If you live in Alpine, you already know how special Natural Instincts is…read more Angela is truly one of a kind. Her love for animals is obvious in everything she does. I constantly see her going out of her way to help reunite lost pets with their families, posting across multiple community groups, scanning animals, and doing whatever she can to help. Today, while driving my daughter home from school, we spotted a tiny Chihuahua running in the middle of the road. We immediately picked it up tried to find its home. Unfortunately, we couldn't figure out who the owner was so we took it straight to Natural Instincts. Angela scanned the dog for a chip, and when none was found, she took photos of it, posted in local groups near where the dog was found, and before long, we were able to locate the owner. What really touched me was that she didn't just scan and send us on our way. She gave us a harness and leash so the little pup would be safe and secure while we searched for its family. This is who she is. This is how she runs her business. Natural Instincts isn't just a pet store. It's a place run by someone with a genuine heart for animals and the community. The shop is absolutely adorable, they offer grooming, and when we were there, we even saw two beautiful black kittens available for adoption. We need more businesses and more humans like this in our communities. If you can, please support Natural Instincts!

I will not be bringing my dogs here for grooming again. If the groomer is unwilling to work with…read morelonger-haired dogs, that should be communicated upfront so customers can make other arrangements. When I called to schedule an appointment for my mini Sheepadoodle, I was questioned about why it had been five months since her last visit. She is still a puppy, I prefer to keep her coat longer, and I regularly bathe and groom her myself. I also clearly stated that she was not matted. However, upon arrival, the groomer immediately began checking her over as if expecting to find matting. She did not I then explained that I wanted her to maintain a sheepdog look while having her coat shortened slightly for the warmer weather. When I picked up my dog, she had been completely shaved down and nothing like what I had asked for. Even more upsetting, she appeared frightened and anxious. I have never seen her react this way after a grooming appointment. She stayed glued to my side the entire evening, which is very unlike her. The groomer chose the quickest option without regard for my instructions or my dog's comfort. I expected professionalism and care, and unfortunately received neither.

Everyone at this pet hospital is so caring and knowledgeable. We brought in our cat for a second…read moreopinion (the petco vet stated that cat was having liver failure and needed several expensive tests and treatments that we could not afford). We found that our cat ate toothpaste- who knew that toothpaste is poisonous to cats?? The staff at Country Pet Hospital did EVERYTHING they could. I authorized my cat to be euthanized and 10 min later the doctor called me to say the cat was eating and wanted to give her a fighting chance - best to wait a couple days. The doctor saved my cat's life - he truly cared. After a couple days, doctor told me to take my cat home thinking she would eat more in her own environment- he was right. The staff called daily and then twice a week to check on my cat. I am very grateful and will never use any other vet. BTW - pricing was cheaper at County Pet Hospital vs the petco vet. Two month later , my cat is back to her shenanigans! THANK YOU COUNTRY PET HOSPITAL!!!

My family and I have had a lot of animals over the years and have been to many hospitals and this…read moreis probably the WORST vet hospital I have ever been to. I live in Alpine and wanted to give the local vet a chance but each time I went they were awful. Their main objective is to scam you for more money and they don't care much for the animals. First, with my elderly dog, we had to put her down because she was suffering, and when we called they responded that they could not put her down because she had not been regularly visiting their clinic and that it's unacceptable that we had not stayed loyal and gone to them every time, even though she hadn't needed to visit a vet. Mind you, we had been boarding her there every year and they knew our dog well. This is also when we were already grieving and had to drive all the way to Santee for a new vet clinic that was awesome. Then with my cat, she had some issues with urinary tract infections because she was constantly outside and never drank much water even when we tried to force her to drink more. So the first time we took her to a different vet because we were already not happy with our vet and we were told what it was and given antibiotics. She got better even after almost dying and they were great. Then the next time, we gave the Alpine vet another chance, but they said they needed to run multiple tests on things that were not even an option for what she had, and they refused to believe us when we told them that she had had it before and just needs antibiotics. She almost died and we had to bring her back to the other vet that day. Lastly, we had a dog that had a nosebleed for a while and the Alpine vet told us they needed to run multiple tests that cost thousands of dollars, and when we were hesitant because we knew it wasn't many of the options they proposed they said he probably has a tumor and would die soon. My dog ended up being perfectly fine and had no tumor after we left with no tests. I also have another story that gets worse but overall we will never be going back and everyone we know in Alpine will be told the same every time.

Welcome Woofie's of Carlsbad!…read more This family business provides a variety of pet services. We utilized their mobile grooming for not one, but two dogs. I scheduled the service with the owner over the phone who got me started on their booking platform. My female dog has a wash and go type of coat and she was booked for a sanitary trim. Our male dog has a thick coat and was scheduled for a full service treatment. Both came out looking their best thanks to Alexis. The entire process from beginning to end was smooth. The office followed up on our services after the session. You can just tell the team at Woofie's wants you to have a positive experience. This was our first time using a mobile grooming service. The mobile van was new, clean, and well stocked with supplies and treats. The dogs liked it and I think that is what really matters. Time to book our next session for the holidays... #WoofiesofCarlsbad #MobileGroomers #ADogsLife #YelpEliteNCSD

I came across Woofies and from the first phone call to now (a year later) this place has been WONDERFUL. My first impression was they CARE. Caleb spoke to me on the phone for 30 minutes about all the questions I have and was empathetic regarding my anxiety about finding a new groomer. At the end of the call I booked an appointment and I'm so glad I did! Fast forward to almost a year later now that we've been using Woofies and they've always been incredibly accommodating, communicative and professional. We are so glad to have found kiwis grooming home! At the beginning we used Alexis who was phenomenal and kind but she moved so now we use Michelle and are SO thankful we have her as Kiwis groomer. Michelle pays close attention to detail and loves kiwi, you can tell she loves what she does. I recommend all my friends use Woofies! We don't like standard salons where you drop your pet off and pick up with how tiny kiwi is and she's used to mobile grooming so this was perfect for us! The convenience of them coming to your home and bringing our pet out to the van is PRICELESS.
