We just moved to SD and didn't know anyone well enough to watch our cat for the week we were gone. We found Jennifer from Pawsitive Pet Sitting on yelp and are so glad we did. Jennifer is incredibly professional and absolutely knows what she is doing, and she's definitely a cat whisperer. Since we had just moved to SD, our cat was still really freaked out about everything in the new apartment and constantly hiding under the bed. Everytime ANYone came over she would hide the entire time. I was so anxious about leaving her for a whole week just after moving here with how poorly she seemed to be doing in the new place. Jennifer came over for our first meeting, and our cat came out almost immediately to meet her, which was just the first amazing thing that happened. In addition to that, everything Jennifer told us about her experience and how she runs her business sounded perfect. Upon hiring Jennifer for the job, I finally felt OK about leaving for our trip. During the week we were gone, she sent us updates with the best pictures after each and every visit, and was super communicative and responsive to a last minute schedule change I had. After we came back from our trip, we were completely amazed to find that our cat was no longer scared of our new apartment. She hasn't hidden once since we got home. Usually when we come back from a trip our cat is upset with us and more skittish, but she seems even happier and more comfortable than when we left. In fact, I think she misses Jennifer! read more

Pawsitive Pet Sitting - Happy to see Jennifer - Dog Walkers Near Me

***UPDATE*** I wish I could give Jennifer more than five stars!! She has been walking our dog twice a week for over a year and NEVER has she been late or canceled. She lets us know if she notices anything abnormal. Once our dog got very sick while we were at work and Jennifer let us know and suggested we take her to the vet, then she stayed with our dog for thirty minutes to monitor her until we made it home from work. We can tell that she really cares about our dog and that our dog adores her. Honestly, we couldn't have a shepherd in an apartment without the help of Jennifer. She's reliable and kind and we are so thankful we found her. Thanks, Jennifer!! read more

I want to let anyone looking for an awesome pet sitter you've come to the right place ! Jennifer took amazing care of kitties. This included 3 inside kitties and 4 outside kitties that are feral's that we feed. She did not blink at the challenge We got daily updates and pictures This made being away from home easy and our vacation was relaxing! Can't wait to use her again. read more

Jennifer is incredibly professional, courteous and very diligent when watching over your furbys! She regularly sends updates, ensures that all tasks are taken care of, and that your pets get enough play time to tucker them out. I travel a lot for work and she assures me by sending pictures of my happy baby cat to me while I'm away and thinking of him. She is part of the rescue outreach in the San Diego area and recommended two great programs when it came to donating food that Lynx wouldn't eat. That was something even more special to know that she is connected to greater causes than just her business. Jennifer has a genuine care for animals and it shows in the services she provides for so many clients! Lynx and I are so thankful!!! (Picture was taken by her!) read more

This review is long overdue! I moved to San Diego with my three cats (and boyfriend) a little over a year ago and we needed a new cat sitter we could trust as one of my babes had had some illnesses. Jennifer was very patient and understanding of my crazy cat lady ways! We've relied on Jennifer for quite a few trips and will continue to do so. Whenever we go out of town we feel safe knowing that our fur babies are in great hands. She's easy to contact and very responsive and always sends updates via text or email, whichever is your preferred method and even brought her own cat toy that my cats go crazy over! If you're in need of a reliable, trustworthy, fantastic cat sitter (and human being) you will not be disappointed with Jennifer!! read more

Me and my kitties absolutely love Jennifer! I have used her twice now - a week-long trip out of the country and a long weekend and I never worried once about my kitties. Jennifer sends pictures and status texts of my babies everyday that she visits them (alert: pet photo pro!). I am so happy that I found her and will definitely continue to use her services going forward! read more

I would give Pawsitive Pet Sitting TEN stars if I could... Jennifer is AWESOME, absolutely the best of the best!!! Our dogs are always thrilled to see her and I know I never have to worry about them when they're in Jennifer's care. She really does go above and beyond all expectations with each and every visit, everything is always taken care of perfectly and the dogs are always happy and relaxed when we get back. It's so obvious this isn't a JOB for Jennifer... animals are her passion. Two thumbs (and a bunch of paws) UP for Jennifer and Pawsitive Pet Sitting! read more

