Five stars isn't enough! Not only is Justin a proven expert trainer, the amount of compassion and…read morecommitment he has shown is unreal and truly heartwarming. He says his passion is helping people and their dogs, and I have no doubt about that. A month after separating from my partner and moving out to my own place, my leash aggressive, two year-old cane corso, Zeke, lunged at another dog in my apartment complex and took me with him. Fortunately, aside from a few cuts and bruises I sustained, everyone was OK. But the anxiety and emotional trauma that was left behind made me avoid taking Zeke out for walks all together and when I did my hands would start shaking. Thinking that I would be able to do it in my own, I watched hours and hours of dog training videos and even tried using an E collar, none of it helped. Not only were things stressful outside of the house, but inside of it too. My 14 year-old cocker spaniel and poodle mix, Lexi, is very reactive towards Zeke. Because her senses are not what they used to be. She has even mistaken me for Zeke and has snapped at me. The thought of me potentially losing my apartment, having to give up Zeke, and the fear that Lexi may accidentally bite one of my children caused even more stress on top of what I was already going through from the separation, so I knew I needed to get professional help. After just one phone call with Justin I already felt a weight lifted from my shoulders. We have only been working together for two weeks and have already seen improvement, not only with Zeke's responsiveness to corrections while on walks but with my confidence in leading my pups to a calm and happy life. Justin really set me up for success by giving me tools, demo videos, and tips - making me confident in my ability to correct Zeke's leash reactivity. Walks with Zeke are so much more calm for us both! So grateful for what Justin does and how he does it. He is so responsive and genuine, really making us a team with the same goals! Can't recommend him enough! THANK YOU, Justin!

Literally the first hour I saw huge improvement and now I honestly look forward to walking my boy twice a day. Are they under new ownership? What has changed?…read more We've used Camp Run-A-Mutt several times over the years for overnight boarding and have always had a great experience, which is why this recent stay was so surprising. When making the reservation, I noticed that a few of my dog's vaccinations would expire during his stay. We took care of getting them updated weeks in advance and made sure the vaccination certificates were sent to Camp Run-A-Mutt. I even confirmed with a staff member at the front desk that they had received everything and that my dog was all set for his stay. A few days before our trip, I received a call saying my dog was missing vaccinations. I asked which ones, and of course they were the very vaccinations we had already updated and submitted. I explained that they had the records, the employee put me on hold, then came back and confirmed everything was in order and said they'd see him on Thursday. Then things got even more frustrating. On Thursday, as I was landing in another state for my vacation, my daughter--who was dropping my dog off before catching her own flight--called me in a panic. She was being told they couldn't accept him because his rabies vaccine wasn't up to date. I immediately called the facility and explained that we had already confirmed his records twice. The employee put me on hold, checked the records, and sure enough, they had his current rabies certificate the entire time. They admitted everything was up to date and accepted him. A few days later, while we were still out of state, I received another call saying my dog was being quarantined and separated from the other dogs because his vaccinations supposedly weren't current. At this point, this was the third time in less than a week that the exact same issue had come up. I again explained that his vaccinations were current and that their staff had already confirmed this multiple times. The employee put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Thankfully, my daughter was only a few hours away and was able to rush over and pick him up. When I called to pay for his stay over the phone and let them know he was being picked up, I was initially told they couldn't accept payment over the phone. That was confusing because I've paid over the phone for previous stays without any issue. When I asked if it was a new policy, the employee admitted it wasn't--they just didn't know how to process a phone payment. They had to get someone else to help before I was finally able to pay. I'm honestly not sure what's changed, but the organization and communication were completely different from the excellent service we've received in the past. The repeated confusion over vaccination records--which they already had on file and repeatedly confirmed--caused unnecessary stress while my family was traveling out of state and ultimately resulted in our dog being removed from daycare and picked up early. We've always been happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated breakdown in communication, but based on our recent experience, I no longer feel confident leaving my dog there.

I could not say better things about Philly or the training and boarding services he provides. From…read morethe very first time I reached out, Philly's kindness, professionalism, and humility were evident, and the way he took the time to explain his training philosophy, services, and pricing with complete transparency made me feel genuinely comfortable. There was never any guessing or confusion - just sincere, open communication that showed how much he truly cares about the families and dogs he works with. We recently boarded our two dogs with Philly while we were away on a family trip, and I can't express how relieved and reassured I felt knowing they were in his care. Philly went above and beyond. He created a group chat for my husband and I to streamline communication, and we received consistent check-ins, videos, and the sweetest pictures. You could see it in our dogs - they felt happy, safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. That kind of peace of mind is priceless. Philly is an exceptionally talented trainer, and his passion for what he does shines through in everything he does. He has such a natural, intuitive way with dogs - patient, gentle, confident - and it's clear that this work is not just a job for him, but a calling. He treats every dog like family, and that level of genuine care is incredibly rare. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, trustworthy, and deeply committed to the well-being of your doggos - someone homegrown, family-oriented, and wholeheartedly invested, Philly's the person you want in your dogs' lives, especially when you're away. We trust him wholeheartedly and plan to board with him again in the future! Thank you again, Boss Dawg K9 Training!

I let Katie know how anxious they can get and she has been so empathetic and caring with them. I was and am continually impressed with how she always places the dogs comfort and safety first. We haven't boarded them yet (not needed for a while), but we are working on getting them comfortable with her so that it won't be a big shock and trauma to them when I leave them for the first time. They've met with her twice and already love her. Just one of the dogs has extreme anxiety and separation anxiety so when I'm not around, they easily freak out which is why I scheduled for more frequent day care days before the boarding date in order to make the boarding less stressful. Her patience with my anxious babies makes me feel very comfortable in leaving them with her. She treats my dogs how I would treat them (actually probably even better and with more patience). And I'm so impressed that I do plan to do biweekly or monthly (depending on what my budget allows) daycare with her so that the dogs will be able to have fun away from home but in a controlled and monitored environment with someone that prioritizes their comfort and safety. Her prices are super reasonable too! Side note, the dogs are trained in another language and she makes the extra effort to learn the commands in the other language for them. I didn't expect this, and am very appreciative of the effort.

I saw real progress quickly, and my dog is calmer, more responsive, and much easier to manage day to day. If you are considering dog training, I highly recommend Wolf Girl Canine Club.
