Steak frites
Shaurita H.

I was not sure if I would like this place, but I loved it. Everyone who worked here had immaculate energy and enthusiasm. I ordered the steak frites. This steak was absolutely great. The fries were fresh, but not my favorite thing. The steak was tender, buttery, and flavorful. I also got a gin and tonic. Very good drink. Very string drink. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

Another super fun Elite Yelp Event. Bardog Tavern in downtown Memphis which is known for its cozy pub vibe and solid comfort food. The food hit the spot, we did enjoy some of their popular picks like: Warm sauté onion soup. penne pasta. And deli subs. All fresh ingredients. The best ; A sandwich stacked with bacon, egg, ham and cheese, a Grilled chicken Club was hearty and flavorful, it must was the breakfast slider- and the grilled cheese, with layers of cheese and spices and the Bloody Marys are ...Yumm!!! The laid-back atmosphere, friendly staff, and late-night hours make it a favorite for locals and visitors. I'm sure there is also live music on specific nights. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Hats off to another Exceptional ELITE Event!!!

If the food is "next level," let's at least spell it like it deserves --but the vibe you're going for is solid. Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Staff is friendly, fast, and actually cares about the experience.

Snow storm in Memphis
Jason K.

One of a few places open in the "Snow Storm" in Memphis. Us from Colorado snickered at the 6 inches of snow. But the owner personally drove to pick up his staff. It was awesome. Customer for life here. Best staff ever.

We had our Yelp event here yesterday, and it was a lot of fun! Bardog is in Downtown Memphis, and it's a must try for anyone that loves the bar scene. Bardog is standard as far as noise level and has an adequate amount of space. There are two floors, with the bottom floor having its own bar and available for private events. The servers were nice and the food we had was great.

Had the best shot I have ever had here!!! Give it a try. It is called "The Mel". The service was great. Sat at the bar. The atmosphere is dive bar but a good dive bar. Definitely go here if you are in Memphis.

Mother Clucker
Natasha M.

Great atmosphere for hanging out with friends and getting a good bite to eat. I liked the Mother Clucker sandwich which was a good portion and very filling. The service was good too because the bartender came over to my table to confirm my order after I stepped away from the bar because there was a substitution. Overall, over my many visits, this was definitely one of the best.

Classic 10/10 always hits the spot. Glad you can pick between 3 & 5 I think before you just got 5 automatically.

After needing a break from the downtown area, I stumbled upon this spot for some food and drinks. It is dive bar vibes, the bartenders are awesome, and the food was tasty after a long day out. I enjoyed my time here, and not to mention the free shot I got to take with the whole bar really added to the experience. I would come back here if I am ever in Memphis again.

MONSTER Vegetarian Burrito
Brenna P.

I was tired of all the BBQ and southern fried goodness my friends and I had tried while spending a week in Memphis. We decided we wanted to go to a more authentic and local place and found this gem. We stopped in here on a Friday evening. The upstairs was very busy so we headed downstairs where there are several tables and another full bar. We were quickly seated and given our drinks. Bardog is divey (I do LOVE a good dive bar), but the food is anything but standard bar fare. There was something for everyone's dietary preference in my group. The menu features several cuisines including Italian, Tex-Mex, and American. There are vegetarian options available and I chose the Monster Vegetarian Burrito with a side of asparagus. It's filled with pico, black beans, rice, shredded cheese and other veggies. Of all the places in Memphis, this was the best meal I had hands down. Our server was fast and had good recommendations. Food and drink prices are very reasonable, especially considering its proximity to the tourist haunts. I would definitely recommend.

The 4 dollar millers
Ana M.

So first of all 5 stars for Leslie. She gave outstanding service and was super kind. But that's where the fun stop. When you first get there they act like you're a school shooter and wand you down, he also made me open my jacket so he could pat me down as well. I just want yall to know it's never that deep. That was the beginning to the end. Once we were seated we ordered food and drinks and here comes so tall guy with a baseball cap on telling my friend Wes he couldn't wear a backwards baseball cap because it was against there policy. . . Ok so I will also post their policy on wardrobe so you can see it's not on there.. anywhere. Anyway the pasta was bland. The shot was ok the only good thing is they have miller high life for 4 dollars. Save your coins. Go somewhere nicer. Two stars for Leslie. Cause I had to give stars.

Any eatery worth its salt...
Caveat E.

Bottom Line: If you're in downtown Memphis, this place is worth a stop for a late afternoon refreshment and very solid food. Found this great place literally tucked away in the streetscape. It's got great, old time, city public house feel (despite the "tavern" moniker) with lots of dark, warm tones. Very decent beer selection in bottles and on tap but they really ought to have more than the obligatory Guinness as a dark offering (I.e., Porter) but this is not a show stopper as the Yuengling on tap was a decent stand in. They also have plenty from which to pick your poison in cocktails. The food was solid--well prepared, generous portions, and I have to say, crafted with obvious care in prep and presentation (you get way less and pay a lot more in supposed many star restaurants). Note, throwback alert, smoking is allowed in the main level bar but there is a non-smoking section downstairs though only one guy was actually smoking so it was not even noticeable--and hey, it's a bar!...so don't come here with some fancy-shmancy yuppy new age sensibility--love it for what it is. Give these guys a try.