My husband is the type to not trust the care of our pets to someone else. We have even taken separate vacations due to this. Due to a family obligation (out of country). We had to find someone that satisfied my husbands' unease. We researched and found Jennifer @ Pawsitive Pet Sitting. This was a big deal- as 1 of our cats' was ill, and had to have a Chemo Pill 1x AND Subcutaneous Fluids Every Day. Jennifer was comfortable doing this. I had COMPLETE confidence in Jennifer. Sadly, before we left, the cat passed away. We still went on the trip and Jennifer took care of our cats and bunny. She was also comfortable with the bunny-care. Bunnies can get sick quick and Jennifer is familiar with bunnies. Due to Pawsative Pet Sitting, we were able to have a great vacations, with both of us at ease with our home-front. We can now plan trips without the Major anxiety that was there before. We receive a photo a day- sometimes of 1 or all-of-the pets (depending on them), this is comforting to us (and a smart protection for her), -she shows proof that she has been there. The photos are usually both funny and comforting to us. We see cute funny photos of our pets who we can tell are at ease with her. It's fun to receive a photo when away, makes us happy. Jennifer is very professional, he paperwork makes things easy- if something goes wrong while you are away, she has your hospital info, doctor info, etc....bases are covered. This gives another piece of mind. Other special duties can include taking in mail, watering plants). You can count on Pawsative Pet sitting to be reliable, kind, caring, competent, trustworthy- I can go on and on. As I said as I began this review, my husband is not the kind of person to trust easily- he is completely happy with Pawsative Pet Sitting. You are welcome to contact me via yelp, if you need any other info that I did not 'fill you on on'. --I cannot recommend this business (which is so personal) enough. Thank you Jennifer for giving us piece of mind and taking such good care of our family. Sincerely, MM read more

We called Jennifer to watch our cat for an eleven-day overseas trip. We only gave her 3-4 days lead time but she came and met with us right away. We knew right away that she was a good person and a cat lover. She gave us updates everyday with a picture. She watered our plants and even cleaned litter that usually tracks around the house without us asking! I'm pretty sure our cat misses her. Highly recommend her service and we will definitely be using her for the future if she's available. read more

Jennifer is an absolutely fantastic pet sitter. I moved to San Diego from NC and was mortified of the thought of having to find a new pet sitter for my two cats. However, I could not be happier with Jennifer's top notch service. When she comes she sends me a detailed text message of her visit with pictures of my babies. This is only the second time I have gone out of town and she already has my female cat coming out of hiding! This is no small feat as she is an extremely timid kitty. Thank you Jennifer for everything that you do! I can breathe easy now when I am out of town. :) read more

Jennifer is amazing! My cats are very needy and I travel for work, so having someone to bring over cat toys and keep my cats happy, is amazing! She also makes an effort to take pictures of them, which is always a nice surprise! I would definitely recommend her services! read more

We are soooo happy we found Jennifer! Not only does she take excellent care of our two Persian cats, but her text updates include better photos than we take ourselves. 100% dependable, very easy to work with, takes Venmo and PayPal - highly recommended. read more

We've been a client of Pawsitive Pet Sitting for nearly 7 years and can highly recommend their services. They have been providing pet care services for our two miniature dachshunds since they each were about 8 weeks old. Services have included daily visits (ranging from three times a day, as puppies, to once a day, currently) for walks and "play time" to extended in-home stays during vacations. Pawsitive Pet Sitting is a professional and extremely well-run and dependable service-- in short, everything you'd want and expect from a business to whom you entrust the care of your family pets. Five stars! read more

We are so incredibly pleased with Jennifer! She was constantly in contact with us, reassuring me on all the "worried cat-momma" fears I had and sending lovely pics of our kitties every couple of days! Even put them on a nice CD for us. The house looks fantastic even with my four kitties, she did a great job cleaning up after them. AND she was able to charm our very skittish kitty, so we know she's a true gem. THANK YOU! read more

My review only helps to confirm all the positive things people have already said about Jennifer. I used her while I was gone overseas for a month and she was fantastic. She emailed me to give me updates whether something happened or not. My bulldog loves her and remembered her when she came by months down the road. She has given us some great tips on handling our little bullie. We moved out of her service area and are so bummed!!! read more

Jennifer is great! She takes such great care of my two cats whenever I'm out of town. She even managed to make friends with one of my cats that usually doesn't warm up to people instantly. I don't know why he's like that, but she does really well with him. I would highly recommend her! read more

OMG. Jennifer is the best dog walker and pet sitter around, bar none! My wife and I have high standards for our lil' chunky Bichon. Ergo, we hired Jennifer to walk our doggie on the days my wife and I work (usually 12-13 hour days). Jennifer takes our dog to the beach and often keeps her out for hours of fun. One can easily sense that Jennifer is more than a dog lover--she's more of a dog whisperer. Additionally, she often comes after short notice via text or email and bails us out of a bind. Her prices are fantastic and you don't EVER have to worry when Jennifer is walking your beloved four-footed family member. I don't easily recommend people, places or things, but I will easily shout at the top of my lungs that Jennifer is the best around!! Thanks, Terry and Molly and Nouna (our Bichon bunny). read more

