I couldn't invite people to the house. Summer of 2025 I have a dog that loves meeting new dogs and people and runs around OB dog beach off leash. She's not reactive, she has great recall, she makes friends, I can have people over, she listens to commands, and she's so easy to walk. I took her into the vet this week and they removed the 'bite risk' warning from her file, they said it's like a completely different dog. She's not anxious or fearful. She's confident, playful, and so happy. All of this was because of training with John. He is patient, gentle, and kind. I can't put into words how grateful I am that we found him. I recommend him to every dog owner I know.

My initial phone interview with John drew me to "Sit Stay Come" because he was genuinely interested in our dog's personality, energy level, and how he could cater to her. Thank you for helping our fur baby become a better version of herself!

They come to you, which makes the process convenient and helps the trainer work with your dog in the exact environment where the behavior matters most. Katie was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, tailored the training to my dog's needs, and gave me simple steps to follow between sessions. I saw real progress quickly, and my dog is calmer, more responsive, and much easier to manage day to day. If you are considering dog training, I highly recommend Wolf Girl Canine Club. A neighbor recommended Katie of Wolf Girl Canine Club on Nextdoor, and I decided to give training one more shot. Boy, am I glad I did. Katie worked magic with our sled dog. She now expects to play the "heel game" on every walk, and when we run out of treats, she still stays right by my side. What a difference. Walks are now a joy, and the carpal tunnel that I didn't know was caused by the sled dog has eased. I loved how Wolf Girl Canine Club approaches training with kindness and patience - no choke collars, shock collars, or harsh reprimands. Our sweet but stubborn girl heeled because she wanted to. She adored her friend Katie and looked forward to the training sessions. And, while she had suffered from abandonment issues with the other trainer, by the second lesson, she was ignoring us and happily setting off with her new friend. Katie also kept us up to date with photos and even training videos so that we could see er work and follow-up on her progress. This extra effort really helped us stay on track. I recommend Katie and her methods without reservation. Wolf Girl Canine Club will be our first step with future fosters. And, frankly, I cannot wait to see the next transformation. I am so grateful to have found a kind, effective, and thorough trainer.

Once to tell me the dog would be done in 35-40 minutes an hour in and the next to call me 5 minutes after that time was up to tell me that she didn't do the nail trim that was included with the service and that she was leaving for the day cause her shift was over. My dog was there for 2 hours, I don't understand how she didn't have time to complete it. She said my dog was being wiggly and that's why it wasn't done. I literally pay to bring my dogs here so that I don't have to trim their nails myself. I don't have the ability to do it at home. I am disappointed that now I have to take my dog somewhere else and pay more money to complete a service I already paid for. She was gone at 2:02pm when I came to pick up my dog and there were other groomers there that could have completed the groom if she needed to leave so badly. She also tried to upsell me on a Furminator package that I didn't order and now I think that's hilarious because she wouldn't have had time to finish it anyway.

I had an appointment at 11 when I dropped her off I was never told of a fee if you pick up after an hour the dog is done. My dog got done at 1:38 i picked up her up at 4pm on the dot . I get there and ADAN the front desk guy with the heavy accent has an attitude and tells me they have been done for SIX hours and I'm going to be charge a fee. Which wasn't true at all .She was finished at 1:38pm as the lady told me and I picked her up at 4pm. Adan also was saying my appointment was 9am and it was at 11 , he had he's timing all wrong or just didn't know how to count . He was also complaining my dog pooped in the kennel ,which shouldn't be a big deal it's petsmart dogs piss and poop all over the store it's what dogs do when they smell other dog scents around! Isn't that he's job to clean up and after dogs. My dog has anxiety and pees a lot if u put her down .I had let the lady know this on the checkbox upon checking in. They go to grab my dog and she has piss all over her .Then Adan says he will need to charge me double price to clean her up again . Just ridiculous no help no customer service skills . The manager VALERIE was no help she just listened to whatever Adan told her . Definitely not a manager leading anything or making the situation better . So I left with my dog full of piss and paid 90$ . The people running the grooming area don't seem competent of doing so . They will argue and talk over you . Never going back.

Bark Busters came to us highly recommended. After some research and reviewing Ted Talk and…read morearticles, I signed up our two rescue mix breed ~20lb boys. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.
