Went to the plainview bareburger for lunch today and was excited to see they updated the menu a little bit and have a new section of plant based burgers and a lot of new sauces. (I was however sad to see that they got rid of the collard green wrap and replaced it with a bed of lettuce.) I tried the Forager burger and it was pretty awesome (10/10 to be exact) This might be my new go-to order. Also the staff is always super sweet and friendly every time we go in. My guy got the Bison burger which has always been one of his favorites along with the Supreme. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND SATURDAYS AT BAREBURGER! I don't owe an explanation for my mistake in the review but for the people that would possibly come. I accidentally put Friday as the day not to come because that is the usual day I come so l got it confused. Me and my family Wanted see how it was on a Saturday and it sucked! Just come Friday if you don't want to deal with a terrible "manager" and lazy staff. I hate that I had to leave a review. I honestly would call myself and my family regulars. The service and everything today sucked. It took almost 25 minutes for our order to be taken by our inexperienced server who seemed like he wanted to quit. The "manager" looks like a kid fresh out of high school. Terrible attitude and just shouldn't in my own opinion be in charge of a restaurant like this. I am obsessed with these onion rings! The onions are perfectly cooked, the breading crispy and fresh. Yummy! I could have had an order of them on my own. But I was nice, I shared them! Love the eco friendly model - sustainable, organic, locally sourced as much as possible. That is my preferred style of eating. For a chain restaurant, they do it well and keep the customer informed. Came here at 8:15pm on a Saturday night. The place wasn't too busy, however our sever was on top of her stuff. Constantly came over and checked on our table. Lemme start off my saying how disappointed I am abt the menu changes. They replaced the rare meats with vegan options. Why replace the rare meats? Why not just add vegan option? The rare meats is what made bareburger so unique compared to other burger spots. There's ton of places that have vegan dishes. But how many places have elk burgers, duck burgers, etc? The fire Quacker was amazing & it was the 1st burger I tried at bareburger. I really loved the elk burger as well, forgot what it's called. If disappointment could kill... One of my Yelp buds (Jess) posted a $13 burger lunch a few months ago. What wasn't posted, for a buck, one dollar you can get a beer with your meal. A buck. 4 quarters. beer. I love beer! And I love it for a buck! I ordered a cheeseburger, put on a funky seeded roll (along with mustard) it was a pretty good meal I have to admit, The meat is organic, hooray for giving cows no drugs! They had their bellies rub and were fed natural foods. Does the meat taste any different? Nah.. I ordered a burger with a lettuce bun. The burger came with 4 pieces of small lettuce thrown on it. Where I couldn't pick it up. I've had lettuce buns else where and they give u numerous LARGE pieces to actually hold the burger. Not four tiny pieces of romaine that can't even wrap a French fry in. The other burger bun was so soggy half of it fell off when it was taken out. Along with the chicky club. Fries were soggy. For 130$ worth in burgers for 4 ppl I expecting a little more. I love that there's a place I can go, as a vegetarian, to enjoy a great burger alternative. lately other places are offering more options, but Bareburger was one of the first and does it best. their impossible burger and impossible nuggets never miss. the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the waitstaff is always a bit lacking. they're not mean or rude, but they're almost always a bit absent and cold. not a major negative, but it is a bit annoying when you have to flag someone down to get a refill on a drink or something. and it makes the experience a bit less enjoyable when the waitstaff isn't friendly. but it's not something that will stop me from going. read more

Upon entering waitress greets you at the counter and instructs you to order and take a number / seat. I didn't see any sanitizer upon entering or cleaning of the tables prior to sitting (didn't like that). I got the chicken tenders and the truffle fries, which were just okay. I'm often told that what I'm eating is organic, and I shrug. It rarely makes much of a difference to me. Bareburger is different. Their beef and ingredients are so fresh and clean that you can actually tell the difference. Every bite actually makes you feel healthier. The restaurant itself has a hipster vibe, but it's not over-the-top or pretentious. People sometimes complain about the ordering system, in which you place your order at the counter before having a server bring it to you. These people are babies and don't understand business. I also recommend downloading the app and ordering online. It's a great way to take your time ordering without keeping the staff from other responsibilities. read more

This was probably the worst dining experiences I've had. We ordered two burgers and they were not the best. One of them was over cooked and raw in areas, not sure how that was able to happen. We would have been able to tell a server if they weren't too busy talking to each other and hanging out in one of the booths and talking about TV shows. We were finally able to flag someone down to give our feedback. Our server came and asked if we wanted it remade and we said no. At that point, we were done with the whole experience. No one asked us if the food was to our liking, simply dropped it and walked away. There were other guests in the restaurant and they weren't asked either. After we declined a new burger, the woman then stated she is going to see what she can do. We waited again...longer... no word. We just saw her sitting at the booth. My wife then walked up to the bar and asked for the status since at that point we wanted to leave. The woman said the burger was taken off our bill and we will receive a refund. I then asked if she was going to let us know if we didn't walk up and ask? I didn't receive an answer. Our entire dining experience would have been saved if they once checked in on us and asked how the food was. It was ruined by a lack of ownership and professionalism from the staff. I understand within Covid times the need for social distancing. However, if you are in a restaurant the servers should at least offer some sort of satisfaction to their guests. At the end of the day, your still a restaurant. There are other restaurants maintaining social distancing and following protocol while providing service to their guests. I have since tried to get in contact with them via e-mail and social media. I received a generic automated response via e-mail giving me 10% off future purchase. However, I will never go there again. The social media response, I asked a followup and never received a response. Today I tried this place through Doordash. It was my first time and most definitely my LAST. I had a very simple small order with no special requests. I ordered the plant based chicken nuggets, and order of pickles, and French fries. Tell me why they gave me a burger, French fries, and a chocolate dessert? This is nothing but laziness. It's bad enough that DoorDash was slower than snail (which isn't Bareburgers fault) but how come it took 30 minutes for them to confirm my order the second time? The customer service person I spoke to with DoorDash called them and asked them for a redelivery, so they knew it was coming. It's just a little too much of a coincidence if you ask me. First time at Bareburger in Plainview today. I'm a vegan and I found this place to be extremely vegan friendly. They have plenty of options for me and their vegan items are marked with a V. Their menu items all have calories listed too which is good for anyone trying to watch their diet. I ordered the beyond burger on a sprouted roll. I wouldn't say it was amazing but it was definitely very good. The fries were very good too. I also had the Velvis milkshake which had coconut ice cream, chocolate, peanut butter, banana, and hemp milk. This was by far absolutely amazing and I would definitely get it again. I've seen multiple reviews on Yelp about people saying they are pricey. There prices are pretty high but you get what you pay for - fast and friendly service, healthier raised beef and vegan options, and fresh tasty food. They also have plenty of gluten free options. The decor is unique and interesting and has kind of a vintage feel to it. It's not a fancy place so casual dress is appropriate.
