I hired Jovan to install a new large 36" chandelier. What impressed me about Jovan was his expertise and courteous manner. He also prepped the surrounding area with a drop cloth and plastic to contain the debris. That was really important as the chandelier is in the same room with my beloved grand piano. Since then, I have hired Jovan to work on my rental properties. He has installed electric baseboard Heaters, emergency LED lights, and rewired other upgrades in an efficient manner. His pricing has been reasonable and fair. Glad to have found him on Yelp! read more

How or why this guy is so highly rated I don't know. Jovan seemed so thoughtful when I spoke to him. He said he'd come out to give me a quote after seeing the work that was needed but never showed up. On the day he was supposed to show up 2 hours past the approximate time expected I texted Jovan. He responded with an apology and said he was running late. Jovan assured me he was still coming by at another agreed time. He also said he'd text me with a one hour window of arrival. NO TEXT NO SHOW! Jovan wasted a full day of our time. read more

WOW I'm impressed. Jovan is the man! He helped me out with my electrical issues. I had a bad connection somewhere and I reached out to him on yelp for a quote. I found out a gfi connection was bad, whatever that is! He was quick to respond and I got a quote for him to come in. Usually calling is always best for yelp quotes. Fair enough because that's how it works with these electrical guys. Came in on time and explained to me what was going on with details. Luckily it wasn't that big of an issue. Took him a little over an hour so he had to add to the final invoice which is fairly priced. The guy is a one man team so perfect of these household work. I love working with small businesses, all the bigger guys charge way higher. No issues what so ever so and very professional. I will hire him again for my other projects in lighting that I need. Awesome job. THANK YOU!! 10/5 stars lmao read more

Green Earth Electric - The work in progress! - Electricians Near Me

Update: he eventually showed up several days later, and did solve one at least somewhat complex shorting problem, so I'm upgrading the review to 3 stars. Still waiting on the follow up visit. He's a nice guy to interact with, when he shows up, but so far great patience has been required. I would think after over a week of waiting patiently, I would be at the top of the list to just finish, but so far not the case. Very nice guy though, and at least fairly good competence when here, but jury is still out. Communication about delays and no shows leaves a lot to be desired. Previously I wrote: No show, and I even texted yesterday afternoon to make sure we were on, partially because of the recent no show review. I waited 2 full hours, and was at the house a few minutes early, so there is no way this is my fault. Things happen, but ghosting me when we had an appointment is uncool and set me back as I try to get my house ready to sell and am trying to leave town. read more

Jovan came promptly to our home and gave us extremely fair prices. He provides great consultative advice and doesn't try to make you pay more than you need. Looking forward to working together. More updates to come. read more

He did a wonderful job putting in a plug for an electric car. Fast, efficient, good price, nice person

Jovan was incredibly patient and took care of everything. He coordinated with PG&E (who took quite a while to approve our request for panel upgrade) and took care of everything. He had great prices and was so reliable and responsive. Definitely would use him again! read more

Excellent service on adding some outlets and ring floodlight cameras. Would recommend his services.

This dude is the best. I'll never go with another electrician. His work is clean, very professional, communicative, punctual, easy to work with, reasonably priced. The total package. read more

I had a couple simple tasks: change 2 breakers & rewire an outlet. Jovan was timely, professional, a good communicator and on time. I would highly recommend him for your electrician needs. read more

Jovan is amazing ! I had multiple electric companies come and quote redicilous prices for adding subpanel and wiring three 240v lines to all the three bedrooms i have. A lot of the other companies were overcomplicating the issue and adding all kinds of weird cost. Jovan came by, and thought about the issue and how to best /(cost effective) address it. After adding subpanel, he managed to route the cables between the walls through attic for a very clean install. I have to note others were planning to do complex and expensive routing through the exterior of the house (which is also uglier). I was amazwd by Jovans expertise and quick followthrough. Also unlike many contractors he is actually on time and checked in the days before. As a plus he gave me great advice for free on finding studs and mounting my tv, which i was doing in parallel myself. Thanks! read more

We needed an electrician to install canned lighting in our house. Based on great Yelp reviews we decided to go with Jovan. So glad we did. Jovan was terrific. Jovan was friendly and professional in his approach to the project. He did exactly what he said he would do and charged a very fair price for the work. We would not hesitate to use Jovan again and highly recommend him to anyone who needs an electrician. read more

The task was to do wiring and hole drilling for three ceiling lights + installation of dimmers. Some of them had compromised access and required wire fishing. The quality of job is very good and the price is reasonable. If I need something else - I'll chose this service. read more

Jovan is as good as it gets. Extremely Professional and Courteous. Always wearing a smile on his face, even when he came out of the attic with all the sweat, upon my saying about him sweating and feeling bad about the heat, he din't complain about the heat and smiled and said, 'it's OK'. He installed all the recessed lights with extreme precision and clean installation, VERY IMPRESSIVE. Communicates effectively on any challenge he faces. Very reasonable as well. Thanks Jovan, if and when needed, I will be getting in touch with you. read more

Hired Jovan for multiple jobs. He's installed outlets, garage lights, and The Nest Doorbell with Bell chime for us. Very happy with the quality of work he gives. Works fast and efficient. He's very professional who knows what he's doing. Fair pricing. Would definitely hire again for future jobs. read more

Jovan was professional and responsive. He was able to provide a more efficient upgrade of our electrical panel than his competitors.

