Tried their bao at the Best of Honolulu Festival. I got the Korean fried chicken bao (2 for $11) and it was delicious. The bun was perfect. Nice slaw and sauce portions topped with scallions. I'd go back to try their pork belly bao.

I adore the Tam Tam Bao (pictured here, of course!) SO delish, both melt-in-your-mouth juicy body + crispy pork skin !

I had the **Tam Tam Bao** (2 baos for $10) at the Mo'ili'ili Fest and my goodness -- it was the best pork bao I've had in a while. I've had my fair share of pork belly baos as a Taiwanese American (gua bao, ftw), but the ones I've experienced have stayed true to the o.g. braised-meat preparation. Why is the Tam Tam Bao so good? The pork belly is BOTH braised and fried! They fried the skin of belly for an insanely addicting crunch, while still retaining all the nostalgia of the traditional braised pork, omg *sheds tear*. Kind of reminds me of the crispy pork of Hong Kong style street food. Tbh, the actual bread of the steamed bun was meh (could've held shape and bounce more), but I did enjoy the accompanying sauces ("hoisin sauce + secret spices"), as well as the acidity the pickled cucumbers and onions + ginger added. Def would recommend, as it was by far the most delicious item I had at the Fest (and there were a lot of great food vendors!) I am also sad that I was stingy and didn't try out their supposedly also delish KFC bao, but there's always next time :3

Chicken bao with pink bun and tater tots and fried pickles.

Had the chicken bao with tater tots and batter fried pickles for $13 at the Kahala Mall Burger Bash. The chicken was crispy and tender. The bun was slightly sweet and pink! The tater tots and fried pickles were interesting sides. Price was a little on the high side but the food was tasty.

Ocean Edge! Enough for more than one!

I came for two things at the Best of Honolulu festival and one of them was this place. OMG! I had their Ocean Edge which was a mothership of all deliciousness! It had shrimp, snow crabs , lobster, Mac and tater tots. I really wanted to try their steamed bao buns, but I couldn't resist the seafood temptation. It was a serious explosion of flavors in my mouth. I am definitely looking forward to their other items.

Had this also at the Honolulu night market. Cool family business. They put on a show while selling their food which made the experience very fun. Good bao buns, pork belly and sauce.

The menu is simple yet elegant, with plenty of tempting options. Started off with the hamachi crudo. My friend doesn't really eat fish but she said it was worth the try. She took off the skin from the hamachi. She pointed out that it was the first she had hamachi with skin on it! Tried the soft-shell crab pasta, and it did not disappoint--it was absolutely delicious! We also shared the duck salad, which was fresh and flavorful. My friends both ordered the chicken pho, with one adding an egg. They agreed the soup was really good. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Our server was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and happy to explain the menu and answer our questions. We all ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, and it was a favorite at the table. It was perfectly blended and the perfect way to finish the meal. The only downsides are that parking can be a bit difficult, and the restaurant gets quite loud when it's full. Overall, it's a wonderful spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

I would have said 4.5 had I not noticed the large dead b52 on the floor near my seat when we were seated. Aside from that, the place looked clean. I mean.. we are in Chinatown. So.. I would come again.

Not a lot of tables inside but they do appear to have an outdoor seating area in the back. I opted to sit at the bar. My Crystal Tiger cocktail was perfect. The Grilled Kampachi was so good. Cooked to perfection with amazing seasoning and flavors. The accompanying sauce had hint of curry with lovely freh herbs. Loved it! My fave dish of all the ones we tried. We also had the Capellini Granchio. This was also delish. Pasta was perfect. A good amount of crab to flavorful noodles. Is there no policy of cutting off guests? Does it have to take them to fall on the ground hitting the wall? Tables on both sides next to us all complained. Apps: The scallop crudo was excellent and the highlight of the meal. The foie gras toast was greasy, and the foie gras was served as a firm block rather than the smooth, spreadable texture I expected. Main: Our pastas arrived about 45 minutes after being seated. The spaghetti had good flavor but was inconsistently cooked, while the Capellini Granchio was buttery, smooth, and full of crab flavor. Bill: $170 with 3 cocktails minus tip. A few good dishes, but definitely doesn't qualify as a location for date night. I'll be trying the restaurant next door instead.

As someone who used to work in the industry, I know its very difficult to get the first turn out by 7 so I was surprised they had the time option open in the first place. No big deal, it was a really busy night and the chef sent out croquettes as an apology for the wait. Our server was really nice and went over all the menus, there were three, fathers day specials, prefix tasting menu and normal everyday menu. My mom chose the prefix because it came with a calamansi key lime pie option for desert and she absolutely needed it. My dad and brothers ordered off the main menu, and I order off the specials. So we really did get quiet the variety. Overall the food was very creative. But the espresso martini stole the show for me. and the mud pie desert tasted exactly like my martini! SO YUM! I would note that the space could use better airflow since the kitchen is open, or request to sit away on the opposite side of the restaurant if you are sensitive.

The progression of dishes felt thoughtful and creative-- * Crispy Salt & Vinegar Chicken Skin (the perfect starter crunch) * Soupe de Poisson (deep, comforting flavors) * Pina Colada Granita (a refreshing palate cleanser) * Pan Seared Scallops (my personal favorite--perfectly caramelized and tender) * Double Cut Rack of Lamb (succulent and cooked to perfection) * Lemon Crème Brûlée Tart (a sweet, bright finish) Every plate was elegant, well-executed, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere strikes a balance between sophisticated and welcoming. Dim lighting, intimate tables, and quiet elegance make you feel like you've stepped into a hidden gem in the middle of Kaimuki. Honestly, I felt like a celebrity dining here. Service was polished but never pretentious--our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the courses, and kept the pacing of the meal just right.
