I wanted to add three grounded electrical outlets in my garage, one off of an existing outlet and two new ones on its own switch. I contacted 12 different electricians and Anthony was one of the most responsive and provided one of the best quotes. He's also one of only a handful on Yelp who were also willing to discuss via message, as most people want to schedule an initial consultation. On-site, Anthony arrived on time and was able to confirm that it was possible to get the outlets in my desired locations. He completed the job in a few hours and at high quality. 5/5 would recommend. I contacted Martin Electric for some minor electrical work (install a breaker and some outlets in my garage), and to also discuss some major electrical work (upgrade my house service from 100a to 200a). Anthony was very responsive via email and we set up a date time for him to come and have a look. Anthony was very friendly/personable and very knowledgeable. He walked me through options and we dsicussed various approaches. He said that he would send me quotes. He never responded- I got 'ghosted'. If he didn't want the work or never intended to respond back to me, he should've simply been honest and told me so that I could move on. Instead I waited around for him and now my project is delayed which is frustrating and further erodes my trust in contractors. read more

Very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of info over the phone regarding Hayward home, will be calling Martin electric for work.

I called Martin Electric on a Friday morning after finding out the light in my main bathroom isn't turning on and some outlets in my 2nd bedroom stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting and some googling, I've realized it was my GFCI outlet tripping. I went on Yelp (ofcourse) to find an electrician that is available to come in and also reasonable price. I called 3 businesses and Martin was the one who can come in and sounded nice on the phone. The scheduling was also very seamless. At the day of the appointment, Martin and his associate came on time! They were very polite and pleasant. I showed them the outlets that were tripping and explained what was happening. After about 30ish minutes - Martin and his associate finished fixing the problem. He explained to me what was wrong and how he fixed it. We tried the lights and outlets and everything works!! Martin also offered that if anything comes up again to give him a call - which was very generous! I super recommend Martin because he's knowledgeable, pleasant and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely do business w Martin Electric again if I needed some electric work. Thanks Martin & associate!! read more

Excellent service, great company to work with and we couldn't be happier! read more

Anthony was great! My house was freezing due to a fuse being blown. He prioritized this and made a quick visit and fixed it in no time. Didn't charge me extra for the quick visit! Was friendly and explained the issue and pointed other issues for future maintenance Strongly recommend him for electrical needs! read more

Anthony is THE MAN. I was so excited to find him on Yelp after literally every handy man in my life bailed on me and all the handy-persons on Yelp said they don't do the sort of job I was looking for. Anthony was ridiculously nice and honestly just nice to hang with in my apartment for a few hours (and I never say that about anyone but my cat). He was chill, didn't make awkward conversation, didn't judge my nutso handyman request or that my apartment was anything but orderly or even that I totally did not even have close to enough of the supplies I needed for the job I was requesting. He might just be the most personable and patient man on the planet. What I wanted was someone to put some temporary wallpaper up. I felt that doing it correctly was not a talent that I possess... turns out, figuring out how much wallpaper I needed is also not a talent of mine. I had nowhere close to enough but Anthony did what he could, never made me feel dumb, and gave me a real break on the hourly fees because I think he felt bad for me. Anthony is a prompt, honest, and stand up guy and I recommend him for any and all your home/apartment service needs. read more

I have problems with my outlets and lights in the kitchen and dining table. Anthony showed up on the 2 hours window timeframe and was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem same day. I recommend this company on your electrical problems. Victor read more

Our sump pump under the house burned out. Anthony Martin did an outstanding job, not only going into the cramped, muddy crawl space to replace the pump, but also tracing the electric circuit to find the underlying problem. He found that a mistake installing the furnace, years ago, caused the short circuit. We are very pleased with his work. Anthony gives good value for the price. read more

I had Anthony come to my house to install a dimmer switch. With quick work Anthony installed the switch, but then we discovered that my ceiling fan in another room did not respond to the remote. Anthony took a look at the ceiling fan and found that the receiver had stopped working. He came back the next day and installed a new receiver and got my ceiling fan working again. I called on Monday and he came out Tuesday. Anthony is very pleasant and is accommodating to work with my schedule. He wore an actual mask (not a neck scarf), and he took his shoes off. read more

Finally an electrician I can trust. I contacted Anthony and scheduled an appointment. He was very communicative and even has an SMS system that calls you to confirm your appointment. When I arrived home we discussed the scope of work and everything was very reasonable. His assistant Lea (spelling) was very friendly and it was great to have someone who really knew what they were doing. I had a major electrical rewiring job done which required some new conduit, new wires, new circuit breaker and he was able to go out and get the parts and work into the night with headlamps on (gets dark early) and test it all out. I had to leave the house and asked them to lock the gate when they left and text me just so I knew it was done. Around an hour later I received the text and came home to find it all working great. Today, I received a follow up call from Lea just checking on things to make sure everything was still working as expected. Great customer service! I hope they always keep the customer service going as that was a major part of my satisfaction. Great communication, reasonable costs with discussion before any money is spent, and good followup. I have been looking for years for a reliable electrician and now I have one! 5 stars all the way! read more