Best hot dog in town. Excellent meatball sandwich. Ahi tuna wontons are great. Shoestring fries with the garlic aioli is a late night treat.

The food was fine but our meal took forever because each person's food was delivered one person at a time, and so slowly that #1 was finished before #2 arrived. There were four of us. It was excruciating. We finally asked about our last person and realized the order hadn't been put in, and when it was brought out it was missing a side. I don't know what was off, but it was not a good experience. The vibe wasn't bad, and the food was great. I think on a better night it could be a great place to go.

Wow...just wow! This is a beautiful restaurant that's only open for dinner. It's definitely a…read moredress-to-impress kind of place, with excellent service and very unique food. The idea of serving "flights" of entrees with three small plates equaling the size of one main entree...so cool! And you can mix and match, though I opted for the traditional Fish flight. This included haddock on a delicious rock shrimp risotto, Chilean sea bass (delicious) over black rice, and some salmon over a puree. Everything was amazing...and even the three small plates were more than enough food. I do wish we'd saved room for the dessert flight.

Alright, lets get into this…read more.. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised...Flight is in a tough location because parking isnt exactly ideal but as soon as you walk up, a hostess opens the door and welcomes you in. I didnt get photos of the restaurant but they have a really cool split floor design, we got to sit upstairs. I recommend you sit upstairs it possible because the first floor gets louder faster if that makes sense. Plenty of very attentive and friendly staff so you will need for nothing while you are there. Now for the food...we started off with the SNAKE RIVER FARMS WAGYU CARPACCIO. It was . My only critique if I had one; I wish it had a little more carpaccio. Now before I get into entree's let me explain how "Flight" works...You can order a single large entree for dinner, orrrrrrr, if you're like me and LOVE food, you can order a flight of three smaller portions of the entree's! Bring your appetite (and your platinum card). I ordered a three entree flight of Bison Ribeye, roasted duck breast and the chilean sea bass. I would rank them in that order although they were all delicious. That bison tho.... The wife ordered a three entree flight of the prime ribeye, sea scallops, and the twin lobster tails. She wasnt a huge fan of the prime ribeye, she said it was a little tough. She loved the scallops and lobster (although she will never forgive herself for dropping a huge piece of lobster on the floor). Oh and her scallops came with this gnocchi that was TO DIE FOR!!!! We finished the night off with a three dessert flight of pistachio mousse, lava cake and apple walnut cobbler. The pistachio mousse was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. She loved her apple cobbler. We werent huge fans of the lava cake. It just didnt have that nostalgic lava cake taste and texture. That and the peppermint gelato it came with was very strong on the peppermint. Im sure some would love it but it just wasnt for us. Last piece Ill mention is just the effort and attention to detail. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary glasses of champagne (thank you). They are very deliberate in how they move, their table settings and our server knew her restaurant like a pro. Even down to the way they stage your silverware knowing how their flight plates take up table space. Bravo, Great experience! Definitely a little too pricey to be a frequent spot, but great for special occasions!

Later during the meal, he admits that Momma's is one of his spots, so that's saying a lot. It sort of looked like another bar/restaurant from the outside, but they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking an old decrepit building which is at least some scenery. Once inside, you'll quickly see it's highly decorated and has a claim to be one of the only trucker themed bars in the US. Inside is decked out to the ceilings with signs, neon, old mirrors, collectibles, and many other items. I swear it looks like it's been in business for 30+ years, but my client said only a couple of years. I looked over the basic menu and saw burgers, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, a famous pork chop, wings and a few other items. The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good. Overall, I really liked this place and it's one of the best meals I've had in Memphis the handful of times I've visited.

This should be an embarrassment for them to do something like that I know it's Horn Lake and Horn Lake has a bad rap of having some of the worst restaurants on the planet (fast food and dine in) but they could at least try. They're Cajun pasta was so bad my wife had to add Cajun seasoning to it to make it half way descent The fried sucked, the baked beans were actually good 3.5 star good ,I remember when they first opened up here they were awesome but now they are just over priced mediocre food. The Corky's BBQ ribs you buy at Kroger are better than these ribs 100% better so don't waste your money on the ribs they're barbecue sandwiches might be good I haven't tried one of them yet this year I don't know if I ever will be but their ribs were a disgrace to Memphis barbecue all together there are tons of locally owned Memphis barbecue shacks with 100% better ribs in these so don't believe the hype also the service is ok I guess, well the people at the door let me know where to go to pick up my food but know One was there for me to check in with so I just looked for my name on the shelf, the ambients was that of any BBQ place . They do not have an app in the play store so you will have to go to their website to order, and do not believe the pickup time as your food will be sitting there getting cold before you even think of heading there to pick it up , they are pretty quick with getting them together so that's a good thing if you dine in
