Flatbread with beets and olives
Jacqueline T.

This is a great place for drinks and light appetizers, but would not come here for a full dinner. The positives - Golden Amaro was amazing, we got a bottle to take home. The ambiance, decor, and setting of the space was amazing. The food itself tasted very good! The negatives - The price of each dish was quite high, especially for the portion sizes that you got. $21 for a flatbread in the "more substantial" category, but the size was more like appetizer size. Overall would come back for drinks but not the food.

Craig & Jerad

Stopped in with Bob for some snacks and had this non labeled Pinot Noir from 2006 Sean Thackrey - wasn't sure if it was going to be delish or there's a reason there's no label. Jerad was cool at first, he ordered our food, talked to us for a bit, he tasted the wine then said Craig, the GM or the M would really appreciate tasting it. So we shared a glass with each of them. Then JUDAS charged us $28.00 SMACKAROO'S for a corkage charge when they had a third of the bottle - not sure maybe he wanted half of it?? 5 STARS with Craig. fascinating human being - we had a great time talking about industry and traveling for work and pleasure imbibing on excellent beverages. He even gave us a mini-tutorial on Calvados - WOW, I was in Love with this place until Robert told me later about the $28,000 corkage fee - major dbag move imo. Loved the Food and The Service - Go, it's a gem in the area.

Chef's Selection of Four Charcuterie

Celebrated my friend's first paycheck at a new job here (the best part of the meal was at the end when she paid). This place is known for their bar program and the drinks certainly lived up to the hype (I had a non-alcoholic pomegranate spritzer and she had the Shirley Temple). We came for dinner and the overall experience was mixed: (1). Charcuterie plate (4/5) - we chose the chef's selection of 4 and it included liver mousse (excellent), chicken pate (basically chicken spam), pancetta (lardo), salami and pickled vegetables. I am a big fan of the liver mousse. Note that chef's selection means no substitutions. (2). Kabocha Squash Griddle Cake (3/5) - this was OK but I couldn't really taste the Japanese squash. The chanterelles were excellent. (3). Fideo (5/5) - this was surprisingly good. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente and the bread was the perfect consommé soaking device. (4). Roast Chicken (3/5) - this was very moist but was a bit too salty for me. The cauliflower was OK but would have better roasted. (5). Lemon Tart (3/5) - nice simple dessert. Service was good and the restaurant itself was very impressive. It's a bit on the expensive side - with tax and tip and two drinks, this was about $125 per person. Overall, I think it's a 3.5 rating but given the price, I probably expected a more elevated experience.

Grand opening preview was for residents of 1550z the drinks were strong but just right and would highly recommend their gin and scotch options. Big lounge space and lots of walkways. Also their snacks are tasty and pairs well with the drinks. The service was also peak condition. Can't wait for it to open to the public!!

For a small event or private party, Bar Agricole couldn't be more ideal. Last month I reached out to inquire about hosting a birthday dinner for about 12 people. The dinner would be about two weeks away from my initial message, which is admittedly a bit of a tight timeline, but Allison was so accommodating, informative, and helpful in booking this dinner and handling all the logistics of it. The menu the chef put together was elegant and perfectly appropriate and our wonderful waiter Eric was so diligent and gracious. He gave us great wine recommendations and was eager to make sure everyone had a great time. He also greeted us at the door with our boxes of flowers and vases that I had brought for decor, which was very gentlemanly and speaks to Bar Agricole's great service! The St. Vincent room was so elegant and intimate, I really really love the way this space was designed. The restaurant also had this incredible smoky aroma the entire night, I guess from one of their ovens or smokers in the kitchen. Either way, it set such a sultry and classy mood. We had the dinner scheduled for around 7:30, but stayed till closing and the staff was so kind and courteous. They never rushed us or pressured us in any way, and it was just such a pleasant experience and night!

The Dungeness crab is a lot of work but very tasty. We quite enjoyed the flatbread, the pate, and the toasted almonds. Cocktails were high quality too. Would come back.

$1 oysters for happy hour.

Where Love (and cocktails) Found Me…read more Natamo Cabana will always hold a special place in my heart not just for the incredible cocktails and dreamy ambiance, but because it's where I met my fiancé. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, coastal charm of the space. The soft lighting, breezy decor, and gentle music created the perfect backdrop for what would become one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. I came in for cocktails with a friend, not knowing that fate had other plans. One cocktail, a few laughs, and a perfectly timed Old Fashioned later, I found myself deep in conversation with someone who would change my life. Beyond the magic of that night, Natamo Cabana truly delivers. The staff is attentive and kind, always making you feel like you're part of something special. Every time we return, it feels like coming home. We even celebrated our anniversary there, and the team went above and beyond to make it memorable. If you're looking for a place that has great cocktails, Natamo Cabana is it. Who knows you might just meet the love of your life too.

The space has a fun indoor-outdoor party vibe with string lights, a big bar area, and a lot of people moving through throughout the night. Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. It's a good place to stop by if you're already out in the area and want somewhere with music and a busy atmosphere. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around.

The service from the bartenders was just okay. This is definitely the kind of place where you should know exactly what you want to order and stick to classic cocktails. Don't expect anything particularly creative or over-the-top--it's a straightforward, classic bar experience. That said, if you're looking for a true speakeasy vibe, I would recommend this spot. The espresso martini was delicious, and I would come back for the drinks alone. Just don't come in expecting exceptional service.

Luckily, my friend had already been to Iron Horse Cocktails, and suggested we go there instead. Walking down the alleyway it is located in was a nice getaway from the otherwise hectic union square atmosphere. Walking in was also a neat experience that felt like we were stepping out of the city into a tiny pub. We also really liked the atmosphere inside and the cozy upper floor that had an interesting mix of old paintings and woodwork, creating an eclectic feel. I got the We've Got the Beet cocktail with mezcal, beet reduction, ginger, fresh citrus, thyme and firewater bitters. I love mezcal's smoky flavors and was drawn to the combination of ginger, citrus and mezcal flavors in the drink. The cocktail was very good and had a nice smokiness from the mezcal, along with the kick from the ginger and zest from the citrus, creating a refreshing and tasty drink. My friend got the About Thyme, with gin, blackberry liquor, black pepper thyme syrup and fresh citrus. We both really liked his drink as well, which had an interesting kick from the black pepper thyme syrup that offset the gin and blackberry liquor nicely. While we only had time to grab a drink each, we were both very happy with the drinks and would definitely come back the next time we're in the area.

Friendly without being over the top, and he even gave us bar recommendations all over SF, which was a nice bonus. We ordered the Mi Sharona and the El Mariachi. The Mi Sharona leaned a little sweeter than I usually go for but it was still really good. Arrived on a whim at around 6pm on a weekday and found a nice seat at the bar top. They have these little orb lights that can't be moved. Sitting in front of one takes some bar space away from you, so I changed seats to get a few more inches of space. Emilio the bartender was mega friendly and went over some items on the menu. He also told me I was right on time for the saber champagne presentation -more on that in a sec. For drinks, I ordered the Hibiscus Spice and the Paradise cocktail. Both were super fruity and delicious! I had a great time sipping on this while chatting it up with a few folks at the bar. To nibble, I can never say no to ahi tuna tartare and this one was great! The most interesting little wafers, ahi tuna with some avocado cream and a little spicy sauce. I absolutely devoured these! So good! Now for the best part, the champagne presentation! A gentleman gave a little info session on on how this process is done and at the end he took a giant to a bottle of champagne to open it. Really Cool! What made this even better was that everyone at the bar got to snag a complimentary glass. What a treat! Super cute little hour of so sitting at the bar at the St. Regis.
