Great food, friendly service, and a fun beach-town vibe! The 20th Anniversary Thursday special with 2005 prices is an awesome deal. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Looking forward to coming back! Please check out my video here: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8sKgN29/

Soft Pretzel

My 3rd time here and I keep wanting to come back! The lamb smash burger is one of a kind. The flavors blend so well together. I'm a thin French fries kinda girlie so the matchstick fries wee right up my alley. They give two dipping sauces too in addition to ketchup and all were delicious. The pretzel is a solid soft pretzel too.

Bare Back Grill is 10 of 10. I never wait to take a picture before I eat. I always like to do the aftermath... so pics you see are after food was destroyed!

Very very good burger spot in PB. Went in on a Tuesday night, not expecting too much but we were really impressed. Our server Kyle was courteous and insightful. We ordered 3 burgers and a salad, a couple of beers, and a tequila drink. The food was superb- burger's all done to perfection, shoelace fries hot and crisp, salad was fresh and tasty. The only slight down tick was shortage of habanero tequila and sculpin beer. Decor was holiday all the way, they go the extra distance. I'd recommend again in a minute.

Habanero Chicken

Came here over the weekend with my husband and a couple of friends -- it gets pretty cold, so definitely bring a jacket if you'll be sitting outside! Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband devoured his food in under five minutes. The habanero fried chicken sandwich was fire -- super crispy and flavorful. The fries were perfectly crunchy and seasoned just right, and I loved the calamari with its sweet dipping sauce. Service could have been a little better, it took forever to get our tab to leave. We were waiting for quite a while before anyone came to check up on us. Overall, a good spot for a tasty lunch near the beach.

Chili cheese tater tots

Bare Back Grill is a decent spot. We tried the chili cheese tater tots, which were pretty solid and definitely filling. They also have $5 all-day mimosas, which is a nice deal if you're just looking for something casual. The vibe leans more toward a college crowd, so it can get a bit loud and busy depending on when you go. Overall, not bad for a quick, low-key hang, but probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.

Usually go to raglan in OB but today we were in PB so we tried their oldest restaurant. Not crowded. Great service. Laid back. Great music and videos. This location has the most amazing deal for their 20th anniversary. Menu prices from 2005!!! Burgers for &11 on Thursdays!!! You CANNOT BEAT THIS . You're silly if you don't come here for this deal!!! My lamb smash today was out of this world and so was my husband's wagyu smash. We opted for the strawberry fields side salad for $1 more instead of fries. Nice to have that option

Blunt burrito

Not only is their food fantastic but they offer $4 mimosas. Honestly that's really all that needs to be said. However, I will add that the staff members (bartenders, waiters/waitresses, etc) are all very welcoming and accommodating. I typically come here for brunch with large groups and they always are great with us and they have seating to accommodate a few larger groups. I recently ordered the veggie burrito and added egg and my husband had the blunt burrito. Both were fantastic and paired well with the salsa given. I was quite impressed with the veggie burrito. Very filling, fresh, and just a great combo of veggies to make it taste great on its own. Would absolutely go back for the burritos alone, but again the $4 mimosas make it even better!

Burger of the Month and menus

Haven't been back here in a minute but it never disappoints and the onion rings and ranch satisfied my craving. If you're around for the November "burger"//sando of the month, then 1000000% recommend the Thanksgiving flavors. On point. Side of gravy for dipping? C'mon... drool worthy.

Fish N' Chips

Solid little spot with a fun atmosphere, especially on the weekends. The fish and chips were excellent, crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. We'll be back!

We popped in here quickly as we saw signage on the street advertising $3 Jell-O shots and $4 mimosas. It was pretty packed for a Saturday afternoon which was nice and lively. They are dog friendly, so many dogs everywhere! It looked like their menus after some really great burger options, and different specials throughout the week.

Beef patty melt New Zealand Style

This was the first time trying New Zealand cuisine and it's interesting but yummy. The food is well cooking and delicious. Really the the out door seating area( it does get a bit chilly, even with the sun blazing hot). The servers were also very nice and welcoming.

