I was worried about an intermittent issue I couldn't reproduce on demand with a single room/circuit -- I didn't think I was overloading it, but I don't know much about electricity except to respect it and call a professional. Yonny was the first to reply when I sent requests for quotes. I had already rewired the house and upgraded the panel five years earlier and I worried something in the walls was amiss or I that I really had been overloading the circuit. Yonny was confident the issue was more likely with the circuit breaker itself being faulty. He walked me through his reasoning: - he saw the affected room's setup and didn't think it could overload a properly wired circuit. - Then, he was impressed at how well the previous electrician wired the breaker panel. - And, he knew the type of AFCI circuit breaker that was tripping is known to fail faster than traditional circuit breakers. So between those choices his money was on the circuit breaker itself. He replaced it quickly with a traditional circuit breaker, which turned out to be the cheapest and fastest option. He could have taken advantage investigating and putting holes in walls (and I probably would have been none the wiser), but I respected his integrity. I haven't had any issues since he completed his repair, so I guess Yonny was right! read more

Yonny responded to my Yelp quotation I sent a few days ago. He gave me a competitive price for the two outlets I needed for my bidet. Full disclosure, he is an electrician so he told me that he does not patch or paint. He did refer me to a handyman he has worked with in the past so I am looking forward to that. TLDR; Yonny and Zion Electric were responsive, prompt, courteous, effective and we would call them again! We've lived in this condo unit for 2 years, and since we moved in (2023) we had occasional lights flickering throughout the unit. We had never got around to calling an electrician until this holiday weekend... I found Yonny through a Yelp search. Within 15 minutes, I received a few responses, one of which was Zion Electric. Yonny's messages to me indicated that he was eager to help me out. He texted, "My ETA is 35 minutes. Could you send the picture of your electrical panel please?" Once he arrived, Yonny listened to the events leading up to the repair, and began to take action. Once he found one of the issues, he called me over and explained to me what had happened and what needed to be replaced. Next, he performed additional diagnostics on our main circuit breaker and discovered low amperage coming into the unit. Within a few minutes, he was able to pinpoint the issue at the main building electrical panel and was able to resolve the low amperage coming into our unit - no more flickering lights! Yonny fixed wiring issues in my home and was very professional. The living room LED light didn't last long, and when I replaced an outlet on the same circuit, the light stopped working. He also found that the ground wire had current running through it, which isn't supposed to happen, and it had shocked me before. He fixed the wiring properly. He also corrected the downstairs bathroom outlet, which had a 16-gauge wire that shouldn't have been used. If he sees something that doesn't look right, he doesn't ignore it -- he explains the issue and takes care of it. Pricing was better than expected and diagnostic was free.
