In May 2026, I communicated with 110/220V Electric via email and scheduled an estimate to have my old and outdated electrical panel replaced at my house (built in the 1950s) with a 200 amp panel and service. Bart and his team promptly came to my house and provided me with what I opine was a very reasonable quote for the project. Compared with a similar project I had done on my parents' house, Bart's price was neither the least expensive nor the most expensive...it was right in between. I was drawn to using 110/220V Electric because: Bart has a long history of working on San Bruno houses that need panel upgrades; reviews on Yelp and Google appeared to be consistently positive; and I appreciated that 110/220V Electric is a true family business. After signing off on his proposed quote and providing a small down payment on the project, Bart began coordinating with PG&E for approval. When coordination with PG&E was done, the project was set for early July 2026. Bart and his team completed the panel project within a couple of days as promised. I was only without power for a few short hours on one of the days. After the panel was installed, the city inspector provided the initial approval (the ever important "green tag") but required a cabinet to be installed to encase and protect the electrical panel. Bart recommended someone who was experienced building electrical panel cabinets pursuant to city requirements. Luckily, the recommended person was readily available to build and install the cabinet for me. Within a week, the city inspector came back out and gave the project the final approval. The team kept the work area around the project cleared and clean at the end of each work day. They swept everything up after the project was done. I called 110/220V Electric yesterday afternoon to move my range 220V outlet for a new range. They had just had a cancelation for this morning. Review based on communication and scheduling: I requested service, tried to align scheduling for about a month. They chose a bigger job over mine, which I understand. However, planning was not good at all. There was one text from them to me which was to see if I was available the next day which I could not do with my work schedule. When I offered several other options for dates they would not respond until much later. I had to pay storage for an appliance I could not have delivered until electrical work was done. In the end I went with another company that was reliable and immediate with communication and convenient scheduling. Responding to Bart's response to my original review: The work was NOT scheduled on Aug 21 nor Aug 22. On Aug 8th you asked if I had exact dates. I responded the same day with exact dates (Aug 29, 30, 31 OR Aug 21, 22). You did not respond. I then texted you again on Aug 9th and asked to let me know if either of those dates worked, and you did not respond. On Aug 17th you texted me back (9 days later) and said one of those days would probably work, 21 or 22. This was still a loose answer not scheduled, and my schedule was no longer available now for Aug 21/22. So I said I can clear my schedule for Aug 29, 30, 31. You did NOT respond again. I texted you politely back 2 days later, Aug 19th and asked again, are you available on those proposed dates, and even offered Aug 23rd as an available day. You finally responded Aug 21st and recommended I work with a different contractor as our schedules were conflicting. What's also frustrating is my inquiry for this work started on July 25th, when I sent you the requested photos for estimates. read more

They gave us a fair and honest estimate, did the work in one day set up and passed inspection another day. All in all power was down just 7 hours which for me was amazing because I have a 3,000 gallon Koi pond I didn't want down, they offered auxiliary power for the pond ,but he estimated work.could be done in 8 hours with power back up and running and that was good enough not effect any pond issues. They came on time, gave a reasonable quote, and we decided to get the job done right there and then. They are professional, family-owned, licensed, and experienced with these installations. The job was an installation of a generator transfer switch (Reliance 31406CWK) inside the house behind the wall where my main electrical panel is outside. After about an hour, they were done, and we tried my EcoFlow Delta Pro (and Extra Battery) connected to the transfer switch to backup all six 120V circuits that power my entire house. TL;DR 110/220V is a family-owned business. Bart and his two sons are extremely reliable, are neat, clean up after themselves, and quick to respond. Around November 2021, we recently purchased a 1950s Daly City home (around 1000 sqft) that had the original knob and tube electrical wiring. During our preliminary home inspection, it was pointed out that we had to fix a splice in the attic. We called in another electric company around December 2021 to get an estimate, and they basically told us that we had to change out all the wiring in our house. We never got a quote from that company. We knew that we needed to get an estimate and that's how I found Bart. I reached out to him on Yelp and he responded within the hour. The next day he was already at our house, ON TIME, and did a thorough walkthrough. He also agreed that we had to rewire our house, but unlike the other electrician, he explained why everything had to be done. Bart also gave some suggestions on how to future-proof our home by installing a main panel and sub panel that can handle more electricity than we need, in case we ever decide to get an EV, tankless water heater, etc. He had already established that trust in us. The next day or so, he sent us an estimate. We reviewed it, and though it was pricey, it was something that we knew had to be done. After doing thorough searching and speaking with friends and family, Bart's price was fair. He maintained thorough communication with us about scheduling the work. We gave him a code to our front door and he and his two sons worked throughout the day (typically 8am-4pm). They were always on time. They wore shoe covers inside of the house as well. Every day they made sure to clean up after themselves and were respectful in moving some of our items out of the way and not making a mess. This aspect was important to me because it showed their quality of work and how they truly care about their customers. Bart gave us a payment plan and told us his strategy for how he was going to rewire our house -- basically work from the outside in (changed the main panel and sub panel on the first day, then did the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen). At the end of every day, we did a walkthrough to check up on the work and it was excellent. There were minimal holes made in the walls -- really only what was necessary, and nothing bigger than the size of a small hand. They work with a high attention to detail too -- all of the electrical outlets had their flathead screws facing the same direction (not important, but a nice touch to say the least). At the very end, Bart explained to us what to do if any of the circuits in our house tripped and where everything is. He's done everything he's promised. We had a miscommunication (on our part) about a dryer outlet, but he gave us a really good price to get the work done. Bart is an honest guy, really transparent, and genuine.
