Outstanding Electrical Work - Highly Recommend Abinesh's Electric. Abinesh recently completed a total and complete electrical upgrade on my home, and I could not be more impressed. He came highly recommended by a close friend who used him for her remodel, and he absolutely lived up to that referral. Abinesh is responsive, responsible, and extremely knowledgeable. His understanding of permitting, PG&E requirements, electrical codes, and safety hazards is exceptional. He is truly an authority when it comes to complex situations, especially old, outdated, and antiquated electrical systems. The scope of work included replacing an old sub panel and main panel, installing GFCIs, upgrading fixtures, replacing an old kitchen light, and installing recessed lighting. His workmanship is impeccable -- clean, precise, and done right the first time. Beyond his technical skill, Abinesh is personable, professional, neat, and respectful of the space. He cleans up thoroughly and takes pride in his work, which shows in every detail. If you're looking for an electrician who knows what he's doing, handles complicated jobs with confidence, and delivers high-quality results, Abinesh is the one. I would absolutely use him again and recommend him without hesitation. read more

We have had several great experiences with Abinesh. We first used his services back in 2022 after a serious issue with an electrical outlet in our daughter's bedroom. After an inspection of the conditions of our outlets and main panel, we ended up having him do a complete replacement of our main electrical subpanel and all outlets and switches. He handled all the permits and everything passed on first inspection from the city of Alameda. His most recent work for us this week was to add 3 recessed lights to the kitchen, a new fixture in our upstairs bathroom, and a fix for our porch light. We continue to be impressed by his skill, professionalism, and friendliness. He's great at communicating and working quickly. We will continue to use him for future electrical needs. read more

Did a great job for us recently installing additional ceiling light fixtures and moving a ceiling fan. Reasonably priced, too, and even patched the holes. Best of all, did an EXCELLENT job of explaining the issues and reasoning behind his choices. Would heartily recommend! read more

I found Abinesh in our yellow pages & then saw great reviews of him on YELP. We had him install 3 ceiling fans in our home. Two in the bedrooms which required for him to go to the attic to do the wiring. Upon entry of the attic he noticed there were a lot of mice feces. If it wasn't for him we would not have known the condition there. We immediately had someone come out & clean out the attic. Abinesh returned a few weeks later & was able to install all the fans with proper coding. He does a fantastic job & is a thorough professional. He will do everything according to the requirements of the city & takes pride in his work. I really appreciate him as he is honest & very conscious of his reputation. He will not do anything that would jeopardize the safety of the people living in the house. Thank you Abinesh for everything you did. Now we have some relief in the heat with all the fans... Our house needed a lot of electrical work. Found Abinesh's Electric here on Yelp with very good reviews. Gave him a call and he promptly responded. He installed recessed lights all over the house, updated our electric box/sub panel. He did sooooo much more work, I know I'm leaving things out that he did here. He takes time to explain what needs to be done and is very detailed, honest, and has a very strong work ethic, and was very respectful of our home. He goes above and beyond what is required. We recommend calling Abinesh for your electrical needs. Very happy to have found him! And would use him again. read more

We called Abinesh a few weeks ago to address an urgent electrical situation at our house. I smelled 'electrical smoke' coming out of our sub-panel and called Abinesh late evening. He promptly drove over despite the late hour (dinner time) and quickly diagnosed the issue. Our prior contractor had done a very poor job with electric work in the sub-panel and one of the wires was shorting and sparking! Needless to say this was a real fire hazard and thanks to Abinesh's quick diagnosis and resolution, we averted a major calamity. Abinesh recommended we replace our sub-panel, and explained the reasons behind it. He was never pushy and explained the pros and cons (our's was very old and the prior contractor had violated several codes during his work). It was a sizeable expense but we decided to get it done. Abinesh's quote was right in the middle for a couple of quotes we received. He recommended we get City Permits and got that done promptly. He came by at our chosen date/time and installed a new sub-panel. The work was done very professionally and the final output was a fab looking sub-panel with top notch breakers and an extremely professional job. Abinesh also arranged for the City inspectors to inspect the work and they passed/approved the work Finally, Abinesh is just an amazing guy to talk to/work with. He is a very personable and knowledgeable guy (been in the Electrical business for 30+ years!). He has high EQ and is so easy to work with! I usually don't provide 5 star reviews, but Abinesh has definitely earned it for me (and he didn't prod me to write this review either)! Highly recommended! read more

Abinesh does excellent work. He is very professional and punctual and always a pleasure to work with.