Jennifer is a LIFE SAVER when it comes to being able to enjoy a vacation knowing that an amazing caretaker is in charge of your little furry ones. My cat Moto was recently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease and needs fluids (SubQ) once a day for the rest of her life. I was terrified after she was diagnosed not only about properly administering the fluids, but also the thought of leaving her alone didn't ever seem possible. I found Jennifer from reviews on Yelp and after our first meeting I felt reassured about her abilities to properly give Moto the fluids as well as take care of her while I was gone. She sent a photo every day to me with a cute update on Moto's health and overall activities. I plan on using Jennifer everytime I go away in the future and know that Moto enjoys her visits just as much as I enjoy her trustworthy services! read more

Jennifer is absolutely amazing. She watched our cats while we were away and everything went perfectly. We couldn't have left our cats with anyone better. The best part was her texts and pictures updating us on how our cats were doing. Thank you for everything. read more

I highly recommend Pawsitive Pet Sitting! Jennifer took extra special care of my older cat, Walter. I received messages and photos from every visit, which really eased my mind. He was well cared for and given his meds on schedule. She even took some extra time with him on a day she could see he needed it. Jennifer is a very warm and sweet woman and I would trust her with my baby anytime! Plus, you can pay her electronically, which I really like. I used Venmo, but she takes other forms of payment as well. HUGE THANKS for taking such excellent care of my boo! read more

Jennifer was wonderful! She was so kind and loving to our 2 dogs! They bonded with her immediately! Our older one is on heart med's (13 years old) and she made sure his all his needs were taken care of! Such a relief! We really enjoyed her daily texts, with a photo of our little fellas! It showed us how happy they were and could tell they were in excellent hands! She will definitely be our "pet sitter" from now on! read more

Very professionally and responsible! When it comes to our two furry kids my fiancé and I are very particular.. We are crazy enough to fly her sister in town (from SAC $$$) to watch them for the weekend while we were at a wedding... until we met Jennifer with Pawsitive Pet Sitting! I'll try to keep this short. I do not leave many reviews but when a company or person does something to leave an impression (good or bad) I believe it should be shared, which is the point of Yelp, right? We met Jennifer nearly three and half years ago when we first moved to Ocean Beach. I actually didn't even know what she did at first. Her calm and comfortable personality left quite the impression on us and we have been using her services and consider her as a friend ever since. If you are looking for a reliable, affordable, and professional who has been in the pet industry for many years look no further! I trust Jennifer or any pet sitter that she recommends! read more

Jennifer is absolutely amazing! She has been pet sitting for our kitty since she was a tiny kitten and we wouldn't trust anyone else! We love the picture and text updates that we get with each visit not only because we get peace of mind that our cat is okay; but she is able to take the most amazing pictures! I don't know how she does it because our cat never sits still. Jennifer clearly cares a lot about animals and that's definitely who you want watching your pets. read more

Jennifer is fantastic - I highly recommend her services! A couple of weeks ago, as we were in the final stages of planning our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Paris, we were told by the Vet that our cat (who has had some kidney problems over the past year) was declining and she was concerned about our travel and getting access to his subcutaneous injections while we were gone. Needless to say, we were freaking out, trying to determine if we should still go on our trip and how we could best take care of our baby while we were gone. After finding Jennifer on yelp and meeting with her, our minds were put at ease. She was able to connect with our cat very easily and you can tell that she is doing what she is meant to do. She came over every day and gave him his daily pill as well as his three subcutaneous injections. We received adorable photos of him every night, which made everything much better. We are truly grateful to Jennifer for turning a situation of panic and stress about our cat's well-being into a situation where we felt completely comfortable enjoying our vacation. We definitely recommend her! read more

Jennifer is absolutely amazing! When my girlfriend and I decided to go home to NY for the Holidays, we had no idea what to do with our 2 cats. We knew we didn't want to put them in a kennel, but with not knowing anyone yet in San Diego, we were out of luck. That's when we Saw Jennifer on Yelp. We were very hesitant but she once she came over for a meet and greet, we knew right away she was great. We were gone for over 2 weeks, including a few extra days that we didn't agree on from the beginning. Jennifer sent us pictures and updates every day and we knew the cats were being taken great care of. We cannot recommend Pawsitive Pet Sitting enough. Will definitely give her a call next time we plan on making a trip out of town. read more

