My fiancé and I are going on a long trip for Christmas and we needed somewhere to board our dog. We…read morewere recommended Camp Run a Mutt to board our corgi. Having heard that they booked up fast for the holidays, we took our dog in early July to have a temperament test which he passed. That same day we paid the deposit to hold our spot at Christmas. I called in November because I had a feeling in my gut something was wrong. Thank goodness I did because when I did call, they told me that they did not have our dog listed to be boarded Christmas week, despite the fact we had already paid a deposit. Fortunately, the worker I spoke to was able to add him to the list. We decided to bring him in again in order for him to get used to camp again before we left for a week. My fiancé dropped him off early, and I began watching the cameras to see him interact with the other dogs. He is a corgi, so he immediately was running around and attempting to herd the other dogs (the zoomies if you will.) Fifteen minutes after my fiancé returned from dropping him off (mind you we were both watching the cameras & seeing him interact with the other dogs) we got a call. They informed us we needed to immediately come and pick up our dog because he was having "anxiety" and "being bullied by the other dogs." They also informed us he was having issues with his recall. (Again we were watching, and while I don't discredit how they felt, it was clear from watching our dog he was merely playing chase.) At that time they informed us that he would not be able to be boarded unless we could come and drop him off for two additional temperament test. Mind you this is three days before we are leaving the country. They also said if our pet sitter who was watching him dropped him off and he did not pass the temperament test on the day she dropped him off, we would need to pick him up. Obviously this was not an option for us as we are literally leaving the country. To say we are disappointed and frustrated is an understatement. Thank goodness, we were able to find a friend to watch our dog for us. It felt as though they truly just wanted to get our money and did not give our dog an opportunity to calm down and get in the groove of being at camp as he was there for less than an hour. It also felt as though they refused our dog because they didn't have enough workers. While I appreciate they gave us a full refund we will not be returning nor can we recommend this location.

This place deserves zero stars. I have been coming to this place for 7 years with my dog, and…read moreboarding her as well. Can't even imagine the amount of money I've spent here, probably upwards of $40,000 probably even more. Today I had the pleasure of bringing my English Black Lab for a temperament evaluation. 10am was my appointment. The "Manager" was 15 minutes late. They double booked. Let the lady behind me go first for her dogs evaluation (mind you she has not spent a dime here) told me that it would at least an hour to get my dog in.. Like I have nothing better to do. So I left and said I'll take my dog somewhere else, they could've cared less. I don't ever write reviews and it takes A LOT to tick me off. My pure bread Lab has more brains than these two pea heads at the front desk. You should have taken me first (loyal paying customer) and make the other lady wait (not even a customer yet) You just lost a loyal customer of over 7 years. Good riddance. I miss Sheldon.

When I called to schedule an appointment for my mini Sheepadoodle, I was questioned about why it had been five months since her last visit. She is still a puppy, I prefer to keep her coat longer, and I regularly bathe and groom her myself. I also clearly stated that she was not matted. However, upon arrival, the groomer immediately began checking her over as if expecting to find matting. She did not I then explained that I wanted her to maintain a sheepdog look while having her coat shortened slightly for the warmer weather. When I picked up my dog, she had been completely shaved down and nothing like what I had asked for. Even more upsetting, she appeared frightened and anxious. I have never seen her react this way after a grooming appointment. She stayed glued to my side the entire evening, which is very unlike her. The groomer chose the quickest option without regard for my instructions or my dog's comfort. I expected professionalism and care, and unfortunately received neither.

When I made the appointment for my dog, the first thing she was concerned about was that my dog hadn't been there in 5 months!! Well I am shopping around for the best groomer as my dog just turned a year and I groom my dog daily!!! I assured her my dog was not matted. When I take my dog in, the grumpy groomers face drops and the first thing she does is feel all underneath my dog looking for mats!! she found none!! After my dog and I were so rudely greeted, I should have left! However, I explain what I want and it's not what I got. My dogs hair was completely SHAVED OFF!! Lazy groomer!! My two doodles will be going elsewhere. Just tell your costumers you will only shave doodles because it's easier for the grumpy, rude groomer!

It's not what we wanted (him gone) but it was the right thing to do since he had become ill and wasn't wanting to eat. In contacting them over the phone and sharing our situation, the attendant was extremely responsive and empathetic to our situation. As the date got closer, our poor boy declined quicker and we even had to move the date up. The company was super flexible and understanding and we were grateful they were able to accommodate this move to two days earlier. When the day came, we were certainly sad. When Dr. Benson arrived, she was soft spoken and kind. She greeted Moose and as soon as he noticed someone had walked in he got up and wagged his tail the best he could. This scene brought me to tears because that was the essence of who Moose was as our pet. He loved ALL humans and was always seeking their attention. Dr. Benson pet Moose and gave him love and affection. He received it and then went to his bed shortly after. She explained the process to us from start to finish. She was gentle in her wording and handling of every last detail. We set Moose up in one of his favorite sunning spots in the yard on his bed. And gracefully, Moose crossed over the rainbow bridge. We were given plenty of time to spend with Moose as the sedative worked and then after the final moments we were able to say our final goodbyes. The gentlemen who came to take care of Moose afterwards was soft spoken and extremely kind. He took care of Moose and left respectfully as he came. We are so grateful from start to finish how this went with our beloved boy. We will forever miss him. But the send off he was given will be forever a part of his journey. Thank you, Paws into Grace. Your whole team are gems.

However, there were some not so great things or improvements they should consider. Initial call with the lady to schedule was alright. She honestly didn't cover much of information, I felt like I had to ask her a lot of questions that she initially didn't mention. If she can slowly just go over from start to finish, it would've eased my mind a little bit more during this horrible time. In details... I know this is a business, but also this isn't something people go through every year (hopefully). The doctor came and she was very understanding of the situation. It felt like she was genuinely sorry for what we were going through as she also lost hers not long ago. I do wish that she would've stepped outside the house to give me little more privacy, but it is what it is. Im sure I could've asked. She did her best in the circumstances. Now, the worst part of this experience was the picking up the ashes. It took me 1 hour round trip to get there and it took 2 seconds to get her back and leave the place. The lady came out with a brown bag and hurried me out the door. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but that wasn't it. I was dumbfounded of like what just happened? Can I at least take a moment to open the bag to see what's all inside? Take a moment to just take it all in that I'm picking my child up as ashes? It felt like 'ok, you paid me, now you can go' vibe. It would've been nice to just take a moment instead of being rushed out. Also not sure why they don't offer drop off, I know a lot of people would pay extra for that so at least they are home when they receive the ashes back and go back to cry all they want at home. I really do appreciate what this company does, but there are something that need some improvements.
