McCartney Painting is the absolute best. They did a phenomenal job painting my house. It looks beautiful, and the team needed very little input from me to make it that way. But what sets them apart for me are all the little things. They power washed my driveway, patched and painted my garden wall, fixed some window frames, etc. and at a great price. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Kieron and his crew painted my house in the fall of 2024. We had to reschedule a few times due to my changing schedule and made a few adjustments during the course of the project; Kieron accommodated these needs and provided honest and timely service start to finish. We did consider various other companies, but decided that McCartney Painting was the best option - based on our experience, I am confident that we made the correct decision. read more

We were extremely satisfied with Kieron and his team. His bid was a little more but the the company's history and it being a family run business convinced us to hire McCartney. From start to finish our experience with McCartney Painting was excellent and professional. We'd easily hire them again. read more

I've worked with many professionals in the construction industry, and Kieron and his team truly stand out as one of the best. After reaching out to several companies for exterior painting quotes, Kieron impressed me with his personable, honest, and straightforward approach. The contract was clear and detailed, and he was always available to answer any questions I had along the way. Although good painters are often booked 3-6 months in advance, Kieron was able to fit my smaller project in sooner--and even finished ahead of schedule. I was genuinely impressed by how much his team accomplished each day and how thoroughly they cleaned up after themselves. They were respectful, efficient, and required very little from me throughout the process. Once I finalized my colors, the project became completely stress-free. There were no surprises, just great communication and excellent results. I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out. Thank you Kieron, Miguel, and Simon for a job exceptionally well done! read more

It was a pleasure to work with McCartney painting to paint our house and front walkway. Kieron was very communicative, up front with everything, and had good pricing. We needed some work done prior to painting and he recommended a great carpenter we used. Miguel, the project manager, was very friendly, helpful and the painters at the house were kind, quiet and considerate. The quality of the paint job is great, and we would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended. read more

We were very happy with McCartney Painting. They showed up on time, kept everything clean, and worked quietly. Their attention to detail impressed us. They fixed the issues we pointed out and fixed others we hadn't even noticed. They also made sure every window opened properly afterward, which was very important to us! The finished paint job looks great. Miguel (supervisor) was responsive, and the whole team was focused on making sure we were completely satisfied with the results. We would use them again and recommend them to others. It is refreshing to work with contractors who take pride in their work! read more

We've worked with Kieron and McCartney painting for years now, and they do a fantastic job. Great painting contractor. Keiron, Miguel, and his crew did an amazing job painting our home. We live in an older victorian that really need a paint job with a lot of prep required. The crew is polite and professional. I feel we got a fantastic value from Kieron and team. I plan on using them again in the future for any painting work we need. read more

We have just finished having our entire house painted inside and out by San Francisco painting contractor, McCartney Painting, and we are truly delighted with the outcome! Kieron McCartney is great to work with. He might not be the lowest bid you get, but you should absolutely not be deterred by that. His crew are hand picked, highly skilled painters who have been with him a long time. They know how to get beautiful finishes out of water-based enamel, which is not easy to use. (Oil-based enamel paint is no longer available.) He downsized his business several years ago to be able to focus closely on one job at a time. From start to finish, they were here every day. They have a good aesthetic sense. They worked with us to make decisions as needed. They did careful clean up as they went. They planned the job in a way that made the work as undisruptive as it could be - even the kitchen! We loved having them around. We can't recommend them highly enough! You will love the results of their work. read more

After Kieron's team did a good job on a small interior painting project, we hired them again to paint the entire exterior of our building. Once again they did a fantastic job. We're so happy with it, we'll be asking Kieron to tackle some additional interior work for us in the near future. Miguel, his foreman, and the other members of the team were polite, showed up on time, were very responsive to our requests, and were meticulous in cleaning up the site after the work was done. read more

We had a fantastic experience with McCartney Painting. From initial outreach, to providing an estimate and settling on an overall scope, every step of the process with Kieron and his team was seamless. In addition to paint, we needed to do some stucco and roofing repairs as part of the overall project and after consulting with me on the needed repairs, Kieron put me in touch with two separate subcontractors for the work. Once we were ready for paint Kieron and his foreman Miguel came in and accomplished the job in about a week. Kieron even sent out his team to do some minor touchups in the weeks following, which I greatly appreciate. We're super happy with the finished result and would highly recommend McCartney Painting. They truly go above and beyond and I would absolutely hire them again. read more

