My 77 year old friend Mike brought his Labrador Tully to mast blvd pet on Tuesday he had stopped…read moreeating and drinking and was experiencing stomach issue. Dr Singh diagnosed him with pancreatitis and recommended two days of Iv fluids along with three days of panoquell CA-1 injections at a cost of approximately $4000, Mike was to take Tully home at 6 pm and bring him back at 9 am for the next two days By Wednesday morning when he brought him back his condition appeared to be worsening he was showing signs of pain, weakness and overall declining health. I accompanied mike that night we had asked several staff on Tulllys condition while waiting to see him, but none of them had seen him that day. When dr Singh came in, I asked direct questions about tullys worsening condition and that he appeared to be in pain. We felt that we did not receive clear answers regarding his condition, prognosis or pain management. Tully was so weak that his staff carried him to the car On Thursday morning his health had deteriorated so severely he could not lift his head and we could barely carry him to the car, so a staff technician came out to the car to administer his final injection of panoquell CA1. We showed her that he was trembling in pain and we were now offered pain relief in the form of an Iv injection of morphine. We were told dr Singh would come to the car to discuss Tullys condition, but that conversation never took place. Before leaving I asked what we should do if Tully was not improving by the next day, we were advised to take him to the La Mesa emergency hospital By Friday Tullys condition had become critical he was crying out in pain and we rushed him to the emergency hospital . Within about 30 minutes we learned how severe his condition had become. Mike was faced with the heart breaking decision to euthanize him because he was suffering and his prognosis was extremely poor. Losing a beloved pet is devastating. What has made this experience especially difficult is our feeling that we did receive clear communication about Tullys worsening condition, prognosis, pain management option, or when emergency care should have been sought. We are sharing our experience so that other pet owners will ask detailed questions, closely monitor their pets progress during treatment, and consider seeking a second option if their pets condition continues to decline

Our 4 month old puppy, Atlas, had a rough start at life and I was so worried he would lose so much of his progress if we went away, but Mia stepped in and helped out so much with his training and care! He came back such a great walker with good habits and better manners with other pups and people. I met with Mia before deciding to do the board and train and she was so detailed and knowledgeable. It made me feel very comfortable with her and Atlas. We discussed in detail his current training, my goals, and concerns and worries I had, etc. She was very thorough and made sure to keep us updated on his progress while we were away. Could not recommend Mia more for any training or boarding your pup may need!! Next time we are out of town I know where he will be staying!

We ended up going out of town for 10 days and I was unsure who I could trust with our corgi as she is still a work in progress. We decided to board and train her with Mia. While our corgi will always be a unique challenge , I am now much more confident in how to work with her. Mias approach to training truly takes into account the dogs personality and also family dynamic. I'm thankful we found her . She is also available to help post training. No board in train will ever "fix" your dog so as new issues arrive in so thankful to have Mia as a resource to help me problem solve!

A Paw-sitively Perfect Place for Pooches…read more My lil Santiago absolutely loves going to Bark Park! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The staff, especially Alyx, Lexi, Katie, and Eric, are incredibly kind and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. On our first visit, they gave us a tour of the facility and patiently answered all our questions. It was clear that they genuinely care about the well-being of every dog. Santiago was so excited during our recent visit that he actually pawed at the door inside the office leading to the big dog gym to join the other dogs playing! LOL The staff is always so accommodating, especially when I call last minute to see if there's room in the big dog gym daycare. It's clear that they go above and beyond to make sure every dog has a fun and safe experience. Knowing that Santiago is happy and well-cared for while we're away is such a relief. We're so grateful for the amazing team at Bark Park! They've truly made a difference in Santiago's life (and ours!). They do doggy daycare from 7am to 6pm and 7am-12pm on Sundays I believe. They offer traditional boarding (private kennels with runs), as well as social boarding (9 pups in big dog gym max I think, and a little dog social boarding). Rarely can I find a social daycare that is also a social boarding spot, and my dog is a dog's dog so we NEEDED it! During a majority of the day, the big dogs club have free roam between the gym house and the outdoor play area. Several hours of the day, the outdoor play area is used for individual play times for private kenneled dogs. The dogs are kenneled only when they are eating and sleeping for the night. Each dog has a chart with their dietary needs, and a bin for their belongings. All in all, this place is awesome and I highly recommend it.
