Signed up for the Des Moines Margarita Crawl shortly after tickets went on sale. The host location was announced 2 1/2 weeks before the event. Other locations were announced 3 days before the event, with one yet 'TBD'. The Facebook message said it would be announce by the day before the event, but it wasn't announced there...but may have been posted on Evenbrite. All were within walking distance of each other. They may have wanted you to go to them in order, but that wasn't clear. It didn't seem to matter as some were not available until a time later than the starting time, some were understaffed, and there was quite a bit of confusion about the 'deals' that were available. Each location did have some sort of margarita, but many were very specific flavors that not everyone would enjoy. There was only one person from the company to check in and process all the attendees (500 or so maybe?). Took 35 minutes in line to get into the first location, which was very crowded. None of the locations we went to looked for the required wristband to give you their deals. The 'deals' were no better than you'd get at most happy hours, and some weren't even that good. The one location in the area that has a renowned margarita didn't participate. Next time we'll save our money and just go buy a few good margaritas. read more

I've been to a LOT of events here in Tucson, and the "TUCSON SANGRIA FESTIVAL" on 1/11/2020 hosted at The Rock was BY FAR the worst event I've ever wasted money on.. Very poor choice of location.. The Rock is a dive bar... EXTREMELY dark inside and not enough seating area on the patio. We bought 4 VIP tickets, not to mention 4 other friends bought 4 VIP tickets. The VIP included a t-shirt...which, were were literally plain black shirts only avail in medium and large.. and said "VIP CLUB SANGRIA FESTIVAL 2020". I actually laughed when I saw these knowing I could've made one better myself... VIP included the shirt, and 2 extra drink tickets. Which, by noon, everyone included NON-VIP were grabbing everything that was only supposed to be available for VIP. There was one person the entire time giving tickets, putting wristbands on, so the line was out the door. Upon walking in, there were 4 jugs of "sangria" on the bar. 4 different flavors. Which, I thought to myself, "there must be more outside..". As this was my experience at the last Sangria festival at TCC. (Which, I'm almost CERTAIN is not done by the same event hosts). We were shocked that there was only 4 types of sangria to choose from. The drinks were pretty watered down. They ended up running out of one flavor by 12:30. There were supposed to be two raffles. Only one was done. There was supposed to be a VIP raffle for a TV and an iPad, which never happened. Another thing was that, we paid $50.00 (almost ($40 with the NEWYEAR discount) which, what we paid for, this was NOT even close to being worth it. I was so upset that we had paid that much and we all felt like it was so overpriced. There were people coming in (not VIP) and they were just giving away the shirts, and sunglasses, the koozies to whoever. It was so poorly organized and if I would've got the same swag that was given to regular tickets, I would have NEVER paid for VIP. These event hosts/company is the biggest scam I've ever experienced.. I (as well as the other 6 other people who went with me) will NEVER pay to go to an event hosted by them again. read more

My friend and I bought tickets to the OKC Taco & Margarita Crawl on 8 February 2020. Not sure what our ticket paid for exactly... 1) Only 5 venues listed for 6 hours 2) 3 of the 5 venues were more than a mile away from the registration place 3) The only 'swag' were cheap plastic leis and cammo printed koozies...cause nothing says 'margarita' like cammo print 4) Even though 'taco' was part of the gimmick, there was only *a* taco place, which was over a mile away 5) The two places within walking distance didn't offer any discount on margaritas After 90 minutes my friend and I realized that the 'event' was a joke and went rogue and went to Michael Murphy's Piano Bar and had an amazing time. I'm mystified as to why this wasn't better. There are 20+ drinking establishments within 1/8th mile radius of Bricktown, OKC. There are also dozens of taco trucks they could have enlisted. Bar Crawl Unlimited are either lazy, incompetent, or indeed scam artists. Maybe they *should* call themselves a scam; being good scheisters is better than being bad business operators. read more

Our group of friends have been to many events and unfortunately the Tucson Sangria Festival put on by Bar Crawl Unlimited at The Rock was the most disappointing event we have ever been to. We all spent $40-$50 each to get the upgraded VIP tickets. This was meant to include getting in 1hr early, 2 extra tasting tickets, a VIP shirt, and a VIP exclusive raffle for the chance to win a 55" TV and an IPad. Upon arrival we got our shirt and realized the event was just 4 jugs of sangria at the bar and their usual DJ. Once the non VIP crowd was allowed in we noticed anyone could help themselves to the VIP merchandise. The biggest slap to the face came when they began the raffle. One raffle ticket was drawn (non VIP tickets included) and a $250 gift card was given away. When we asked about the VIP raffle and showed them the page showing where it said a VIP exclusive raffle would take place for a 55" TV and an IPad, we were told that they had changed that and it would no longer be happening. Essentially we paid close to double the price of a normal ticket for 2 extra drink tickets. Everything about this event seemed last minute and poorly planned. All around we all were extremely disappointed with this event and the company that put it on and have decided we will never be going to another event put on by them again. read more

