I let Katie know how anxious they can get and she has been so empathetic and caring with them. I was and am continually impressed with how she always places the dogs comfort and safety first. We haven't boarded them yet (not needed for a while), but we are working on getting them comfortable with her so that it won't be a big shock and trauma to them when I leave them for the first time. They've met with her twice and already love her. Just one of the dogs has extreme anxiety and separation anxiety so when I'm not around, they easily freak out which is why I scheduled for more frequent day care days before the boarding date in order to make the boarding less stressful. Her patience with my anxious babies makes me feel very comfortable in leaving them with her. She treats my dogs how I would treat them (actually probably even better and with more patience). And I'm so impressed that I do plan to do biweekly or monthly (depending on what my budget allows) daycare with her so that the dogs will be able to have fun away from home but in a controlled and monitored environment with someone that prioritizes their comfort and safety. Her prices are super reasonable too! Side note, the dogs are trained in another language and she makes the extra effort to learn the commands in the other language for them. I didn't expect this, and am very appreciative of the effort.

I have two mini dachshunds and they are very anxious dogs, so I've never left them with anyone other than family before. When I called to inquire about a stay for them, they immediately offered to give me a tour anytime during their regular business hours. Their housing areas for the pets are clean, and the place where my dogs stayed was half inside and half outside. They were able to administer my dog's anxiety meds as normal and to provide them with their regular food, which I brought from home. They also allowed my dogs to have "human only" playtimes, as they are both reactive/fearful of other doggies. It was about $45 a night for each dog, including their daily playtimes. It is great to have this safe daycare and boarding spot so close to home, in case I'm ever away from my pets. It was a very hot weekend, so they had misters going, and kiddie pools out. They were also kind enough to post a photo of my babies on their social media while I was away, and they gave me the option of calling in to check to see how they were doing.

I'm then told that I would have to pay a deposit of $80 just to book the appointment now because a lot of people cancel apparently. Why does the online system not make you do that then and why would I have called to change the appointment if I was planning on canceling? The receptionist was a bit snarky about it too after I said I couldn't pay that today. I take that as a sign that I would have had a bad experience, so on to another vet that cares.