Anthony in Martin Electric was great in repairing my existing whole house fan and helping to install an additional fan in the attic of my house. He is honest. Originally I asked Anthony to replace the existing whole house fan because it was making metal to metal loud noises before it stopped working, thinking it was broken. However when he arrived to install the new fan, he was able to repair the existing fan and told me that the fan still in good condition and didn't need to be replaced. He reviewed with me my options and the benefits of installing another fan to extract the hot air directly out of the attic would help reduce the hot air trap on the top/ceiling of the living areas below which would help cool off the living areas. I took his advice and had him installed the new fan. I appreciate his honesty and work ethics. Thanks Anthony! read more

We had a short somewhere in our overhead lighting system that we couldn't pin down. Turned out to be a breaker that was failing physically. We could have had a fire if this wasn't discovered and replaced. We chose this business because the big majority of electricians do new installations, and don't feature repairs. This one does. He gave us a break on the cost because we are a non- profit. read more

Excellent prompt service when I was in a real bind. Anthony was so nice and fixed my problem. The price was also very reasonable.

I was so glad that I found him on Yelp and also thanks for all the past reviewers provided best information about his work. Today I experienced his enthusiasm and professional the same way. Anthony arrived on time and very friendly. He tested everything to identify the issue and did the tasks I asked for. He installed my kitchen faucet ( and told me how to re-use this old one), checked my AC/heater, fixed the problem and installed the wifi thermostat. And the price is reasonable!!! I highly recommend him and will definitely ask his service in the future. Thank you, Anthony!! read more

Called regarding a circuit breaker problem, Anthony talked me thru over the phone and found out it was one of the fuse blown on the main. Bought one from Home Depot and the problem is fixed. It's nice that someone would talk to you over the phone to troubleshoot the problem , it would have caused me few hundred dollars for such a simple fix if an electrician would come over. Again, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! read more

Loved the work Anthony did at my place. I contacted Anthony via Yelp to install Fan and couple of flush mounts. The quotes i received from Anthony were very reasonable. He was extremely professional, did a fantastic job going above & beyond his duty and completed the job in time. He was helpful enough to teach me how to install a new dimmer as well. He also clean up after his work was completed. I was so satisfied with his work that I called him again in a week to install 2 more fans. I will highly recommend him for all electric work. read more

A tree fell on our Powerline knocking out power to our house and damaging our weather mast. Anthony was there the night we called working into the evening to do the necessary repairs so PGE could do to hook up. When he saw that we would be without power quarantining with a cOVID positive 4 year old He offered to install a generator hook up and loaned us a generator for the week which was truly a lifesaver. It was an extraordinarily stressful situation was made significantly better by Anthony's responsiveness and attentiveness. A truly deserved five star review. read more

Our electricity went out on a Thursday night. After some initial inspection we found that we lot power only to a portion of the house and unfortunately it included some of our major appliances like heat, and refrigeration. The next morning we called Liberty Beyond and a few others but Anthony gave use the most reasonable quote. He gave me a time to come out to the house and was on time. Secondly he did a quick inspection and found that its probably not an issue in the house and asked me to call PGE. PGE as came out and said that it's not their equipment that was faulty. Anthony was quite generous and told me that if PGE say its not their problem he can come out again to check on things with no extra charge. And that is exactly what he did the following morning. He fixed it but was not convinced that he had found the root cause. He went investigating some more and found the real issue. I felt he went above and beyond what he needed to and therefore will be my go-to contact for an electrician in the area. Highly recommend Anthony for his expertise and his work ethic. read more

Anyone looking for a reliable and affordable electrician look no further. I probably contacted 7 electricians before finding Anthony. Not only did he actually return my phone call and texts, he also came very soon after contacting him. He also charged what I would consider a very reasonable amount for the work. And also did it to code. Not only that but he did an excellent job overall and was very pleasant in his demeanor as well. Communicated well, answered all my questions, and didn't stop until the job was perfect. read more

Everyone needs an Anthony! Anthony is awesome. Gave me an estimate promptly, and was kind enough to schedule me as soon as possible. He intalled an electrical plug under our sink required for our dishwasher installation. Anthony did a great job in making sure I know and understand the process of installation. He was also very accomodating in answering questions regarding our heater issue which was totally a separate topic from the original purpose of the service call. Overall, I'm very happy to have found Anthony on yelp, and I feel comfort in knowing that there's someone I can depend on when the need arise in our home. read more
