Happy pup after a mid-morning outing.

I have been using Paws Play for several years now. I've leveraged their many services including park outings and taking care of my pup when out of town. The owners are super nice and very responsive. Unfortunately, due to COVID, they have scaled back staffing. I highly recommend Paws Play and if you are in need of any of their services, I urge you to give them a call.

Not sure if I can express everything I need to express in a review. We've been using Paws Play for about 5+ years now. Erik, Jessica and their team are PHENOMENAL. We are a busy household of 2 working parents, 2 kids, 2 cats, 2 dogs. We felt so guilty when our doggies didn't get enough exercise and thus had to find some help. When we first met Jessica she was so easy going and attentive to our needs and reassured us that our mini Aussies would be well cared for and loved. She kept true to her word. Whether it's Jessica, Erik or one of their outstanding team members who took our dogs out, the updates always reflected that they knew our dogs' personalities. We trusted them so much that we even used them for overnight services. It's always a good sign when you see your dogs get SUPER excited to greet them. Everyone has always been professional and helpful. As a parent with a gazillion things on my mind, one of the things I appreciated the most was when Erik/Jessica would send me an email or text to remind me about upcoming Holidays or upcoming rainy weather and asked what my preference would be for our dog care that week. I also love how they really try to be flexible - I've definitely sent a few last minute requests and they always seemed to make it work. Oh, and side note their Holiday Cards are always so cute and personalized lol. :) 5 years later it's hard for us to say goodbye as we are moving out of the area - if you are reading this I highly recommend their service. They are the type of people who you'd want to love and care for your pets when you can't yourself. Thanks for everything Erik and Jessica!

I have always been skeptical of hiring someone to take my dogs on a walk without me since my German Shepherd can be a bit of a terror with strangers. She had ZERO issues with Jess. Both of my dogs warmed up to her so fast, and they are so excited to see her when she comes over. It makes my long 12-13 hour shifts so much less stressful knowing that Jess will be around to hang out with the dogs while I'm at work. She sends me pictures of them on their walks, and even writes a little note in a daily journal to let me know how their walks went! If you're looking for someone to watch your furry children while you're away, look no further! Highly recommend!!!

Play time with bubbles. Thank you Bethany!

She didn't make a snap judgment about our 94-pound GSD-mix, which I especially appreciated given how many people assume a correlation between a dog's size and aggressive tendencies. She went the extra mile -- actually more like 2 -- to pick up the dogs from my place of work one day because I was concerned about being late for a staff meeting. And she regularly texted us photos she took of him and his little sidekick during the day -- a very thoughtful touch. Four paws up for Stockton Dogs!

I can tell that she truly loves her job & her clients; she even bought Ace dog toys to take home! We will continue to book with her every time we travel. Ace has stayed with Cruz multiple times and now when she comes to pick him up, he runs straight to her car without looking back! Cruz takes him to the coffee shop, on errands, and out on walks when we are out of town and we are truly grateful for the amount of mental and physical stimulation he gets every day he's in her care. Thanks again Stockton Dogs!

She makes sure that she is prepared for anything and everything, and documents it all with detailed notes and a checklist for your account. This is a comfort to moms and dads leaving their fur babies behind! My adorable cat Sadie is amazing to me, but not so much to strangers. However, Christine was able to work her magic to get Sadie engaged every day while we were on vacation. It is a huge relief to know that while we are gone, she isn't hiding and sleeping 24/7, sad and depressed. Sadie played with Christine, ate her wet food daily, and posed for photos to send to mom;-). Not only do I feel that Sadie was in great hands, but Christine went above and beyond to help with a few items around the house such as grabbing mail, cleaning up after Sadie's bulimic tendencies, and perhaps most importantly, feeding the outdoor cat "Blue" that we've semi-adopted in the last few months. And not only did we get daily photos and texts to update us on Sadie, we also got a few updates and photos on Blue, too! I love traveling but hate leaving Sadie. Finding Christine makes leaving my baby at home a little bit easier. Thank you, Christine!

He did a fine job, and I didn't have any major issues. My only issue in the beginning was that he told me AFTER our meet and greet that the time clock for walks starts when he walks into the building. I showed him the entrance closer to my place (which is right by the entrance), but he wasn't using that one at first. While I had wished that he communicated this during our meet and greet, I wasn't upset by it after we had established a steady routine. A few weeks/months after I settled into my new job, I had been granted the ability to work from home full time with a few occasional sporadic days in the office. I texted him to tell him that I won't need a walker after a certain date and explained that I'll be WFH. I even told him that I'd still like to reach out on days I'd have to be in-office. Later that day, he called to "ask" me what he did wrong. His tone was extremely confrontational and aggressive. I reiterated that I don't need a walker anymore because my situation had changed. He kept demanding an explanation. Honestly, I felt really put off by this. I had to tell him several times that it's because the situation had changed and it took multiple attempts to get him off the phone. He kept trying to push me because he didn't seem to believe me. Honestly, I don't care if he did. Before this conversation, I probably would have asked him to walk my dog on the days that I'd be in the office, but this made me so uncomfortable. Over the period of several months, he occasionally texted and/or called to ask me if we had any dog walking needs. I didn't answer, but eventually texted him to tell him that we did not. I understand his wanting a "reason" to try to improve. However, I gave him a reason. And even if I didn't, I don't necessarily owe him one to the point where he has to demand one repeatedly.