I have been coming to this location for almost 10 years now. I am so glad to see it's still open for when I take vacation trips to San Diego. This location has great hour deals. Their staff is so sweet and always goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience. This location is so easy to walk to from many hotels and that's probably why it can get little busy. They have the most delicious sangria I have ever tasted- a pairing of red wine with brandy and fall flavors. This is the perfect refreshing drink to kick off your vacation with. The tomato soup paired with a grilled cheese is another favorite. The naked tenders on happy hour are always delicious too and don't forget the sweet potato fries to round out any meal.

The kicker was how terrible the service was. - our waitress had a lot of attitude in the beginning, rolling her eyes and not being responsive, and rarely checked on us after taking our food orders - entrees came a long time before apps, and dinner was served without silverware - entrees were placed at the corner of the table instead of served to each individual person, and while moving our plates food spilled everywhere and no one cleaned it up - no water refills. When we did ask for water, the waitress brought us the carafe and immediately walked away even though all of our cups were empty/needed filling - our empty plates stayed on our table for an hour and only got cleaned up when we asked - someone said they would be right back to come wipe the dirty table after they took our plates, and never came back - it was a birthday outing and they did comp our dessert, but it didn't come with a candle or anything. They brought 1 spoon and no sharing plates, even though there were 3 of us. When we asked for extra spoons they brought out packaged plastic utensils ??? - a lot of young and rowdy patrons, just to keep in mind the ambiance Genuinely shocking experience. Please do better!

Our server was accommodating and direct, and offered some suggestions since it was our first time in. Their smash burger was awesome, 4 of us ordered it and all enjoyed it! Get it the chefs way, you won't be disappointed. Their Bloody Mary was just ok, it's a premix so it's either spicy or not, maybe ask for some Tabasco to add if you want it a tad spicy. They also offer a clam chowder in a bread bowl and tons of other seafood options, definitely recommend coming here if not for a full meal, just for some apps and a drink to enjoy the view.

Service was good and the staff were friendly. We went on a Tuesday and they offered drink and food specials. I ordered the seafood pasta along with a mezcal and Mexican candy shot. Unfortunately, the pasta was very underwhelming. There was a good amount of seafood in it and the sauce ratio was perfect, but it lacked so much flavor. I tried adding salt and pepper, but it just didn't fix the problem. In speaking to my colleagues, the majority of them said their food lacked flavor as well. The food definitely has potential.

Apparently they have a problem with people leaving without paying their bill so they take your last name and phone number before seating you. I went during the happy hour. The happy hour prices were good. I got a salmon avocado roll for $10 and the chicken wings for $10. The only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 is because the food looked really good but it only tasted ok. Wasn't bad but wasn't amazing either. The Huli huli wings had a sauce that was too sweet for me. I asked for a side of buffalo sauce and thankfully they had some. Next time I'll probably ask if they can just make them buffalo wings instead. The lady next to me had the happy hour burger and she said it was good. I'd be curious to go back and try other things on the menu and see if they are better. Wish they had a slightly bigger happy hour menu with more items. However, the view is amazing at this place. Can't beat sitting by the water! There were a decent amount of flies but I appreciate them trying to solve that problem by adding the little fan contraptions at each table.

The food was great, but the hospitality was what really stood out. Our waiter, Quinten, was incredibly kind and went completely above and beyond for our family. When we mentioned that our son loves fire trucks, he actually ran over to the local firehouse to see if they might be willing to let us come by and see the trucks. They said yes -- and it turned into such a special and unexpected part of our day. That kind of kindness means so much, especially during a trip that already carries a lot of emotion for our family. Quinten didn't have to do any of that, but he took the time to make our son feel special. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and truly top-notch hospitality. When we went to get sat the table was dirty and while it did get wiped down, I've never liked sitting at a wet table. Second, we got our appetizers and didn't have any silverware. Lastly, before our food even arrived, our server stated that the kitchen was closing soon and they were sending her home for the night and asked if we can close our check. I was a bit flabbergasted as I was thinking who was going to check on us to make sure the food was okay, if we needed anything else such as water refills, or boxes for our food when we finished. I'm just a little bit confused how you can expect a tip if you give us partial service. When the server brought the kiosk the pay she stood there in our face while we were completing the payment, making it an uncomfortable situation and very uncouth. Towards the end of our meal, we were able to flag a Manager down and express our concerns about this, and he was very kind and listened to everything we had to say, I believe his name was Luke. Nevertheless, the food was good and the manager was nice, I'm glad we were able to tell someone about this.
