I was a new client and thought I had Christine lined up to watch my cats over the holidays. But since I did not fill out a very lengthy client profile page COMPLETELY prior to our meet-and-greet (no matter it was mostly complete and two weeks prior to the actual pet sitting appt AND that we had confirmed the appts verbally a couple days before with no mention of this), she cancelled on me. I can appreciate the need for certain policies and her attention to detail (as I'm sure it is applied to pet care as well) but just prefer a pet sitter who is more easy-going and much easier to work with. I am also looking for one who does not charge a key return fee--I don't like the idea of giving someone my house keys to 'keep on hand' or paying them just to get them back.

I moved here from Minneapolis in January 2014 and had a loving, devoted dog walker back home. I was so worried about finding someone new who I could trust in my home and trust with my sweet little sheltie, Miss Ryan. I'm single and occasionally travel, so I also need someone who can take her when I'm out of town. Christine and I had an instant connection, and even more importantly, she and my sweet little dog had the same connection. She does geo-location check ins and status updates with Instagram and Facebook, which is great for me to see my dog on her Facebook page, but also a wonderful and practical use of social media marketing. If you need a dog walker in La Mesa, I cannot recommend Pridey Girl Pet Care enough. :)

Our new pup came home with at least 10 bite marks! Kari texted us, while on vacation, to tell us our dog is aggressive, which was news to us. I think he was defending himself from the wild canines in her care. She said she didn't notice the chunks of fur missing, or know "how that could have happened", because she never saw it. I can't answer that for her. I only know that our dog went into her care without scabs and scratches, and came home with them.

The only reason for stars taken off is because my dog has come back home TWICE with worm related parasite illnesses. When I confronted them, they tried to assure me that the place is cleaned thoroughly. I attempted to let them know how the diseases are transmitted (as I work in veterinary medicine), but they only assured me they cleaned the area. Since there are cameras, it is apparent that they clean at the end of the day, but not fully when a dog pees or poops. This is how they are transmitted. They do not require your dog to be on any prevention either, which could also attribute to it since unfortunately some do not have their animals on prevention. I am so sad because a lot of the employees were so sweet to my girl and she always had a blast! :(
