The staff was lovely and helpful! We loved being able to check in on our cat via livestream webcam. We appreciated all the detailed notes that we received about our kitty's stay! I 100% recommend this business for cat owners looking to board their cats! Our cat was there for 4 days and 3 nights. We loved how gentle and patient the staff was with our boy (he's shy)! Thank you, Purring Parrot team!

This is place is my savior! I bring my overly loud, overly spoiled baby. My parrot stays with them when I need to be away. They take such good care of him. I check in on him obsessively durning the viewing hours. I watch them sing and dance with him. He gets excited to hear their voices when I call to book a stay. That tells me everything. This place is wonderful, their staff is amazing. They always accommodate me. I can't thank them enough. P.S. I am a bit of a harsh one when it comes to my little dragon. I am so very grateful for this business!

This is heaven to me because I also loooove birds! I'm so happy I found this place and that it exists! I took a tour before choosing a room and they have sooo many fun options! I ended up only booking for one night but it was my first night away from my 9 month kitten and he can't be left at home because he eats everything and anything. I tried a cat sitter before but this is much more affordable for the amount of attention and care he gets! The staff is truly wonderful and you can tell they really care. Look at this adorable report card! So sweet! 15min of play/attention are included and it's just $15 to add another 15min. They even scoop the litter box 3/4 times a day. I brought my own food, food bowls, toys, and litterbox but they also provide all of that. They provide filtered water and water fountains as well! They thoroughly vacuum, mop, disinfect the rooms/toys between cats and I could tell it was clean. The first thing they do is check for fleas too and that's great. Love the 24/7 webcam and if he stayed a 2nd night I would've gotten a daily email report card. They even accommodated feeding him smaller meals 4 times a day and mixed in his probiotics and water like I asked. I provided lickable treats that they used during playtime to bond. They have some resident birds who can entertain your kitty from the window. Will definitely be back to grab a deluxe room with a window!

We had the best experience with boarding our sweet cat here. It was our first time boarding him and we were very unsure of how he would do. I loved that I could check in on him at any time. They kept such great notes on him each day and sent us emails letting us know he was doing well. The team fed him to his specific schedule and made sure to give him plenty of love every day. He finally started to warm up on the 3rd day when we picked him up which makes me feel so good about going back here for future trips. I would recommend the purring parrot to all of my friends and family members with cats.

I just moved here and was looking to find somewhere to board my beloved, grumpy, diabetic Sphynx compared to the place we used to go. The staff and amenities at Purring Parrot is unlike any other place I've looked at or been to! She was well taken care of with notes written on her behavior/food/etc for every single day. Smooth check in and check out, affordable (NOT cheap), and kind and caring staff. I loved being able to see her on the webcam 24/7. The staff have cameras in their own homes to watch the kitties and birds and the location in inconspicuous which made me feel better about having my $1400 baby there for a week. They also send "E-Meows" to my email giving updates from my kitty As an anxious mom with a cat who has a very difficult medical condition (unstable diabetes). I feel so safe leaving my baby here. I highly recommend!!! Pics for cuteness

This was the very first time we left our 1-year-old dog with someone. He's almost 80 pounds of pure energy, a big, happy, very enthusiastic boy so choosing the right person felt incredibly important. I was anxious and very cautious about who we could trust. From day one, Sara exceeded every expectation. She didn't just "watch" our dog -- she worked with him every single day with so much passion, patience, and love. When he came home after two weeks, the difference was remarkable. He was calmer, more focused, and able to control his excitement much better. Walking him used to be a struggle -- he pulled constantly and tried to grab everything he saw on the street. Now, our walks are so much easier and more enjoyable. Of course, there's no magic in dog training -- consistency is key, and we continue to reinforce what he learned -- but his biggest issue, jumping on people, improved dramatically. The foundation she built made such a difference. What also gave us tremendous peace of mind was her communication. Sara sent frequent updates, photos, and videos showing us what he was learning and how he was doing. On top of that, we received detailed daily emails about his overall condition. It made us feel completely reassured that we had chosen the right person. She even gave him several baths during his stay! Her place is incredible , very secure, spacious, and extremely dog-friendly. It honestly felt like a big farm where dogs can feel free yet safe. Sara is truly passionate, caring, and loving. Her knowledge of different breeds and her training methods are impressive and effective. You can clearly see that she genuinely loves what she does. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any dog owner, no matter the age or breed. Leaving your dog with someone for the first time is never easy, but with Sara, you can feel confident your dog is in the best possible hands.