THIS IS A RIP OFF. You pay $20 ($25 day of for a VENMO payment with no service charge.......) to walk around the city and pay for drinks at bars that couldn't care less about the crawl because no one checked stamps AT ALL. I still could have gotten the drink "deals" from the locations listed on Facebook without the $25 fee. Some bars ran out of alcohol. Some were understaffed. One even mentioned that they were unaware of the event. The bars were scattered across town and listed in a nonsensical order for people walking. There was no map, special cup, bag, wristband, or anything special. Why did we all pay $20?! I need to understand this. I will never do this again and I will actively tell my local friends to avoid events from this company when they come back into town. read more

Don't waste your time with this company. They "hosted" a local margarita crawl promising 3-5 vendors participation with discounted drinks. The crawl was scheduled from 2-8p. The first location had decent specials and was the pickup point for our wristbands. The second place was not aware that they were event participating and did not have any specials/offers for the attendees. The third and last location was not even open until 5pm. I requested a refund and was told they were working on it. After multiple follow-ups, they still haven't awarded a refund for any of the event attendees and it's now 2 months later. A friend and I bought tickets for 20 each in Colorado Springs, the event was "rescheduled" which is absolute nonsense. I can plainly see now why they have a one star review as this seems to be a common thing. I contacted them as my friend and I are both moving away before the rescheduled event is to take place, they said I'd get a refund on Monday - it's Thursday now and they've ignored all my messages and I have no refund. Update - I was told I would receive a refund and now they're "under new management" and won't give it. Yet, they want to "make up for my experience"...how exactly is that going to happen? read more

