face each other with only the fence to divide them, which creates unnecessary reactivity. Most concerning, my dog came home with dried urine and feces stuck to his belly and paws. When I brought it up, I was told "that happens sometimes." It took me an hour to fully bathe and brush him out due to matting from laying in urine. The kind staff unfortunately does not make up for the lack of cleanliness, supervision, and transparency issues. For a business of this size and reported revenue, these conditions for the dogs and employees are unacceptable. Update: After I posted this review, the manager, Jasmine, contacted me and claimed my dog's condition was due to "aggressive behavior." However, he was only there for two days, and no aggression was ever communicated to me or documented in his report cards. When I questioned the lack of documentation, Jasmine simply said, "Sorry about that." If his behavior had truly impacted his care, I would have expected immediate notification and written documentation -- not an explanation offered only after I raised concerns about him running into doors, stumbling, and having urine and poop all over him.

He's still extra energetic, but when we've had to get control, his training is key. He also got injured playing and had to undergo a major knee surgery... THANK GOODNESS for the training! This was the very first time we left our 1-year-old dog with someone. He's almost 80 pounds of pure energy, a big, happy, very enthusiastic boy so choosing the right person felt incredibly important. I was anxious and very cautious about who we could trust. From day one, Sara exceeded every expectation. She didn't just "watch" our dog -- she worked with him every single day with so much passion, patience, and love. When he came home after two weeks, the difference was remarkable. He was calmer, more focused, and able to control his excitement much better. Walking him used to be a struggle -- he pulled constantly and tried to grab everything he saw on the street. Now, our walks are so much easier and more enjoyable. Of course, there's no magic in dog training -- consistency is key, and we continue to reinforce what he learned -- but his biggest issue, jumping on people, improved dramatically. The foundation she built made such a difference. What also gave us tremendous peace of mind was her communication. Sara sent frequent updates, photos, and videos showing us what he was learning and how he was doing. On top of that, we received detailed daily emails about his overall condition. It made us feel completely reassured that we had chosen the right person. She even gave him several baths during his stay! Her place is incredible , very secure, spacious, and extremely dog-friendly. It honestly felt like a big farm where dogs can feel free yet safe. Sara is truly passionate, caring, and loving. Her knowledge of different breeds and her training methods are impressive and effective. You can clearly see that she genuinely loves what she does. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any dog owner, no matter the age or breed. Leaving your dog with someone for the first time is never easy, but with Sara, you can feel confident your dog is in the best possible hands.

However, this location is tucked away behind Panda Express. My first visit was to tour the facility and one of the staff and manager shared more information with us and answered all of my question - they were great. The facility itself is clean and pretty spacious, and they have an indoor/outdoor play area for the dogs. What really stood out was the initial meet and greet, with a focus on making your dog feel comfortable and assess their temperament. I felt reassured that all the dogs passed this and are properly socialized. My dog has since gone to daycare and really enjoyed himself. I was also happy that I could view him on the live webcam and they sent pictures of him smiling and playing. Great customer service and some cute well-behaved dogs here. Check them out!

I'll start by saying I had made a positive review at one point but it appears it has been removed. We had been going to Camp Bow Wow since my pup was 4months old. She was loved by all dogs and people and every time had such a great experience. We were sad when they closed after the previous owner left and were so happy when they reopened. My Beddy was a regular, went at least once a week and boarded multiple times. She was even crowned "Camper of the Month". After we moved further north, we still came about once a week. All that to say we LOVED Camp Bow Wow. I took Beddy to camp to play with her friends on her 2nd birthday in October 2025 and it was an awful experience. We have a yard so I don't need her to have space to run. I specifically took her to camp to play with her friends on her birthday. I got a text about halfway through the day, saying she had been in a "scuffle", was ok but would be rotated between yards due to her high energy. Beddy is always high energy. The team knows this and we had never had an issue. When I went to pick her up, come to find out, she was kept in a separate "yard" almost the entire day. There was no mention of her being aggressive or a danger or unmanageable and yet she was isolated almost all day. I was devastated and Beddy seemed sad when I brought her home, probably because she spent all day trying to figure out why she couldn't play but could "smell the others". Leading up to this, I had noticed lately that there were A LOT more dogs attending camp and the staff was always new/rotating. My guess is yes, my Beddy is high energy but because they are more concerned about the money/numbers, they had too many dogs to handle one that may require some redirection here and there. And my guess is she was kenneled most of the day. Not in some "extra yard" by herself. This is not ok. Especially considering how long we had been going there and had never had an issue. I asked for the owner to call me, she never did. I could understand if Beddy was having an off day, wasn't getting along with the dogs, was a threat...but when I asked if that was the case they said no. She was kept separate to make their job easier because they had too many dogs. Period. Other things to note, they use squirt bottles to redirect dogs and I once saw them pull a dog hard by the collar across the entire yard when it didn't appear there was a major issue (there was no apparent threat). These are not ways I would expect my dog to be handled. On their social media they share posts that are not from their facility which is deceiving and they never asked me for proof of updated vaccines when Beddy's expired. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a hard day, etc but after the birthday incident we have not been back and I would second guess bringing your dog here.
