Josue and Eduardo are simply the best. They are communicative, come when they say they will, do what they say they're gonna do, and go above and beyond on the details. Super knowledgable electricians and really cool dudes. As busy as they are, they always make sure they get back to me when I have questions or need help with something. It is so rare to have it be a pleasure to work with someone on home improvement or repairs -- Josue and Eduardo definitely help to lower the stress! read more

Had an issue with illuminated house numbers that were recently installed by someone else. The lights were flickering and finally stopped working as well as our doorbell. Josue responded very quickly to my request. Josue diagnosed the issue and was very good at explaining what created the problem. Josue and Eduardo replaced the doorbell transformer and installed a new line driver to power the house numbers separately. I am very happy everything is working now and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend RD Handyman for all your electrical needs. read more

I found Josue and his brother on Yelp. Josue responded to me request the same day. He was honest and was considerate of my budget. We worked out an agreement and the work started the next day. I was so impressed with his work, i decided to hire them for a second project in my home (which was a bigger project). His work ethic, professionalism and skills are great! He is very personable and over time my nephew and I really enjoyed small talk with him. Josue recently wrapped up the project and we were actually sad to see him leave. I needed my electrical panel replaced, and Josue gave me a great quote. He and his team did a great job. They were professional and worked efficiently to replace the panel in less than a day so that we wouldn't be without power for too long. Josue is honest and a great communicator and worked with me to suit my needs. It's been a year and the electrical panel has been working great! I recently had some issues with PGE, and Josue came promptly to verify the electrical panel wasn't the cause. I really appreciated that he took ownership over his work even long after the job was finished. read more

This review is for Josue of RD Handyman for replacing my overhang light fixture. Overall, I was 100% satisfied with the service provided. Josue returned my calls promptly and gave me reasonable estimate. He arrived early on the day of appointment, checked the fixture and recommended the safest and sturdiest way to replace the fixture. He showed and explained what he was doing with patience. Thanks again Josue for the great job and being a nice person. Really impressed with Josue and his brother and the work they do. They were responsive when I first contacted them and had the best pricing of all the electricians I looked at to install a 240V outlet outside of my house to plug an EV in for charging. Great attitude, excellent workmanship, efficient communication throughout and even fixed my fuse box door that was broken and wouldn't close/lock properly. I'll be calling them again for my future electrical needs. Thanks RD! read more

I recently had my popcorn ceiling removed and decided to update the living room lighting to recessed lighting. I also had bedrooms that didn't have an existing central light fixture so I needed help with new wiring. After getting several quotes that had a wide range of prices, I decided to go with Josue due to his reasonable quote and quick response to any questions I had. He took the time to explain the scope of work and was very flexible with scheduling around my other contractors. He was able to complete the project in two days and I am very happy with the end result. I'll definitely reach out to him again if I ever have any other electrical needs. read more

The recent storms have caused half of my kitchen outlets from working. I reached out multiple electricians on yelp. I ended up going with RD Handyman for the price and the guarantee that they won't charge if they did not find anything wrong. All other places charged per hour even if they don't find any issues. Scheduling was a breeze. I reached out to Eduardo and Josue. They were very responsive. Answered all my questions and kept texting me with updates. On arrival they put on covers on their shoes. I explained the issue and they were able to fix it very quickly. They also explained the issue and what they did to resolve it. I am glad I used their services. I will definitely use them again for future jobs. read more

I had an issue with an LED strip light that was installed over my bathroom vanity. It had started flickering, so I ordered the part and replaced the bulb only, but no luck. I contacted RD Handyman because of recommendations posted on another site, as well as the Yelp reviews. I called Sunday and Josue answered and he said he can stop by on Tuesday after 2pm. Josue arrived as he said, confirmed that the entire unit needed to be replaced and completed the job quickly and efficiently. One final note: Josue is enthusiastic about the work that he does, and was also helpful in answering questions about further repairs. read more

I needed to have an attic fan installed in a gable vent, all the way across my narrow attic from the access door. Josue was quick to give a quote via the Yelp messaging feature, the price was great, and he was extremely responsive via Yelp messaging and via phone. It turned out that the job was a little bit more complicated than initially expected, but the team went the extra mile and made sure to take care of everything that I needed to get the fan installed. They even showed me a video of the completed install taken from the attic. An enthusiastic five stars - they are local and so I know I will be calling again for future projects! read more

We had a list of electrical work we needed done at our home but electricians are hard to come by. Eduardo came by after we requested a quote on yelp and it is clear he knew what he was talking about. He gave us a reasonable quote and work was scheduled for a little over a week later. On the day of, he and his team showed up on time and ready to roll. They kept my house tidy even though recessed lighting installation is dusty work which I so appreciate. (They did a lot of other wiring work but no photos for those.) I highly recommend Josue. He is super responsive when I called and texted for questions and scheduling. He is the only electrician tried his best to set up a same day troubleshooting appointment when we lost power today (I thought it was a panel issue and called around). He arrived promptly. After checking up, he informed me it was a PGE power line/transformer issue and stayed with me when I reported this to PGE to provide details. I can't thank Josue enough for his expertise to help us locate an issue quickly that initially PGE outage reporting site said otherwise. Thank you, Josue. read more

Breaker/Fuse panel door wasn't shut properly after a PG&E employee asked to look at something because of construction going on next door. I woke up at 3 am Friday to find most of the power to the house off and when I checked the breakers, the panel door was wide open in the rain storm. 4 breakers went bad due to the water damage. Called Josue at RD Handyman at 8a.m. and they arrived within an hour or so and had the breakers replaced and working again by 11am. Great service and communication. Would definitely use them again for any electrical issues. read more

Hired Josue and his team for a couple projects in my house - one involved installing wiring for a Nest thermostat (and the thermostat itself), and the other involved installing a new circuit in my kitchen. They do excellent work, are very transparent about pricing and the work that needs to be done, and most importantly, they're kind. They took great care to keep my home clean and tidy up after themselves, and also took the time to thoroughly explain to me the scope of work that needed to be done.
