    Dining room light fixture
    Carlos N.

Great Electrician company to have in your contractors network. They installed a light and switch, and ran the power line, to give us this beautiful light fixture in our living room. I really appreciate how respectful they were with the house, and how clean they work. While performing the work, they also identify a faulty 2-way switch on our hallway light, which they fixed on the spot. Both the light fixture and the hot fix were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for all your electrical needs! We'll be going to them for our future projects.

We have worked with Manfredo for many years, he did a Lutron Radio Ra3 system for us very happy with the outcome - he is very knowledgeable, meticulous and reliable - great qualities for an electrician :-)

Manfredo was the best! He quickly changed the ballast and provided wire nuts to do so.

Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

The project did take longer than initially expected due to delays outside of their control, but the quality of the work never wavered. From the beginning, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. They explained what needed to be done, why it mattered, and what to expect at each step, which made a potentially stressful process feel very manageable. Raushan, the project manager, was great to work with and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was responsive, organized, and always made sure we were informed and comfortable with the plan. Alex, one of the technicians, worked incredibly hard during the rewire and clearly took pride in his work. Bek, another technician, truly went above and beyond - paying close attention to the details and making sure everything was done perfectly, not just "good enough." Beyond the rewire, they handled multiple additional electrical upgrades and fixes around the house, all done cleanly and correctly. What really stood out was trust. Having a crew in your home for a major electrical project isn't easy, but we always felt confident that they had our best interests in mind. No corner-cutting, no unnecessary upsells, just solid, high-quality work. The crew was respectful, showed up when they said they would, and stayed focused until the job was fully complete. I highly recommend Max Electric and would absolutely hire them again!

BV Electric able to…read moreupdate an old knob-and-tube electrical system to add additional outlets and lines despite being in a 2nd floor condo. Previously there was one two-prong outlet per bedroom, and the 1750sqft condo was on one line. With 4 people living in the condo, this was a disaster because it meant if someone was running the washer or dryer in one room, another person was playing video games or in a Zoom meeting, and a third person had the audacity to attempt to blow-dry their hair or vacuum, the entire condo would lose power and we'd have to navigate down the condo stairs in the dark and outside to reset the breaker. BV Electric put 4 new lines in and 8 or 9 outlets across 4 rooms (the living room and three of the bedrooms) for an affordable price. If we happen to trip a breaker now (which is very rare and our own fault for overloading with too much in one room), at least the entire house doesn't go dark and the Internet remains on as we keep it on a separate line with just the TV. This has saved us a ton of headache, not to mention helped our employment as we stopped spontaneously dropping off business Zoom calls due to losing power across the whole condo.

I reached out to several highly rated handymen on Yelp. Norman was the only one who asked a bunch of questions by text, asked for measurements and pictures and videos, told me to buy particular materials and measure/test them and send him pictures, etc in advance to make sure everything would work. His estimate for the work was similar to what others quoted and I appreciated his attention to detail before even arriving so I hired him for the work. With some of the parts of the job, there would have been no way for it to have been done when he was here if Norman hadn't done all this detail-oriented planning in advance. When at my home he told me what was cosmetic and what needed to be fixed to avoid damage. He told me what he wasn't comfortable doing or he didn't think needed to be done. He had creative solutions to making things work (altering a standard closet bracket from Ace hardware to fit in a closet with weird dimensions). He explained what he was doing and why and showed me how to do a few things on my own. He was open to feedback when I was a perfectionist and asked him to go back over an area he had patched/painted. An example of Norman going above and beyond: There was a small crack in the wall I had asked him to patch/paint. While other handymen would have done it and left it at that, Norman investigated to find out the cause (cracked caulk on the outside window pane) and offered to fix it. Very knowledgable, detail-oriented, skilled, and kind. Stop scrolling and bookmarking and hire Norman!

Norman looked at the bathroom faucet and advised me to get a plumber out to fix it. He went through the work of taking out the cabinet drawer, phoned a plumber friend, but no work could be done by him. Not an issue, I understand a plumber was needed, but the project wasn't completed by him. For the shower re-caulking project, he said the existing grout was an issue so he only caulked the perimeter of the tub and didn't re-caulk the walls. Also not an issue, but the job wasn't completed as intended. Norman still charged me $450. I asked him, "still? Even with the bathroom sink not fixed and the shower not fully re-caulked?" He just looked at me and nodded his head. I paid him the $450 but I don't feel great about it. I feel like there should have been a price adjustment because I agreed to $450 under the impression all 3 projects would have been completed. Kitchen faucet looks great and no leaks. I know Norman is a professional and does solid work.