Mr. Abinesh was referred to us by several neighbors and he met high expectations. One of his repeated mottos is to make sure his customers are happy. We feel he achieved that and recommend him highly. The Job: We hired Abinesh's Electric for a number of long-awaited repairs, safety improvements, and quality of life upgrades, including: recessed lights in the living room, bedroom light fixtures, a new electrical panel, pigtailed wires in every outlet (to reduce shock/fire risk from aluminum wiring), and installation of new switches. This took place over the course of several weeks. Work Style & Communications: Mr. Abinesh communicates promptly and reliably with phone calls and text messages, and is careful to set clear expectations on the days and times he will work. On most days, work began with a brief review of what had happened yesterday and what was planned for the day, which gave us a chance to confirm our decisions. He worked very clean, spreading tarps and sweeping up whenever there was a dust risk. Above and beyond: During the job, Mr. Abinesh occasionally brought in packages, took care the dog didn't escape, and used a provided Dremel to expand a tile hole for a kitchen outlet. He provided helpful consulting on options for a motion sensor closet light, saving us from a decision that wouldn't have been up to code (and then installed a motion sensor in the closet ceiling). He also alerted us to a disconnected attic heating duct. COVID & Sharing Space: I'm working from home with a continuous reliance on Internet access. Mr. Abinesh reliably wore a mask and coordinated with me about dropping power to my office space or the internet router. There were two days that this couldn't be avoided, so I made alternate plans. read more

The process of finding the right electrician can be stressful. I recently hired Abinesh as an electrician to help me with a bad circuit problem at my home. Abinesh is a professional electrician with many years of experience, and it shows during his visit to my home. He responded quickly, providing guidance and his own opinions. Abinesh is honest, trustworthy, and hard working. Abinesh answered all my questions. I had a pleasant and knowledgeable experience. If Abinesh says he'll take care of it, you can expect it to be taken care of as promised. The key is communication and Abinesh is excellent at his job. I had the opportunity to call this electricity company. I had a small electrical fire, everyone said they could not come out for at least 4 to 5 days. I called him, he was off that day, and I was so Disturbed, he said he would come and take a look for me on his day off. He came he gave me an estimate I then gave it to my insurance company. That same day the insurance company accepted his estimate, and approved him to come, and he came the very next day. That is what I call excellent excellent service. I would recommend Abinesh 's electric to everyone. On a scale of 1 to 10, I gave this company a 15. Excellent service, thank you so much. read more

Mr. Abinesh was referred to us by a neighbor who had worked with him in the past. Superb service by a highly skilled and quite personable professional. I give my highest recommendation.

Mr Abinesh came highly recommended from my neighbor's on Facebook. I called him about installing some recessed lighting in my dining and living room. He was up front about what he thought would look good, how many exact lights and size of each lights and the total cost of the project. His pricing is fair and he is very communicative and responsive. He would inform me if there were any issues and we would troubleshoot the issue together. It didn't take him long to complete the project and I love my new lights now! When other electrical issues (not necessarily related to the recessed lighting) started coming up a few days later he would come by to try and help fix. He would come by on a holiday and weekends to try and make things right. He really cared about doing a good job and wanting to ensure I was satisfied with everything. Highly recommend! read more

I was introduced to Mr. Abinesh as a highly recommended electrician. There were at least a dozen homes in my neighborhood that had contracted with Mr. Abinesh for electrical jobs over the years. I worked with Mr. Abinesh to upgrade my subpanel and install 20 wafer recessed lights in my home. From start to finish, it was a delight to work with Mr. Abinesh. He's honest, professional, reasonable, and personable. Throughout the job, he would take the time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it, and take my feedback. I was very impressed with Mr. Abinesh's pride in craft, to the point where he wouldn't cut into the drywall until he was 110% sure there were no obstructions and received my approval. Finally, even after the job, Mr. Abinesh made it clear to me that in the case I wasn't 100% satisfied with the job or needed him to review something, he would make the time to ensure any questions or concerns were addressed. As a testament to his high quality work, I had no further concerns after the job. I would recommend Mr. Abinesh again for any future electrical jobs. read more

