    Crispy Chicken Cesar
    Tatiana A.

Loved this place so much! I am a softie for cute cafes that have a tasty menu items. My friend recommended this location and I had to give it a try. The cafe serves up authentic Portuguese cuisine as well as traditional menu items. My friend and I arrived around 10:30 am and it was already full which is a good sign to me. My friend and I decided to order two meals and split so we ordered the crispy chicken Cesar sandwich and the Juan's which is a chicken shepherds pie (they have a beef option and veggie option). Both were amazing and so flavorful. The chicken Cesar was the best sandwich I've had so far! We also ordered an açaí shake and I also ordered the pineapple Mint (added sugar). Ambiance was super modern and loved the color and details. It is a medium sized location but super worth the trip. Staff was very friendly as well and attentive. I didn't get a chance to try the dessert but they looked fantastic. Can't wait to be back.

Came across this cute coffee shop/cafe driving up and down the avenue and have always wanted to stop by. They've really decorated for the holiday season with a huge snowman and cute decor outside and inside. They've even customized a winter menu and I ordered the Christmas cappuccino that came in a festive snowman mug and sprinkles on top. Tasty too! Inside they are going for a French bistro like feel with cute tables and chairs. I dig it! They offer a mix of Portuguese and Brazilian savory snacks, pastries, small bites, and meals. We ordered the Brazilian empanada with shredded chicken and cheese and it didn't disappoint. The volcano carrot cake with chocolate was great too. The server was super friendly and was quick to recommend some of the customers' favorite orders so I recommend stopping by and enjoying this gem if you're in the Kearny area.

My friends and I ordered their toter tots, crispy chicken and chocolate bubble waffles with milk tea ice cream to share and I ordered their jasmine tea with cheese foam. Our order was ready a lot quicker than I had expected. The taiwanese crispy chicken was crispy, juicy and tender as they used chicken thighs for it. It was also well seasoned and tasted authentic. The tater tots were also perfectly fried as it was super crispy and they were sprinkled with the same seasoning as the chicken. The bubble waffle was the biggest surprise for me as I have never found a place that does it right (texture wise). This is the place! The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and the batter wasn't too floury as I have often found in other places. But that could also be because we ordered chocolate flavor so I should try their original next time. My only complaint is it didn't have enough chocolate taste for me. The milk tea ice cream, although wasn't the best I've had but it's decent and you can still taste the tea. My jasmine tea with cheese foam was fragrant and the cheese foam complimented the tea well and didn't make it overly filling. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I've ordered here and it's perfect for a mid day or late night snack and drink. I have been to other locations in the area and thought they're not as good as this one so I will have to come back to this location especially for their bubble waffles.

($9) it wasn't spicy enough (for spice lovers) but they were kind enough to add more we also tried the pineapple mango tea drink -- 30% sugar was more than enough because of the natural sugar !

Two floors with the main floor having tons of bar stools, Tabes and a lower nook area with a larger table and some couches. Upstairs offers a long community table with window lounge seating bright and even whimsical with a lovely floor to ceiling book case. Menu offers snacks, small bites and more substantial meal options. They also do a happy hour special beginning at 4! I opted for a dirty chai (5/5) and scrambled egg and cheddar sandwich (5/5) both were delish! Appreciated the side salad as well! If you're looking for a spot to work, meet a friend or enjoy some time to your self reading a book definitely check it out. Staff is friendly, noise is reasonable and not disruptive, space is bright and open. Free WiFi. Plenty of places nearby if you wanted to try another spot for food. The only bummer is the Parking. There is street or nearby parking lot but street parking was full even at 9:30 AM the lot is covered but $5 for 2 hours and up from there.

The ambiance is cheerful and inviting, it transported us to a warm island day for our brief stay. It seems there was only one barista working that day and she was very helpful, patient, and friendly. My husband ordered the Cremas Latte and oh my god I wish I got it, it was so delicious; creamy, flavorful and sweet. I ordered the iced toasted almond "hot" chocolate, it was a very rich dark chocolate taste with the amaretto flavor coming through nicely. It was not overly sweet which I enjoyed. I think this is how hot chocolate was meant to taste and I'll be curious to try it hot. I also appreciated that there was some of my drink that didn't fit in the cup, so the barista gave it to me in another cup. My son ordered a Golden Mango Smoothie- he loved it! I love that it has turmeric in it, I felt good letting him have this drink. We also got some snacks. We ordered the Haitian beef patties which were very authentic. You get two per order which was a nice surprise. My son wanted to eat all 4 from our two orders. We also ordered a mini chocolate cake which was decadent and moist and a mini key lime pie which was refreshing and delicious! It was really nice being able to go to a Haitian cafe. My husband and son are Haitian and we enjoyed teaching our son about his culture while he can enjoy treats made with imported Haitian ingredients and recipes. He also enjoyed looking at the art work which prompted him to ask my husband more questions. I only wish there was better parking, especially for us out-of-towners, but I know that is hard in a city.
