Needed a plumber to help remove the old toilet fill valve and replace it with a new one. Most plumbers were busy on a rainy Sunday. I called General SF and spoke to Yevgeny. He told me he could not get to my house until approximately 9:00 pm. He was very professional and even tried to help me for free, when he asked me to text him a picture of the fill valve. Unfortunately, his suggestion didn't work, so I needed him to come in person. When he arrived, he impressed me when he removed his shoes without being asked. I wasn't going to ask him to remove his shoes, as there was a water leak and the floor was just recently mopped. He replaced the fill valve effortlessly. I looked at my son, as we were struggling with removing the old fill valve. Leave it to a professional. He cleaned up the job area and I was charged a reasonable price. I highly recommend working with General SF. They helped me diagnose an issue that caused a massive leak in my upstairs and downstairs. In trying to diagnose, I worked with leak detection folks, water remediation folks, plumbers and electricians. I also worked with appliance repair folks and appliance manufacturers to try and ascertain what had caused my leak. General SF worked with me like it was a problem we were both looking to solve. They were the only ones to actually figure out the problem (an issue with a PG&E wire into my home that caused voltage fluctuations and burned out two appliance water lines) and amazingly, did this diagnosis with me (over several weeks) free of cost. We had a leak under our sink from a corroded pipe and Yevgeny was able to come out on short notice, on a Sunday no less. He was very knowledgeable and competent, and explained to us the tradeoffs associated with the different options (e.g. replacing one section vs. multiple sections). We needed to fix a light fixture on a very high ceiling and the work was required to be done by a certified electrician. After requesting quotes from different firms we chose Yevgeny and scheduled a visit (the price he offered was reasonable). His services were professional, he fixed that electrical fixture and even asked if we needed something else. For quite a while our washing machine was not working properly, it washed dishes, but dirty water was spilling partially around the sink so we barely used it. Last week our heating system just up and quit working, just in time for a cold snap in SF (and we live in the Sunset, so you know it's cold in early March). Yevgeny from GeneralSF came out to the house at 7:35P that night (!) and figured out that the motor needed to blow heat through the house has died. Unfortunately, he said, the needed part was on back order and not expected to be available until March 23. (Did I mention this happened on March 3rd? Did I mention "cold"?).