If you're looking for a quality electrician who's out to do legit work for the best interest of your family's safety, then this is the guy. If you're looking for cheap, quick work, look elsewhere. As is usually the case, you get what you pay for. We live in Alameda and our community recently had original breakers causing fires (50+ yrs old) and our home was at similar risk. From the process of engaging Abinesh, working with him to get permit, and the day of the work, Abinesh was very transparent, responsive, and informative every step of the way. While I'm no electrician, he made sure I understood what he was doing, the options, and issues / risks he had found in my home, reassuring me that he took care of all necessary risks for the safety of my family. While it wasn't cheap, I am satisfied customer and will return. Out of courtesy, he also helped address an electrical issue that was the result of shoddy work from prior owners and it even helped revitalize a non-working outlet. read more

I called Abinesh about fixing some outlets and switches which were not functioning. He was able to come and take a look the same day. He was very professional and did some free diagnostics at the panel. He gave me two options, a flat fee or an hourly rate. We also discussed replacing my panel because it was dated and I had previous issues with it. He gave me a couple flat rate prices for that as well. After discussing the options, he agreed to give me a discount on the flat rate if I upgraded the panel. With his assistant, they were able to fix all of my issues and upgrade my panel and fuses. He even removed a pesky nail on my stairs as well as identifying and fixing a dimmer I had forgotten about. Abinesh also took the time to answer all of my questions. He was patient and good at communicating throughout the process. The only negative is his flat rate pricing could end up being quite a bit more than the hourly rate would have cost you. That said, I am satisfied with the work he did and would definitely consider him for future electrical work. read more

When our garage lights went out, we went on a hunt trying to find out the source of the problem. LEAVE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL. Abinesh not only identified the problem, he also identified safety hazards that all our outlets were lacking. He suggested, to prevent fires from burning fuses, to have all the outlets replaced and even had them all child proofed. Such a relief. He even placed in a new main switch box and reorganized the wiring. It was crazy when he opened it. Thank goodness for Abinesh. If you're concerned for safety and improving the electrical integrity of your home, rest assured that your loved ones will be safe once he's done his job. He was also very careful about moving objects in our home and he is very vocal about doing something BEFORE he does it. (I know some contractors do it and charge you after the fact) So there are no surprises. And he's a hoot to talk story with. Big Mahalo to Abinesh! read more

I called Abinesh's Electric a couple years back when I brilliantly plugged a space heater into the same circuit as my microwave and blew the circuit . Not a crowning moment, but Abinesh came to the rescue within hours and helped us out and made sure I understood how to safely use a space heater. Fast forward .... we are now preparing our home to rent and realized the wonderful hack job the previous owner did of installing a closet light that had live wire exposed and other atrocities and wanted to have it redone, properly and safe for our renter. He came within hours of calling, provided a fair quote, worked professionally and diligently and is super friendly. I'd definitely call him again with any electrical needs. read more

We were referred to Abinesh's Electric by our daughter who had glowing remarks about him on the work he did at her home. We wanted to replace the electrical panel that was installed in 1977 when the house was built. He was very responsive by text and phone and came out in short time to look at the project and give us an estimate. He started the job within a week and told us it would take one day. He arrived on time and worked all day until 5:30 pm. He barely took time for lunch. The new panel looked great! After he was finished he took a look at an outlet inside the house that had not been working for over 10 years. He identified the problem and was able to resolve the problem to our mutual agreement, by that time it was 6:30 pm. We were very impressed that he took the time to look at it and did not even charge us. He's a very kind person and hard worker. He stands by his work and made sure we knew to call him if there was any problem. Inspector came out today and gave his "Approval". We highly recommend him to others in need of an excellent Electrician. read more

Lost power to the house on Christmas Eve, spent the morning waiting for PG&E who troubleshooter and determined it was too serious for their expertise. Called every electrician in the East Bay, and Abinesh was the only one free and willing to make the trip. He was prompt, professional, and as an electrical engineer quickly found the shorted wire, way down in our neighbor's basement I might add (nice work, landlord) and repaired the short. Power is on!
