I recently left Ginger here for over two weeks while I went on vacation and I knew she was in excellent hands. Jon is very responsive and communicative, and he shared videos of Ginger living her best life and playing with other dogs. She looked like she was having more fun than she does when I'm around! They were super accommodating, communicative, and they took the best care of our two dogs (who can be needy and a little high maintenance). One dog is a blind senior and the other one is a little anxious due to being a rescue. Each sitter took the time to make sure our pups were comfortable with them and followed the directions we laid out. They sent updates and pictures after every visit, which significantly calmed the helicopter pet parent in me. Special shoutout to Kennedy who became best buds with my usually shy, slow-to-warm-up dog! This was an amazing option to have instead of putting our dogs in boarding (which we all would have been unhappy with). They are great at providing mix-and-match options to keep cost in mind. I could see her experience from the questions that she asked and the information that she proactively gave me. Angie comes within the planned window every day and is extremely communicative about scheduling and the walk. She's so respectful about making sure to accommodate any requests (no shoes inside, wiping paws, etc). I'm usually not at home when Angie comes, but there have been occasions where I still ask her to come when I'm working from home, if I have back to back mid-day meetings. You can tell just how much my dog LOVES her by the way she rushes to the door. It's so sweet how they have their little routine and my dog has definitely accepted Angie (and her adorable kids!) as part of her "pack."

Hendrix my first pup loves going to Coastal Paws, he jumps out of my car and runs straight to door everytime even after all these years. Then when I got my second pup he does the exact same thing. Their pure enjoyment and excitement for doggy day care brings me so much joy. They are will taken care of and I receive feedback on their behavior and the owner does behavior training with them. She does what she says she's going to do, and she does it when she says she is going to do it. She is businesslike without being cold. At the same time, she takes extra time getting to know shy animals and she always makes a friend of it quickly. When I go on vacation I'll have her come take care of things and know I can relax, enjoy my vacation and feel like things are secure at home. I think that's the magic of Wizard of Paws.

My fiance has had the same number for the past seven years. While my number did change about a year ago, SHE HAS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH BOTH OF US VIA TEXT MESSAGE since then regarding payment and key drop-offs. Seriously?! Why does this woman refuse to take responsibility for her negligence?! She also waited until after my review to offer $34 off of our bill as compensation to fix our carpet. Who in San Diego can properly remove pet odors/stains from carpet in two rooms for that low of a price? As an aside, I do need to make a correction. We've used her services four times and the level of communication deteriorated each time: 1st time: We received an email update, no text message. 2nd time: No email. I received an update via text message and my fiance received nothing. 3rd time: No email and no text message. Nothing but a note. 4th time: No email and no text message. Nothing but a note and dog poop everywhere. Why did she stop communicating with us? From this, I can only speculate how little she cared about us as clients and I call into question how much she even cares about our pets...but oh, SHE DEFINITELY CARES ABOUT GETTING PAID. And to address the previous review, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR DOG that would cause her to go all over our home. Our veterinarian can vouch for that. She has no behavioral problems. What this boils down to is a lack of communication and accountability. We do not want someone like that taking care of the ones we love.

Until now, we hadn't had any major issues. Today, we had an appointment specifically for the rabies and parvo vaccines. After we got home, our dog vomited five times in a row. We called the clinic, and they had us come back in, where he was given two more injections to address the side effects. While on the way back, I reviewed the invoice and noticed that four vaccines had been administered, not just the two we had scheduled. When I asked why this wasn't communicated, the response was, "Next time, clarify which vaccines you want when you check in." I had already done that. The appointment was booked for two specific vaccines, and I clearly mentioned both at check-in. I was then told they automatically give all due vaccines unless otherwise instructed. If that's their policy, it was never clearly explained to me and I plan to review our past vaccination records to verify the vaccines were actually due. To top it off, we were charged $82 for the extra shots to counter the side effects caused by their lack of communication, bringing the total cost of today's visit to over $300. This visit left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. Lack of transparency, poor communication, and a refusal to take ownership of mistakes cost them our trust and our continued business.

