How or why this guy is so highly rated I don't know. Jovan seemed so thoughtful when I spoke to him. He said he'd come out to give me a quote after seeing the work that was needed but never showed up. On the day he was supposed to show up 2 hours past the approximate time expected I texted Jovan. He responded with an apology and said he was running late. Jovan assured me he was still coming by at another agreed time. He also said he'd text me with a one hour window of arrival. WOW I'm impressed. Jovan is the man! He helped me out with my electrical issues. I had a bad connection somewhere and I reached out to him on yelp for a quote. I found out a gfi connection was bad, whatever that is! He was quick to respond and I got a quote for him to come in. Usually calling is always best for yelp quotes. Fair enough because that's how it works with these electrical guys. Came in on time and explained to me what was going on with details. Luckily it wasn't that big of an issue. Took him a little over an hour so he had to add to the final invoice which is fairly priced. The guy is a one man team so perfect of these household work. I love working with small businesses, all the bigger guys charge way higher. No issues what so ever so and very professional. I will hire him again for my other projects in lighting that I need. Update: he eventually showed up several days later, and did solve one at least somewhat complex shorting problem, so I'm upgrading the review to 3 stars. Still waiting on the follow up visit. He's a nice guy to interact with, when he shows up, but so far great patience has been required. I would think after over a week of waiting patiently, I would be at the top of the list to just finish, but so far not the case. Very nice guy though, and at least fairly good competence when here, but jury is still out. Communication about delays and no shows leaves a lot to be desired. Previously I wrote: No show, and I even texted yesterday afternoon to make sure we were on, partially because of the recent no show review. I waited 2 full hours, and was at the house a few minutes early, so there is no way this is my fault. I hired Jovan to install a new large 36" chandelier. What impressed me about Jovan was his expertise and courteous manner. He also prepped the surrounding area with a drop cloth and plastic to contain the debris. That was really important as the chandelier is in the same room with my beloved grand piano. Since then, I have hired Jovan to work on my rental properties. He has installed electric baseboard Heaters, emergency LED lights, and rewired other upgrades in an efficient manner. Jovan is amazing ! I had multiple electric companies come and quote redicilous prices for adding subpanel and wiring three 240v lines to all the three bedrooms i have. A lot of the other companies were overcomplicating the issue and adding all kinds of weird cost. Jovan came by, and thought about the issue and how to best /(cost effective) address it. After adding subpanel, he managed to route the cables between the walls through attic for a very clean install. I have to note others were planning to do complex and expensive routing through the exterior of the house (which is also uglier). I was amazwd by Jovans expertise and quick followthrough. Also unlike many contractors he is actually on time and checked in the days before. Great reviews here, but I had just an utterly bizarre experience with this guy. He gave a quote to install some recessed lighting that was great, but during the process he wore some super dirty gloves that left fingerprints all over the matte paint on the attic door. Oh well, no big deal... excellent quote and he has amazing reviews... let's book him. The morning before he's scheduled to do the job I emailed asking about the dimmer he's going to install. No response. That evening I call and leave a message to confirm when he's coming the next day. No response. A few minutes before we think he's supposed to be at the house I get an email replying to the one from the day before saying he has the wrong phone number for me (?) and he sprained his ankle the night before and he'll need to reschedule because he can't climb a ladder that day. No mention of my question about the dimmer he was replying to. I wished him a speedy recovery and asked when we can reschedule. Never heard from him again. read more

The job was installing a light fixture in a very high stairwell; the fixture also required a conversion. A lot of electricians wouldn't be bothered, I think. Jovan took all the details by text and had everything ready ahead of time. Communication was excellent. I was prepared for some snags the day of the job, but everything was handled with the greatest degree of competence and pleasantness. Before I hired an electrician for the first time, back in 2006, I checked his references and got some wise advice. The reference said that your goal in hiring an contractor should be to get 2 out of the following 3: price, quality, and professionalism. (Turns out with that first electrician we got price. No doubt about that. We got some quality although all of his work on junction boxes had to be redone and the arc fault breakers too. And we got no professionalism. Really the opposite of professionalism. In a big way. You'd be shocked.) Green Earth however delivered on low price, high quality, and professionalism more than anyone I can think of in my 12 years owning this house. I've worked with a lot of contractors who were professional and had high quality work. But no one whose prices were also well below the market average. Jovan was on time (although I forgot to give him our address). He was fast and very professional. The work took about an hour. The lowest of the 3 other bids I got was a little under twice Jovan's labor and materials. He also cleaned up after his work and was super courteous. We are already trying to think of other work for him to do and will use him as long as we can for all of our electrical work. read more

I had a solid experience with Green Earth in April 2021, when Jovan visited my area condo to investigate a failing range hood. He identified an issue with my breaker panel and performed a repair at a fair rate. We discussed future upgrades to the setup to keep it safe and up to code. Fast-forward to November: the new panel Jovan installed failed in a small shower of sparks. I didn't necessarily blame Jovan or Green Electric: for all I know, it was a completely new, unrelated issue. I (calmly, politely) reached out to Jovan to arrange a visit. No reply. I tried the company's customer service portal (twice); no reply. Nearly a month has gone by. Whether the company is simply overstretched or (worse) uncomfortable revisiting work they may have executed improperly, the silence is not what I expected. Needless to say, I've turned to another local company, and everything is fixed and in good shape. I had a good feeling about Green Earth, but the faith was sadly misplaced. read more

Jovan is the best electrician I've worked with and I've worked with my fair share. He's honest, punctual, reliable, friendly, trustworthy and accommodating. We recently moved into a new home, which required a lot of lighting (30 can lights) and tons of odds and ends. The original scope of work was agreed to prior to us living in the house, but Jovan couldn't start work until about 10 days after we were living there. Let's just say the scope of work doubled after we realized we needed more things done and Jovan was great about it.