Kieron and his crew have just finished painting our house in the Avenues - and we are thrilled! They have done a beautiful job, every piece is perfect. We were in Kieron's queue for a few months, and during that time Kieron fixed us up with a handyman who helped clean up exterior bits and bobs to prep for the paint job. The job took about three weeks. Everyone who works with Kieron is so, so easy - calm, quiet, friendly - there is never any drama. Trust me, you have gotten used to your faded paint, the cracked plaster ... a fresh, professional paint job will transform your house. read more

Best paint contractor in SF! We needed significant paint on the rear of the house after major repairs to the deck and stairs. Kieron just finished painting our house and I'm very happy! He was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The contract was clear and straightforward. He made excellent suggestions at key points. The pricing was fair and cheaper than other bids we received. The workmen were polite and friendly and neat. The house looks great! We've received compliments from neighbors and passers-by. One reason I went with McCartney is that he lives in the Sunset himself. He has painted a lot of houses in the Avenues and understands their idiosyncrasies. I plan to have him come back this winter to do some interior walls. Recommended! read more

Kieron and his team blew away my expectations painting my new garage and the 120 ft conduit for my electric car charger installed around the entire length of my building. (My building has a really old paint, that has nothing to do with them) - Very responsive and clear communication - 100% honest. No over promising like others - Quality job (Primers on first day and second coats on second) - Attention to detail (Used different colors for sections of the building perfectly) - Quick and efficient work. They came in both days on time and got done ahead of schedule I will be using them for future projects and refer all my friends who need paint work! read more

Kieron and his team provided top notch service and craftsmanship from start to finish. Kieron scheduled the consultation with me. He was very professional, took very good notes and pictures and provided me with a quote that accurately captures the scope of work. It was quite a wait before the team was able to start work, but that was communicated very early. His foreman, Miguel, and his crew of 2-3 (depending on the day) worked very diligently, arrived everyday before 8am, and took meticulous care in getting the house prepped and painted. It did take a few visits to get everything finalized but Miguel and his crew came each time with a smile on their faces and did everything per my request. Kieron's 5 star review streak speaks for itself. If you want quality, assurance, and a reputation for great craftsmanship, McCartney painting is for you. read more

Our VIctorian home in San Francisco was overdue for exterior painting, and after vetting several local businesses, it was clear that McCartney Painting was best suited for the job. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the initial evaluation by Kieron McCartney, which clearly demonstrated his care for the quality build and maintenance of older homes. The job itself was completed on schedule and with thorough professionalism and expertise by his dedicated team, led by Miguel. They were very patient and willing to experiment with color and placement options, and we're absolutely delighted by the result. One of the things about living in Parkside is how the salty sea air can wreak havoc on both your car's finish and the paint on your house. At least that's what I tell people. The truth is my car is kinda old and its finish has been waning for a minute now and as for the house, I was just plain lazy about getting to it and it doesn't help when finding the right painter is quite the endeavor. Fortunately for me (and the house), I found McCartney Painting. I first Yelped a couple quotes from a couple painters, they came out, gave me their estimates, and McCartney's was the best. I met with Kieran about paperwork and payment and then worked with Paul for the job itself. Paul was prompt, professional, super easy to talk to, and did a superb job of transforming my once slightly dingy orange home to a refreshingly cool blue one. He also gave some very helpful suggestions about color schemes and accents. What I really appreciated was the amount of pride he put into his craft and how it ultimately showed when he finished. Thanks Paul. When the job was done, Kieran gave me call to make sure I was satisfied with the work, to thank me for the business, and to give him a call if I had any concerns. Talk about great customer service. So McCartney Painting was awesome, am totally stoked about my cool painted house, and would highly recommended Kieran and Paul any day of the week. As for the paint job on my car, I regret to say there was nothing either Kieran or Paul could do to help me with that job. Although, if they were, it'd probably turn out pretty cool as well. read more

I've had my house in San Francisco painted three times since 1992, most recently in February. McCartney Painting is the one of the three that I will hire again. And they do small jobs, too! The staff consists of only a handful of bright and personable professionals, so you get to know everyone involved in the job. They're extremely knowledgable, technically very skilled, and very attentive to detail. They respond immediately and considerately to any concern or question. Their prices were surprisingly competitive for being so highly rated. They finished the job in about half the time it's taken other painters--no disappearing for days on end. I very highly recommend them, and look forward to working with them again. read more

Five stars so far for responsive, clear and professional communication. Kieron's wife replied pretty much immediately to my Yelp enquiry and passed on Kieron's details so I could liaise with him directly. From first message on the Monday, visit to the house the next day and a clear, detailed quote a day after that he has inspired confidence from the get-go. I've decided to go with him for the exterior painting job at my mom's house after contacting a couple of others and will follow up on my review here with the final outcome.