She gets really anxious at the vet, and this was probably one of the least traumatic visits for her. Dr Johnson examined her slowly on the floor, talking to her, introducing herself before jumping straight into prodding and poking. I felt like she listened to our concerns and gave sound, reasonable advice for our elderly girl. The prices were very reasonable to me. Especially after visiting a recent vet we didn't like at Poway for 1 thing and being charged $200 more than we paid today despite addressing multiple complaints today. They were also quite transparent with their prices online. I actually liked our vet visit today rather than leaving stressed and dissatisfied. I am planning to switch our other dog's care over to here too once she's due for her annual visit. We have moved around a lot in the 13 years I've had my dog and this is in my top 2. I'm so glad I found this new vet near me!

Lis is an amazing person who cares for and loves the animals she watches as though they are her own. Our dog adores her, she provides detailed updates with pictures after each visit so we are certain our dog is well and we have zero stress about leaving her! She is also the kindest human being ever :) The pet portal she uses to communicate about each visit is really amazing - you can add details about your pet and vet, pay, request a scheduled walk and receive/send notes and photos. Lis goes above and beyond, sending multiple pictures and writing detailed notes so we are sure that our dog is happy and healthy when we are unable to be with her. This has given us such great peace of mind because no one wants to leave their pet and stress about it! Hands down, best decision I've made (in a long time) to have Lis watch my two cats while I went away on a vacation. I usually only ever had family or family friends check up on my cats while I traveled, and as many can sympathize, I always felt a level of anxiety if my cats really were being taken care of. I love Lis and the services of Pet Matters. We have Lis walk our two dogs twice a week to help break up our long work days. She's great with the dogs and they love her visits. You get photo texts and an update after every visit. It's a highlight of my workday to get a cute pic of my pups in the afternoon. We can't recommend Lis and Cesar highly enough. We have 3 special needs scaredy cats. After interviewing a number of pet sitters, only Lis and Cesar really listened and understood how our furkids had to be cared for. I moved from NYC to San Diego on a Tuesday and had to start work on that Thursday. So we met with Lis on that Wednesday and it was clear that her love for animals was a perfect fit for us! This pet sitter needed to hire a pet sitter to spoil my babies. Had a horrible experience with Wag so I decided to use a company and a sitter that was as invested in a pets welfare as myself. I am always anxious to leave my cats when I travel. Even knowing they keep each other company, I know they also very much enjoy human interaction. Pet Matters really made me feel a lot more comfortable in leaving them behind. Lis came by to do an initial "visit and meet" and it was smooth sailing from then on. Wow, very impressive in every way. Her paperwork is profession & complete. Dixie has been difficult to house train. Deb Implemented her strategies & Dixie came back to us a better trained dog. Walking with Deb & her dogs daily was a highlight for Dixie. It's amazing to see Deb walking her tribe. They were loving life at several local parks near Debs home. Deb sends photos & videos updates frequently which is joyous for us seeing our happy Dixie playing & loving her doggie buddies. Deb's daycare dogs are her family while in her home. Debsdawghouse is what I consider the gold standard in home doggie daycare.

Last week, I came across Lisa's website and decided to send her an email about her availability. She promptly responded to all the emails, texts, and phone calls. She is very nice & professional - licensed, bonded, and has over 200+ clients - but always ready to take on more! Lisa came over to feed our kitty for a few nights, and sent us a text message (some with pictures!) letting us know how the visits were going (love that!!). She left a daily log of our kitty's behavior/eating patterns, which was so nice to see. Also, our little kitty seemed happy when we came home, and everything seemed to be in perfect order. Thank you, Lisa, for taking care of our "fur baby" and we are so glad to have found you! Highly recommended! She provides in-home professional pet care for Lakeside, Blossom Valley, Eucalyptus Hills, Flinn Springs, Alpine, El Cajon and Santee. Also does overnight care & boarding at her Lakeside home!

Thanks so much for taking care of our furry kids twice in the past few months…read more Barbara goes out of her way to care for you little loved ones and she provided services on two occasions for us and our two cats, large dog, and turtle. She fed each pet twice a day and walked the dog twice a day (when requested - our trip schedule was complicated and we also had other help from a friend). She even played with the cats and bought them a toy. I definitely recommend. Her fees are very reasonable for the caring services she provides. Sadly I found Barbara late in our 4 year San Diego move, just before we moved away to Denver. Very sad that it took me so long to find her. She's wonderful, caring and goes out of her way for you and your pets. I very much recommend her if you need pet services while you're out of the house or out of town.
