Collected, antique breakfast spot. Very kind servers and reasonably priced. Food is solid, traditional, breakfast food. Not many unique flavors or dishes. Will be coming back for their service and vibe.

This place is the best! 80%of everything they make is from scratch, including the burger! The homey touches of fresh burger and a little brand on top of the bun, just too cool! Flavor, freshness, hard to beat. BUT - the home-made chips were pretty great too, again made fresh daily! The pickle on the side tops it all off. I came in around 12:45 on a Saturday, so after the lunch rush. Was greeted at the door with a smile and seated quickly, the service only went up from there! Erin was friendly and smiling the whole time! Did I mention the military/first responders discount??? Will I go back? Again and again!

Simple breakfast and burger place. The barbed wire burger had ham and bacon and just about everything under the sun. Love a great burger. It is the decor that makes this place fun. A lot of vintage signs. Great place for a friendly lunch or breakfast.

Outdoor signage with beautiful blue skies!

What a delightful brunch experience! Everything about this place from it's cute exterior, welcoming staff and reasonably priced menu will make you want to come back for more. I ordered their 2 egg, toast and 1/2 meat ($8), while my husband ordered their breakfast burrito with side of choice of potato. ($10). All prices included tax! You are surrounded by so much Plainwell/Michigan/Farming memorabilia it's difficult to see everything at once. Their television had classic Bugs Bunny cartoons from the 40's playing in the background, which I absolutely loved! Our very nice server was prompt and the food was all very good. Everyone who came in was greeted warmly and you got the sense that you were visiting with close family. Just a great experience all around.

Tables all have fun trinkets!

I am so happy I stumbled across this cafe! Many available tables during the week and great staff with awesome customer service. You won't get bored waiting for your food as there are multiple trinkets and antiques to gaze upon. My coffee was always full and hot!! Food portions are large with fair pricing. Interesting yet fun daily specials. I do know they're looking for wait staff if you're interested :)

Biscuits and gravy and bacon and two eggs over medium all really good. The service is good and the ambiance is great whenever I'm in there

Food is horrible, undercooked hash browns, the gravy tastes canned- obviously not homemade.

BEYOND OUTSTANDING. Having over 50 years of high end dining experiences and working for an…read moreexclusive country club as catering sales and social director, I have high (some say unreasonably high) expectations as a patron of self proclaimed "fine dining" establishments. With that said...I was beyond impressed!! From my first phone call, to make a dinner reservation (on the day of) for a table of 5 for my birthday, through to the most delectable dessert (huge selection of fresh, pastry chef created desserts), the service, entrée, appetizer and martini was out of this world. And the ROLLS. Warm, soft and beyond delicious. When we looked online at the menu and saw the prices; at first it was a real "eye roll". WORTH EVERY CENT! Very generous portions for every course. The feedback I would offer on the haricot vert (green beans).is they were not just al dente but very hard to bite into. Fingerlings not flavorful and mostly tasteless. Minor details when looking at the total meal and experience. We asked that the lighting be dimmer and our amazing server, Taylor was pleasant and accommodating. In fact, every motion and explanation of menu items was kind, pleasant and professional. When she approached the table, she was respectful before speaking and did NOT just breeze by with an intrusive screech of "everything ok guys?". Frankly, we tip more when a server is available and not overbearing. She was a 5 star server! Offering to pack our leftovers for us in the kitchen with a note on the box stating what was inside and a "happy birthday" on mine. A lit candle came out on my HUGE portion of tiramisu. Then the remaining desserts came to thd table that were also very generous in size and better than the usual "homemade". Cheers to the pastry chef and ALL the chefs in the kitchen. And, most of all, to the owners that clearly are committed to quality and integrity. Knowing that our server has been in your employ for 14 years speaks volumes! If you (the reader) think that this fantastic experience is out of your budget...skip a couple Starbucks or fast food lunches and it won't take you long to save enough to enjoy a beautiful lunch or dinner at Four Roses. We stopped into Four Roses today to celebrate an anniversary with expected excellent food. We have had great experiences in the past. I ordered the rainbow trout and my spouse requested the beef fillet. We were both disappointed with our food. My fish was an almost dry fillet with little flavor and a few capers thrown on top. Her fillet was disappointing in size and tenderness for the $25 price tag. We had also been plated a carrot and green bean dish but the beans were quite raw and very crunchy. A pricy disappointment.

We came here recently after a tornado had tore through town the day prior and the place was packed but they didn't skip a beat. Everything came out fairly quickly, fresh, hot and with a smile. They allowed the guests to charge phones and devices while they were there and it was lovely. Our kids enjoy going here also. The pancakes are fluffy and as large as a plate. The cinnamon rolls are huge and they have a very dark cinnamon icing on them, not your typical white cream cheese or powdered sugar icing. The country fried steak is also very good. If you prefer sour dough toast, you will not be getting that here but that's ok because the other options are still great. Sitting at the kitchen table/bar/community table is always fun. I don't think you'll get anything here you don't like. The breakfast bowl is huge and has all the meat and veggies you could be looking for. So if you're hungry, go for that! If there is a wait to be seated, I promise it's going to be worth it.

Time to see if it was worth the stop. Y'all. It's totally worth the stop. This shop is super cute, the employees are AMAZING and the coffee and treats are top notch. My wife and I enjoyed two of their signature drinks, and our kids demolished the macarons. The menu is pretty big for a cafe, and they have their own bakers in house. When I expressed interest in ordering a cake, one of the bakers came up from the back to talk time through the cake, listing option after option. Very impressive. Let's just say I took a frequent buyer card to add some more punches down the road.

They were really good to work with as my only requirement was to have 2 birthday cake flavor macarons. The coffee was good too ;) but I got no photo. In the beginning of Covid they had a pickup/ordering window. I was slightly disappointed to see that had been removed and you must go in now, but they are requiring masks and have a table between the cashier and myself. My only thing was that because the cupcakes were refrigerated, I think that affected the crispness of the outer layer of the macarons. Last time i had one from here it was much flakier and light on the outside. Still tasted great tho!!
