Looking Down The Barrel - great if you love old fashioneds but want something dif. Recommended by the lovely bartender

I really enjoyed my spontaneous stop at this bar. The interior is beautiful. I sat at the bar and enjoyed two wonderful cocktails. A little pricey but the recommendations, bartender and the drinks were solid so it was a worthy splurge.

Beautiful bar with expertly crafted cocktails. Their matcha cocktail (can't remember the name) was delicious - perfectly balanced and unique. Yes, drinks are pricey, but that's expected for a luxury hotel bar. Great spot for a special night out.

Stopped by during the week for drinks and a bite. This place is gorgeous. Really nice decor. Raj was the bartender and the service and drinks were amazing. Started off drinking wine and then i tried the matcha colada with tequila insead of gin. Try it! Thank me later. I also tried the spicy chicken and that was good too. They also give you comp popcorn and nuts which is a nice snack to have while enjoying the drinks.

Good vibes and ambiance. Although the bar is upscale, the energy is relaxed. The seasonal cocktails are interesting and unique.

Fig toast

Delicious! It was the fig toast with caramelized onions and crispy prosciutto. It was light yet very fulfilling. Perfect for an app with drinks (I also ordered tea).

One of my favorite spots in the city! Staff is always super friendly and kind! The food is amazing. My favorite items on their menu are the truffle fries, burger, and short rib. Jose usually works at the bar and he is extremely kind and great at making drinks! Super clean and upscale establishment.

The St Regis bar is one I've frequented religiously for years now. The staff are some of the finest people you'll find in any SF establishment. Joe, Jose, and Ricardo have been behind the bar for years and are a part of the appeal of paying a visit. The cocktails are always excellent and the bartenders go above and beyond to make sure your experience is a good one. The octopus is one of my personal favorites on the food menu. Highly recommend letting the bartender know your spirit of choice and trusting in them to lead you in the right direction! If you're looking for a special experience, arrive prior to 6PM for a traditional champagne saber! The bar was updated a few years back and the new look is beautiful and modern, very instagrammable if that's your cup of tea!

The St. Regis in San Francisco used to be my camp group when I was traveling to the city for work. Since I moved to SF three years ago, I haven't gotten the privilege to stay there anymore. Their breakfast is one of the best.

This review is for their Art of Tea Afternoon Tea Service. I've had my fair share of afternoon teas in SF and London and was initially weary of this location after reading some mix reviews, but decided to give it a try anyways. I consider myself an afternoon tea snob and prefer going to tea service that have modern and elegant ambiance, with aesthetics in their food and presentation to match. St. Regis, definitely did not disappoint and is now my favorite afternoon tea spot in SF (savory, sweets, service, ambiance). I took my BFF here to celebrate her birthday and we opted for the regular tea without the alcohol $69/person (before tax and tips). AMBIANCE: The tea is in the hotel lobby/bar area which has very modern and clean vibe. We were seated at parallel sofas with a coffee table in between us giving it a very relaxed and chill vibe, but also a little weird to eat with such a low table. TEA/FOOD: We were given different types of tea leaves to sniff and choose from. The tea came in a French press and a set of timers, which was pleasantly new to me. The savory and sweets came out at the in a beautifully presented triangle display with a colorful array of small assorted bites. Unlike, a lot of afternoon tea places, they had a variety of savory bites - not just sandwiches. They were all very food and flavorful, though pretty small. I enjoyed all the sweets! Every single one! All the high tea places I've been to, either underwhelmed me with at least 1-2 of their selections or just had overly sweet pastries. We especially enjoyed their jalapeno corn bread with corn cream. The only thing missing from their selection are scones! They offered jam and cream, but no scones! Where are the scones? SERVICE: 10/10. Our server went above the beyond for our service! Very attentive and friendly. Verdict: Had a great experience, but for $69+ we expected at least some additional scones. But their savory and sweet selection were nearly perfect.