Jovan showed up right on time, is super easy to communicate with and he's a professional. He didn't end up doing any work on my dad's place because there was just too much for a one-man crew to do, but I have to say, that I appreciate his expertise and his ability to know when to say no to a job. He took some time to assess the situation and I learned a lot about what's actually going on, what I'd be in for if I decided to really fix things right, and what I might be able to live with for a little longer. I really appreciate his expertise and if I had a discrete job (like installing a new outlet or wiring for a new room) I'd call him first. read more

Great reviews here, but I had just an utterly bizarre experience with this guy. He gave a quote to install some recessed lighting that was great, but during the process he wore some super dirty gloves that left fingerprints all over the matte paint on the attic door. Oh well, no big deal... excellent quote and he has amazing reviews... let's book him. The morning before he's scheduled to do the job I emailed asking about the dimmer he's going to install. No response. That evening I call and leave a message to confirm when he's coming the next day. No response. A few minutes before we think he's supposed to be at the house I get an email replying to the one from the day before saying he has the wrong phone number for me (?) and he sprained his ankle the night before and he'll need to reschedule because he can't climb a ladder that day. No mention of my question about the dimmer he was replying to. I wished him a speedy recovery and asked when we can reschedule. Never heard from him again. read more

Echoing all the positive reviews here, we want to join in by adding our own experience of working with Jovan. The job was installing a light fixture in a very high stairwell; the fixture also required a conversion. A lot of electricians wouldn't be bothered, I think. Jovan took all the details by text and had everything ready ahead of time. Communication was excellent. I was prepared for some snags the day of the job, but everything was handled with the greatest degree of competence and pleasantness. Jovan is one of the best tradespeople we've had working in our home. read more

We were able to get a Nest doorbell installed in a timely and efficient manner and at a reasonable cost. The work was done well and greatly appreciated. read more

Before I hired an electrician for the first time, back in 2006, I checked his references and got some wise advice. The reference said that your goal in hiring an contractor should be to get 2 out of the following 3: price, quality, and professionalism. (Turns out with that first electrician we got price. No doubt about that. We got some quality although all of his work on junction boxes had to be redone and the arc fault breakers too. And we got no professionalism. Really the opposite of professionalism. In a big way. You'd be shocked.) Green Earth however delivered on low price, high quality, and professionalism more than anyone I can think of in my 12 years owning this house. I've worked with a lot of contractors who were professional and had high quality work. But no one whose prices were also well below the market average. Jovan was on time (although I forgot to give him our address). He was fast and very professional. The work took about an hour. The lowest of the 3 other bids I got was a little under twice Jovan's labor and materials. He also cleaned up after his work and was super courteous. We are already trying to think of other work for him to do and will use him as long as we can for all of our electrical work. read more

Thank you Yahoo participants! So pleased to find Javon. He quickly resolved kitchen GFCI issues at a very reasonable price.

I am so happy with the work that Jovan did and his high level of professionalism. He is very easy to work with, keeps all his time commitments and meticulous with his craft. I had a Tesla power plug added and some down lighting and we are highly satisfied. Thanks Jovan, we will be using you for all our electric needs. read more

Jovan is outstanding! He replaced three ceiling fans, two chandeliers, outside motion detector light, kitchen, and laundry room light. He checked my address light and it looks like it is too old to fix, but I may replace the whole piece later. He is super reasonable. I felt he deserved more, so I gave it to him in my tip. Did I mention what a nice guy he is? Even my son thought he was really a great guy. Hmmm...what more projects do I finally need to finish? read more

I had a solid experience with Green Earth in April 2021, when Jovan visited my area condo to investigate a failing range hood. He identified an issue with my breaker panel and performed a repair at a fair rate. We discussed future upgrades to the setup to keep it safe and up to code. Fast-forward to November: the new panel Jovan installed failed in a small shower of sparks. I didn't necessarily blame Jovan or Green Electric: for all I know, it was a completely new, unrelated issue. I (calmly, politely) reached out to Jovan to arrange a visit. No reply. I tried the company's customer service portal (twice); no reply. Nearly a month has gone by. Whether the company is simply overstretched or (worse) uncomfortable revisiting work they may have executed improperly, the silence is not what I expected. Needless to say, I've turned to another local company, and everything is fixed and in good shape. I had a good feeling about Green Earth, but the faith was sadly misplaced. read more

Jovan was fantastic -- responsive, quick work, good work, reasonably priced, and a very nice guy. These are not the adjectives I'd use with other electricians I've hired! I think I've finally found a go-to electrician I can rely on (and won't charge astronomical rates). Don't be put off by the few Yelp reviews; he had more, but there was a Yelp glitch. read more

Jovan did a thorough job. Very professional and took the time to explain the problem. Will call him again

Jovan did a great job on an EV charger outlet install work. I highly recommend. Reasonable price. Very professional.

Jovan was so helpful - he gave me great advice, and was accommodating to my schedule (and waited for me when I was late for our appt!). In the end, I couldn't do the project because of some drywall issues. He realized my budget kept me from being able to do a bigger job to get the lights installed, so he was gracious about the job not being do-able. He didn't charge me and was professional in every interaction. I highly recommend him! read more

Jovan was quick to respond, he came by as discussed and fix our load balance issue with our control box. He is an honest man and his price is very reasonable too. I will recommend him any day. read more

Jovan did a wonderful job replacing my bathroom's Hollywood lights with a pair of more contemporary vanity lights, and he didn't even have to cut off a big chunk from the wall. He was also able to repair one from another bathroom which I've been told could not be saved but needed replacement. He showed up early and did the job quickly than I expected. He was professional and courteous. Reasonable pricing and cleaned up well. Would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone looking for a good electrician. read more

Jovan did an excellent job installing a new 4-prong outlet for an electric dryer in my house, which was not an easy task due to the tiny crawl space and distance of the fuse box. He responded to my first email quickly and came out the same day to provide a quote, which he stuck to. The work was professionally done. Jovan was also very respectful and courteous. Definitely recommend. read more