MAJOR NATIONAL SCAM. Purchased tickets online for Raleigh, NC Mimosa Crawl for the wife and discovered that the drink specials from each "host bar" are available to EVERYONE. Essentially this company advertises everyday specials as their own and charges for tickets to a non existent bar crawl. While getting tons of business (and free advertising), the bars have no idea of the scam and many don't know they are on the list of participating host bars. For them, it's just another Sunday where Mimosas and Bloody Marys are $5. If you see it on Facebook, stay far away. Hopefully one day these guys will be caught and prosecuted for fraud. ***SCAM ALERT** I wish I could give this 0 stars. Margarita crawl was supposed to happen in April 2020. Due to covid it got postponed to September 2020, then February 2021, and now it's supposedly scheduled for 10/23/21. I can no longer find any information about this event on Facebook, Google, or the EventBrite website. After some more Google searching, I found that Bar Crawl Unlimited is no longer in business so this is an absolute SCAM. I contacted the BBB but they were unable to assist me with getting a refund because they can't get in contact with anyone at Bar Crawl Unlimited. I purchased these tickets in April 2020 so I was unable to dispute the charge with my bank because it has been so long. I've contacted EventBrite several times and they keep telling me to contact Bar Crawl Unlimited and/or dispute the charge with my bank. I don't even think it's real people responding to me. I have been extremely disappointed in Bar Crawl Unlimited. Many people were upset that they would not issue refunds to the New Orleans Margarita Bar Crawl at The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street in July 2019. The event was cancelled the day before it was scheduled, with no refunds given. People wanted refunds because Hurricane Barry's landfall was scheduled in New Orleans for the night of the bar crawl that had been canceled. After many negative Facebook comments, Bar Crawl Unlimited generously offered a refund to everyone for that special case. HOWEVER, over two weeks later, no one I know has actually gotten a refund even after many emails and calls to Bar Crawl Unlimited. The only way anyone got their money back was to file a fraudulent business claim with their bank. The Bar Crawl Unlimited Facebook is currently blocking anyone on Facebook that is leaving a comment asking for a refund, or suggesting that the business is weird for deleting comments asking for this refund that has been promised. Comments asking for refunds, and comments containing negative reviews have all been hidden by the business' social media moderators. I actually spoke to their PR guy on the phone, who promised to give me free tickets to the New Orleans crawl in November for being patient and honest with him on the phone (he was nice, apologetic, and said he had no control over the Facebook moderators blocking everyone, but that he would work on it). He promised to speak to the social media team to "unblock" me on Facebook (for writing a comment asking why no one was receiving refunds). However, neither of these PROMISED things have happened, as well as no refunds, and because I am still blocked on their only social media platform, I have no way to tell others who may be interested in this event that they are being dishonest to both me and my friends. They are behaving dishonestly, and unfortunately, I will not be attending any of their events. Bar Crawl Unlimited refuses to accept responsibility and wants to put blame on the bars for THEIR poor coordination and mistakes attempted to post to the event page but it will get denied by admins. I've read all posts and it's my understanding you guys don't do refunds and you don't accept blame for bars running out of stock. BUT after talking to multiple people it also sounds like this was poorly coordinated and communicated to the appropriate people which is 100% on "bar crawl unlimited" 1) The host bar didn't even open and serve alcohol until 5pm. So IN THE MIDDLE OF A WISCONSIN WINTER DAY we all had to stand outside sober for a solid hour+ while we waited to register. Bar crawl unlimited is fully responsible for this because the $15,000+ you made on this event should have covered someone googling Stones Throw and looking at their hours. I googled it and said oh that's weird they don't open until 5, they must be opening early for this event, "cool"... but NOPE. They didn't. A different bar should have hosted. The lady that opened stones throw also casually strolled up at 2:30 so it was clear that communication hadn't been made to her properly. 2) Clancy's bar ran out of margaritas after making MAYBE 20 of them... the bartender looked extremely overwhelmed when we all poured into the bar (mind you it's a small dive bar) and was SHOCKED when we were all ordering margaritas. It was very clear that they didn't understand the magnitude of this bar crawl. It is 100% on "Bar Crawl Unlimited" for not using that $15,000+ to get on the phone and coordinate that THE BARS "Bar Crawl Unlimited" PICK HAVE MARGARITAS FOR A MARGARITA BAR CRAWL. 3) The Silly Serrano was a "fast food" taco place... equivalent to a chipotle. Wildly inappropriate location for a BAR CRAWL. That is a family establishment and you have HUNDREDS of insanely drunk adults crowded in there IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. THIS IS WISCONSIN, WE KNOW HOW TO DRINK. It was VERY crowded there wasn't enough room and AGAIN the line was out the door. They also ran out of supplies. Again, It is 100% on "Bar Crawl Unlimited" for not using that $15,000+ to GOOGLE A MORE APPROPRIATE OPTION. Couldn't have found some taco food trucks from anywhere in or around the Eau Claire area that were willing to park outside the bar locations? With the amount of business they would have got I know "Bar Crawl Unlimited" could have found a better option. 4) EVERY LOCATION RAN OUT OF MARGARITAS / "SPECIALS" FAST 5) EVERY LOCATION WAS TOO SMALL AND A CHILL DIVE BAR. Eau Claire has TONS of fun bars that would have been a much better fit for an event like this. I believe that $15,000 I keep mentioning should have covered a little research on the area and maybe even a cheap flight over here to the great state of Wisconsin in advance to scout out the locations. 6) "Bar Crawl Unlimited" also posted in the Event tickets would sell out and there were a *limited* number of tickets which was not accurate. WAY TOO MANY TICKETS WERE SOLD So my question/ concern is, what did my ticket pay for? (which, mind you, was listed at $14.99 but when you went to Eventbrite to buy it, price was $19.99 BEFORE service fees) (VIP were over $40, also listed as $34.99) I personally think it sounds like "Bar Crawl Unlimited" really dropped the ball on this one and someone profited $15,000+. Wow, this is the worst event I've ever paid to attend. $25 for a mimosa festival that was held in a grungy rock bar with no natural light, snacks or even WATER. The table of plastic leis and drink coozies did alarm me but I decided to be open minded. Well the pre made mimosas were horrendous! Super sweet with little sparkling wine. Also, how on earth do you pre make mimosas? Just pathetic. The ambience was bizarre too, the dj played random rock songs but threw in the Pina colada song, sooo weird. The drinks were so bad and sugary that event promoters just began giving drink tickets away but we didn't even bother to redeem them. What an embarrassment. read more

Do not do it! I participated in the Aug 3, 2019 Margarita Crawl in Indianapolis, Indiana. Big mistake and waste of money. There were only 6 venues participating, and one didn't open until 1 hour before the event was finished. Apparently it was only listed for the "afterparty." One venue offered a taco special, but ran out of tacos less than 2 hours in and had run out of taco toppings sooner than that. The margarita prices were not discounted for crawl participants, they were the same price for the general public, and our wristbands that we paid nearly $30 for, got us nothing. I am incredibly disappointed in this event and the event coordinators. I will never participate in an event sponsored by Bar Crawl Unlimited, and neither should you. read more