Best drinks in San Francisco!! The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are very attentive. Definitely recommend the red snapper Bloody Mary and the charcuterie board! Raj and Louis went above and beyond and made our experience perfect! (If anyone in the world deserves a raise, it's them) 100/10 food, drinks and people!

Such a heavenly dinner. The drinks and food are a work of art, never leaving the tastebuds wanting more. Don't skip dessert! The service was everything you would expect-perfection.

It's been awhile. We came back for a quick stay! Pop up dinner for GoZu SF Restaurant (soon to be open by chef Marc Zimmerman, former Guy Savoy Vegas and Alexander's Steakhouse SF), the pop up was at AVERY. Plus I got some meeting with the Automation Conference, literally flew back from Miami, got home to Silicon Valley for 3 hours and drive up to San Francisco for this! Much needed a drink and St Regis Lobby Bar Barman Eric cane to rescue. Sorter cocktail list now. But Eric was able to whipped up a Mezcal Spicy drink for me! My bestie had a foo foo girly cocktail which she loved it! Kale salad and chicken snack dish to save our bellies from making unbearable noises! We then came back later for another round! Eric was attentive, genuinely asked how was our dinner! Later Barman Jose helped us with another round of delish cocktails too! The bar was jam packed with midfield aged and elderly white men, HA! Typical St Regis crowd, also JD Power Conference SBE SF Ballet Opening Night, so go figure! We had a great time regardless! And Eric allowed us to take our drinks to our suite since it was last call! Great drink and great service! My kind of place!

Where Love (and cocktails) Found Me…read more Natamo Cabana will always hold a special place in my heart not just for the incredible cocktails and dreamy ambiance, but because it's where I met my fiancé. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, coastal charm of the space. The soft lighting, breezy decor, and gentle music created the perfect backdrop for what would become one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. I came in for cocktails with a friend, not knowing that fate had other plans. One cocktail, a few laughs, and a perfectly timed Old Fashioned later, I found myself deep in conversation with someone who would change my life. Beyond the magic of that night, Natamo Cabana truly delivers. The staff is attentive and kind, always making you feel like you're part of something special. Every time we return, it feels like coming home. We even celebrated our anniversary there, and the team went above and beyond to make it memorable. If you're looking for a place that has great cocktails, Natamo Cabana is it. Who knows you might just meet the love of your life too.

The space has a fun indoor-outdoor party vibe with string lights, a big bar area, and a lot of people moving through throughout the night. Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. It's a good place to stop by if you're already out in the area and want somewhere with music and a busy atmosphere. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around.

The service from the bartenders was just okay. This is definitely the kind of place where you should know exactly what you want to order and stick to classic cocktails. Don't expect anything particularly creative or over-the-top--it's a straightforward, classic bar experience. That said, if you're looking for a true speakeasy vibe, I would recommend this spot. The espresso martini was delicious, and I would come back for the drinks alone. Just don't come in expecting exceptional service.

Luckily, my friend had already been to Iron Horse Cocktails, and suggested we go there instead. Walking down the alleyway it is located in was a nice getaway from the otherwise hectic union square atmosphere. Walking in was also a neat experience that felt like we were stepping out of the city into a tiny pub. We also really liked the atmosphere inside and the cozy upper floor that had an interesting mix of old paintings and woodwork, creating an eclectic feel. I got the We've Got the Beet cocktail with mezcal, beet reduction, ginger, fresh citrus, thyme and firewater bitters. I love mezcal's smoky flavors and was drawn to the combination of ginger, citrus and mezcal flavors in the drink. The cocktail was very good and had a nice smokiness from the mezcal, along with the kick from the ginger and zest from the citrus, creating a refreshing and tasty drink. My friend got the About Thyme, with gin, blackberry liquor, black pepper thyme syrup and fresh citrus. We both really liked his drink as well, which had an interesting kick from the black pepper thyme syrup that offset the gin and blackberry liquor nicely. While we only had time to grab a drink each, we were both very happy with the drinks and would definitely come back the next time we're in the area.

The Mi Sharona leaned a little sweeter than I usually go for but it was still really good.
