Chicken parm
Stephanie L.

Casual restaurant with a full bar and some TVs. There's 3 seating areas, main dining room, bar and high top tables. They are always busy even on weekdays. The food was amazing! I had Gigi's parpadelle and it came with a pesto cream sauce and large shrimp. I also tried their chicken parm which was such a large portion. The fried calamari appetizer was really small though I wish they gave more on the plate. Did not come with bread but you can ask for it.

Really great dinner here yesterday. Our waitress was very nice. Food was delicious. The salmon and steak were amazing. The grilled pork chop is HUGE! And super delicious. rack of lamb was great too. Good apps! I recommend the rice balls!

If I could give Ami 10 stars, I would!…read more I've been hosting events at Ami for the past year, and each one has been better than the last. Last Thursday evening, we hosted a Psychic & Sushi Fundraiser benefiting TheraYouth Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic services to underserved children. The Ami team--including one of the owners, Siu, along with Grace, Zion, Connor, and many others--did an outstanding job serving nearly 90 attendees. The buffet was absolutely amazing, featuring edamame, gyoza, a variety of maki rolls, fried rice and noodles. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was! Working with Siu to customize a menu that fit our budget was seamless. She is professional, accommodating, and truly a pleasure to work with. Guests also had the option to order from the regular menu and enjoy drinks from the bar, which made the evening even more enjoyable. If you're looking to host a small event in a beautiful restaurant with exceptional food and outstanding service, I highly recommend Ami. They consistently exceed expectations, and I look forward to hosting many more events there!

Their cocktail program is inventive and offers something for everyone. The culinary team does New American well, but adds little unexpected dashes that show their ability to stretch. We ordered dishes for the table to start, and they were very flavorful. We each ordered different brunch entrees and there wasn't a mediocre thing on the table. Truly a standout team. It was a pleasure to meet the chef and hear his thoughts behind the composition of the plates. We relied on other diners to find this recommendation so we need to add to the chorus: don't skip this place - you will miss a great opportunity for a wonderful experience.

The space has a warm and modern feel. On the food side, I enjoyed a beet salad. The dish was beautifully presented with a generous portion of beets underneath a tower of greens, topped with a fried goat cheese cake. Delicious! For cocktails, I started with "The Perfect Pairing" - a seasonal whiskey cocktail with Widow Jane applewood rye, Aperol, spicy pear liqueur, bitters, and muddled orange. I really enjoyed this sturdy cocktail. I'm not much of a dessert cocktail person, but Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is my flavor, so I indulged with mixology ace Giovanni's "Mint Chocolate Martini." Pumping up the vanilla vodka, creme de menthe and another liqueur was mint chocolate ice cream. Other guests were raving about the espresso martinis (that use freshly brewed espresso right off the machine). It's safe to say that dessert cocktails are a strong suit at Providence Bar! Chatting with owner Eric, I learned that the patio has a retractable roof which will be opening up with warmer weather close at hand. They also hold special events (wine and food pairings, cigar nights, mixology classes). With great food, cocktails, and service - Providence Bar is highly recommended. I look forward to returning soon.

We went to brunch here last Mother's Day and had a wonderful experience. The food and service were…read moreexcellent, so my husband made 10:00 a.m. reservations again for this Mother's Day. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived. We were the only people there, yet the floor around our table was dirty with old Goldfish crackers and blueberries. We ordered the banana bread appetizer, an egg tortilla bowl, a western omelet, and two kids' waffles. The banana bread appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our food arrived, and everything was ice cold. The breakfast potatoes tasted old, as if they had been made the day before. While it wasn't ideal, we tried to be understanding since it was a holiday and the staff may have been overwhelmed. The highlight of the meal was the fresh-squeezed orange juice that we enjoyed with our BYOB champagne. However, no one checked on our table during the meal, and I eventually had to stop someone just to ask for the check. When reviewing the bill, I realized the kids' waffles seemed more expensive than expected. Sure enough, we had been overcharged for each one. When I politely questioned it, I was told, "That's the price in our register," and the staff gave me a hard time about correcting it. After asking again, they reluctantly handed me cash for the difference. The waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience, especially compared to how much we enjoyed it last year. Sadly, we'll be choosing a different spot for Mother's Day brunch next year.

Worst dining experience I've had in a long time--if not ever…read more To start, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Our waitress was just fine, but it was clear she lacked proper training in basic service and restaurant etiquette. Honestly I don't think she wanted to be there, was wearing sweatpants and could barely hear her when she spoke. The issues with the food began right away. I ordered a fruit cup for my son and was initially told they didn't have fruit--despite it being listed on the menu. After pointing that out, it was brought to the table, but the fruit was clearly spoiled, especially the strawberries. They had tried to cut around the rotten parts, which was honestly disgusting and concerning given this was being served to a 2-year-old. We immediately sent it back. I ordered a burger with sautéed onions, but it came out with just a few small slivers of what turned out to be pickled onions instead. The burger itself looked incredibly lackluster. I ended up sending it back and, at that point, was completely turned off from ordering anything else. I also wasn't asked if I'd like to order a replacement, there was no apology, no accountability, just a blank stare while the plate was taken away. To make matters worse, we were still charged $6 for the fries that came with the burger, which my son had started eating before I sent it back. I hadn't taken a single bite of the actual meal. My husband's "Kobe beef" sliders came with bacon that was completely inedible, so he had to remove it. My mom ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon but received regular (inedible) bacon instead, and my father's meal was served cold. Overall, the quality of the food across the table was just poor. The bathrooms were also in rough condition. The women's toilet seat was loose and coming off the hinges, I nearly fell. The bill came to $146 after tip, which felt like a complete waste given the experience. Afterward, we actually drove across the street so I could grab chicken soup elsewhere because I left hungry. This was our second time giving this place a chance, and unfortunately, it will be our last.