Walter is our new English Bulldog pupperoni (11 months) who loves to be around other dogs, though still learning Ps and Qs. We wanted to find a new daycare for them and came across this lovely place on yelp. I emailed them to set up a visit and they were very nice and accommodating. Everyone is sweet, you can tell they love our animals and they are professional. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were able to check out the play area from the window in the lobby (also watched the video on their website) and they let us into the suites area since there were no dogs in there. When Ruth stays for the day, she stays in their suite and probably loves the break from Walter. Walter goes into the playgroup with the other pups. They asked for all the vaccinations and will ask for updated vaccines as well, which we love and feel very comfortable with. We know we stay up to date with everything and we want to be sure our pups are around other pups that have everything updated as well. We love the report cards. Especially since Walter is so young, we like to see how he is doing with the other dogs. I added some of the pics from their recent visit. Just look how happy he is and Ruth loves the big suite and comfy bed. We are very happy with this wonderful daycare.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my life revolves around that little spaniel mix. We had a weekend-long celebration with her doggy group, cake and presents at home, and we wanted another outing... so we checked out Pure Pawsh. Pure Pawsh is sort of an all-around doggie playground. They have a gate when you walk in, so it is fully off-leash if you would like. When we walked in, we were asked if we were there for trivia. Apparently there was dog-themed trivia from the French Bulldog rescue. Despite having no idea there was dog trivia, we contributed to the rescue and decided to participate. Amelia tried a dog beer (chicken broth with a few treats on top), but it wasn't her favorite. Luckily, they also had peanut banana doggy ice cream which she devoured. I enjoyed a hard kombucha to start.. Later, my husband and I both enjoyed some local Bivouac Cider. They also serve some beer and wine, and very light snacks. You are welcome to bring your own food. I saw several people had ordered Sister's Pizza from across the street. We had fun playing along with the dog trivia. I thought I knew a ton about dogs, but I guess not so much compared to the rescue people, as we didn't even place in the top three teams. However, it was fun and it was to raise money for the rescue. Amelia enjoyed socializing with other dogs, but, even more, getting lots of attention and treats. It's always great to see her so happy! If I lived in the neighborhood, I would be there each week. I'm sure we will return to Pure Pawsh.

I'll preface my review by saying that the only unfavorable thing I have to say is about the parking, which is understandable because it's in North Park. It can be difficult to find street parking although there are pay lots scattered around. This is such a cute cozy place that offers many different services, including a store, grooming, event space and nice place to hang out with your furry friend. The outdoor and indoor seating is a plus and is great for people/dog watching since it's right on 30th st. Comfy couches and other areas to sit along with a bar with both humans and dog beverages really adds. It's also nice that they allow outside food and there's a lot of restaurants to choose from within a few blocks. The music bingo event itself was unique and fun and everyone had a great time (not to mention some pretty cool prizes!) I also met the owner who was so nice and helpful and love that she brings her own dogs to the shop. I will definitely be back!

Walks are now a joy, and the carpal tunnel that I didn't know was caused by the sled dog has eased. I loved how Wolf Girl Canine Club approaches training with kindness and patience - no choke collars, shock collars, or harsh reprimands. Our sweet but stubborn girl heeled because she wanted to. She adored her friend Katie and looked forward to the training sessions. And, while she had suffered from abandonment issues with the other trainer, by the second lesson, she was ignoring us and happily setting off with her new friend.