My friends and I left early and didn't even take advantage of the drink specials because the line was so long. And... This weekend there is a pub crawl planned for New Orleans. This was the lamest, most over-priced, idiotic excuse for a bar crawl I ever could have imagined. Not only did the drinks and the overly loud music SUCK, but there was NO CRAWL at all - the whole thing was in the same bar. Do they not understand the meaning of a bar crawl?? After paying $50 a ticket for VIP entry (strategically they'd sold out of the basic entry) at the Sacramento margarita crawl, we had to wait outside for half an hour just to get in because they insisted on giving everyone super-generic "bar crawl" t-shirts & beer coozies, wristbands, raffle tickets and a bunch of other unnecessary junk that has nothing to do with a bar crawl... then we could only get a couple varieties of the same shitty margaritas... This was nothing like they advertised it was going to be . The drinks had barely any alcohol in them and they were really sweet. This was not worth the 25.00 that my friends and I paid. They were pre-made and not cold. They ran out of some of the flavors only half way into the event.The atmosphere for the bar crawl was not inviting. There were not enough seats inside. So people were sitting outside. The music was not what you would expect to be listening to when you are drinking Mimosas. It should have been a more relaxing type of music not the rock we were hearing in the background. read more

The Margarita Crawl In Indianapolis was horrible! Drinks were pure sour mix, so called specials were for anyone whom walked in bar. Food specials didn't exist. Paid $33 for a paper wristband, beads, and sunglasses bought from a dollar store. Could have at least given T-shirts and discounts for drinks to the participants only. One bar even refused service to a group! Tin Roof and Kilroys were the only legit participants. After party was a joke as well, didn't even offer food to buy. There needs to be refunds given back for the money they stole from the ones who thought we would get something for the money we spent. read more

I was hesitance when I bought my tickets with all the "scams" HOWEVER, I want to put some good karma out there and honestly give a good review, since I was going into this last weekend with a negative thought. (not going to lie, social media scared me, tons of scammers are out there) I bought my ticket for For Collins Margarita Crawl, yes the bars and specials were announced late (only reason why its not 5 stars, and should work on) However when announced I was surprised about how many bars were involved, and all of the specials, I honestly got my money worth. Margarita are not cheap, so when you're buying more than one, its worth it. Honestly what really wow me, were the guys at the door. Adam and Thomas, they were fast getting me in, not only that informed me if I had a great time, I should come the next day to the other event that Unlimited Bar Crawl partner with called Mimosa Slam (they gave my friend and I a deal on admission). This event needs a 5 star review, one bar, mimosa for 4 hours at a discount and a wrestling show. I met two guys who used to be in the WWE, Chris Masters (was easy one the eyes ) and I think his name was Ellsworth. I may have just became a fan due to these guys. After said all that, yes people will warn you its a scam (BUT if you read is discussions, you get what you are promise.) One of the bars listed had no drink specials, another bar didn't even open till 7 when the crawl was 2-8p, and another ran out of their taco specials before we got there early on! We just went around finding the bars on the list on our own, which we could've done without paying anyone. Total scam! Do you want to know how big of a scam this company actually is? The company address linked on their website is the address of a Virtual Office Address Company in Tuscon, Arizona. They don't even have a physical address and probably are running this company from a Starbucks. Bar Crawl Unlimited cancelled the event the day of the actual event and sent out no notifications to any of the event attendees. I bought a ticket two weeks ahead of time and did not even get a notification that the event was cancelled, I had to find out when I was looking for the address an hour before the event. The Eventbrite Page, also a horrible horrible scam of a company, gave the address of an abandoned building in Downtown. I would have let all this go, but they have a No-Refund Policy and Eventbrite, the sleezballs that they are, allowed this to happen to their customers. This was in California and also happened to a bunch of people in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and New Orleans So essentially both of these companies stole $80 from us, cancelled the event the day of, wouldn't return any of the emails calls or messages through Eventbrite or Facebook, didn't acknowledge the refund ticket request and then wiped the entire existence of this event from their Facebook. If I didn't have PayPal I would have been out 80 dollars DO NOT BUY TICKETS ON EVENTBRITE they are just as scummy as Bar Crawl Unlimited is. Look at their refund policy.
