BG offers fresh food and a good variety of desserts. I picked up some empanadas and they were very fresh and had a good filling. I had a corn empanada and a spinach empanada, both filled me up. I also got cachitos de manteca, or mini sweet croissants, and they were doughy and thick, also very fresh. They have lots of sandwiches, I may get a sandwich croissant next time. Located on the corner of SW 17th Ave and 12th street is this Argentinian bakery that I have been hearing nothing but good things about. And it did not disappoint. I went in aiming for their empanadas but I left craving their Miga Sandwiches even more. In fact I ended up going back couple of days later to try all the remaining options of Miga Sandwiches. For empanadas, my top three were regular meat, sweet meat and chicken. In that order. But honestly their corn their spicy was also very good. The 3 cheese was good but I feel they put Bleu cheese and it over powers all other cheeses but if Bleu cheese is your jam then it's perfect. As for the Miga Sandwiches, they were all amazing. But if I had to choose one to try it would be the classic ham and cheese. The bread was so soft and the sandwich was so simple. It's probably the simplicity of it all that makes it so good. I also enjoyed the egg one and the olive one too which had a salty kick to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bakery itself is small and no tables inside. Only tables along the wall for standing and eating. So it's more of a grab and go kind of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly. My kid loved asking about every Argentinian candy they had and I heard their bread is also very good. They told me it takes a bit while the heat it up in the oven. So I'm sure it gonna be amazing for my next visit which I already can't wait. Definitely an instant regular for me and you should be too. I went to Bariloche really excited to enjoy some authentic Argentine food, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. I ordered beef and chicken milanesas with fries (around $28), and was quite disappointed. The milanesas were thick, lacked flavor, and were a bit burnt. The meat (peceto) is a good choice, but it should be sliced thinner and seasoned properly, following the traditional Argentine recipe. I truly hope they take another look at their preparation methods, because the concept is great -- and I'd love to come back one day to enjoy a real Argentine milanesa. read more

Oh wow I'm loving this little Argentinian gem! First time I visited I picked up some dulce de leche stuffed merenguitos and alfajores and they were super light and not overly sweet. Next time I got the empanadas, sandwich de miga (crustless mini sandwiches) and croquetas for an office meeting. Everyone loved them! This a a nice corner bakery not far from the heart of Little Havana. There is a big assortment of pastries, sandwiches, coffee and fresh juice. I really liked the sweet beef empanadas. We got corn, chicken, spicy beef, sweet beef and caprese empanadas. We all liked the sweet beef and caprese the best by far. We also got some sweet pastries and the coconut was the standout over guava and cheese. The staff was very friendly and patient while we were deciding. Cute little bakery spot. My family was driving around 8th street and wanted to stop at a hispanic coffee shop for strong expresso, "Media Noche", empanadas and guava and cheese pastries. We so happens to drive by the corner of 17ave and our eyes spotted this Bariloche. As we entered the shop, we were greeted. Floors and all was nice a clean. Large tv screen with menu items on display. There were 2 Hispanics working the counter. I was asked in Spanish what I'd like. I understand the language more, than I can speak it. So i responded in English; I asked for 2 expresso, 4 beef empanadas and 1 chicken empanada, I also ordered 3 guava and cheese. The lady had difficulty understanding me so I called my husband to help communicate my order to the lady. They seem to have a good understanding of what he ordered. We pay, we go. As I'm eating what I thought was beef empanada, ended up being cheese empanada. Ultimately, We were given 4 cheese and 1 chicken. I wasn't completely disappointed bc the cheese was actually a pleasant texture. But bc I expected to eat beef, I was thrown off. Instead of going back to ask them to correct my order and exchange the cheese for beef. I decided I'd ordered 2 beef empanadas for the people that actually wanted beef (not cheese). The chicken empanada is a must try. The ladies seemed nice. They are trying their best. The cashier jokingly explained to my husband when she sees Americans, she gets nervous bc she don't want to have any miscommunications and mess up food orders. It was not only my 1st time here, but my family's as well. I like this place. We all enjoyed the food. I just wish the communication wasn't such a barrier. This is located afew blocks away from Little Havana in the midst of a residential neighborhood . Upon entering you see a stocked shelves of a wide variety of all sorta baked goodies . The pies and cakes really stood out as they looked like works of art . Unfortunately they are sold as a whole so I couldn't get a slice . So after deliberation I just got their onion and cheese empanadas and a slice of tres leches . The empanadas are flawless . I liked that they were baked and tasted delicious and rather healthy for an empanada . The tres leches wasn't my favorite after having some of the elite stuff in Harlem . This was more grainy texture when eating the sponge . The outer frosting was delicious though but it shouldn't have as much in relation to the sponge part of the cake . It was just ok in my book . Excellent service, everything is baked and made inside and the variety of Argie things they have is ludicrous. They have things you won't see at the Ezeiza Airport duty free shop in Argentina. Alfajores Alfa Pampa. Havannettes cones from Havana, and a stupid amount of baked goodies. Also you can find cold cuts and Port Salut cheese, just like in a chinese supermarket in the midst of Palermo. The place is not big, and due to COVID-19 restrictions they removed the tables, but at least you have a bar thing where you can consume whatever you want. I recommend it 100/100. read more

The sandwiches are HUGE! Great value but the steak was a little tough on the pan con bistek. I think a little pounding with meat tenderizer would make a huge difference. Some of the stars here (other than everything and their amazing daily specials) are the pizzas...like woah, that is probably the best pizza I've actually ever had. The pizzas aren't big, but they're accordingly portioned to be just right. You gotta give it a try, inquire into what night they have a pizza special even. I also frequently come to just pick up my Cuban bread fix, and if you don't get there early they will run out. They also have baguettes which I believe is more a specialty regarding food genre. You also can't go wrong with a simple breakfast that comes with eggs (of your choice), a tostada, and cafe con leche.