Jennifer is AWESOME! She took care of our 150lb bullmastiff and our 21 year old kitty. She can give meds no problem and can handle any situation. Jennifer LOVES animals and you can tell. Our animals love her and when we got back from our trip they didn't even act like they missed us. The house always looks better than when we left. Jennifer makes sure messes are cleaned up and the animals are happy. Jennifer is a blessing to anyone who needs a pet sitter. We give her 10 STARS ********** read more

My wife and I have used several dog walkers over the years, and Jennifer is by far the most experienced, attentive and dependable dog walker we have ever had. It is such a relief to travel knowing that Jennifer is taking care of our dog Brody. With the frequent texts and pictures we always know Brody is well taken care of and having a blast while we are away. Brody has struggled with having just anybody in our house, but from the first meeting Jennifer was very understanding and knew exactly how to handle Brody's disposition. She has always been available even when we plan a last minute trip and we feel so fortunate to have such an amazing dog walker!!! read more

Jennifer is the best! It seems like it is always the case that I need a cat or dog sitter at the very last minute. Jennifer always makes time for us. She has come by in the afternoon to walk our dog when we will be gone for a long day, and she has come over to cat sit when we are gone for an extended time. I love getting her detailed messages with photos. You can really tell how much your pet is being cared for. I will definitely continue to call Jennifer when it comes to my 3 pets. read more

What else could you ask for from a dog sitter? Jennifer walked our dog, sent us a picture with every visit and turned the lights on and off (even though our dog is an "aggresive" breed). My wife was nervous to have someone come to our house and take care of our dog, but we couldn't be happier. She will be our go to person from now on. read more

We came to San Diego for a weekend visit and didn't want to leave our 4 year old Pekingese behind. Jennifer provided walking services and playtime at our hotel. We will definitely use her services again! read more

Jennifer is great! My cat Echo doesn't normally like strangers but she warmed up to Jennifer very quickly. She sends me a picture of Echo after every visit. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of her when I go away. read more

I am so glad to have found Jennifer. She has been so helpful in the short time I have known her. She goes above and beyond my expectations. She is super friendly, professional and highly reliable. Jennifer is great! I can't say enough good things. She is simply awesome and completely trustworthy. And my cat loves her!

Jennifer has watched my cat, Peppers, for a few years now. She is fantastic and very trustworthy. I know I can count on her to follow the schedule she says she will and she is extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling. From the pictures we received, it seemed Peppers loved seeing her which gave me relief when I was away. I had many sitters prior that didn't seem to interact with her much, as proven by the shedding when we arrived back home. This was not the case with Jennifer, she seemed well taken care of and played with! If you are looking for a great, reliable pet sitter look no further than Jennifer! thanks for everything. read more

The best dog walker in town! I trust Jennifer with Mila and Mila loves her! She's caring, loving and most important to me cautious when she has my baby In public. Love her so much! read more

I am thrilled to have found Jennifer at Pawsitive Pet Sitting. She is the only one who can handle our 3 beautiful greyhounds. They are sweet, but walking 3 at a time is a challenge. Jennifer does it with ease and control. She genuinely loves our girls, too. When they see her, they wag their tails and bodies and dance with happiness. Jennifer not only walks our 3 hounds but house sits, too. We have complete trust in her. She is responsible and the house is left clean and in order - but more importantly we come home to happy and content dogs who do not have to go through the trauma of a kennel or a less experienced or caring sitter/walker. We have actually changed vacation plans to make sure Jennifer can sit for us. read more

Jennifer does an outstanding job. I have a 6 year old cat, who is a little more attention intensive than most house cats (and a few dogs) I've encountered in the past - but I know whenever I need to go out of town that Jennifer has it covered, and I especially appreciate the text updates/photos she sends. I'm a nervous/stressful traveller to begin with, so it really gives me peace of mind to know my little furry friend is in such good hands. read more

Highly recommend using Jennifer for pet sitting and/or dog walking. Jennifer is incredible! She is extremely professional, trustworthy, easy to coordinate with, and very personable. She goes the extra mile to make sure your pet(s) are well taken care of. I was nervous about leaving my very timid dog and cat while on travel for a week and a half but soon after meeting Jennifer it was clear they would be in great hands. Jennifer took time to come meet my timid dog prior to me leaving town at no charge. She did all the right things to build up my dog's trust in order to make taking care of him a smooth process and to make sure that she would be a good fit to take on the job. Without a doubt she takes her job seriously and has pride in what she does. Not only does Jennifer send picture and texts updates everyday, I came home to a pet-hair free apartment with extremely happy pets! I could not ask for a better person to work with. I plan to use her for all my dog walking and pet sitting needs going forward! read more
